Host was really responsive and nice on text. Amenities…water surged and then would spit and then surge for showers and sinks. Slant awkward in bathroom for not hitting head, pans crusted in old food, plates needed to be rewashed. Sparse cooking items or items for making dinner.

Ideal for one person or a couple!

The property was very clean and an easy drive to the town of Bethel, Sunday River and Mt Abram. I would stay there again!

Beautiful Rental in Maine

We stayed for several days while exploring the area and skiing. The unit was extremely comfortable and ideally located for exploring the area. We will definitely be returning next time we're in the area!!

Wonderful Ski Getaway

Can’t beat the location for skiing (right down the street from Mt Abrams and 15 minutes from Sunday River). Very modern, clean and comfortable place to stay, and the host makes the whole process very easy. We will definitely stay there again if the opportunity and availability permits.

This was great! So roomy and a perfect place for skiing at Sunday River. The only con of the property was the water pressure is really funky, but everything else was perfect.

Ski Vacation with Dog

We had a great stay! The condo was very clean and nicely renovated. There is great walkability and nice trails nearby; our dog loved it! However, the water pressure is very low (0.75gpm) and you can hear your neighbors upstairs, which is another STR.

Great little place near the mountains

John’s place was great to stay in, perfect size for two people. John was very accommodating and flexible with our needs. I only gave 4 stars due to not realizing we were below another apartment, and the people above were very loud. Other than that, it was a great stay and close to everything.

Perfect for ski weekend

Easy to get to location for Sunday River. The place was immaculately clean and had everything we needed. Easy check-in process. John was proactive with instructions and responsive with question.

Beautifully Remodeled Private Apartment

Gorgeous apartment in old farmhouse. Exceptionally clean! Comfy bed and soft towels! Excellent location to the ski areas and downtown Bethel. Quiet and secure. Loved the area and the host was very responsive. Highly recommend this unit.

Great location

This was a great spot to stay for quick access to Sunday River with just enough space for my husband and I. Unfortunately, the people in the unit above were extremely loud and we could hear them stomping around almost constantly. Aside from that our stay was great, updated unit and appliances, and plenty of hot water.

Perfect Stay in Maine

Locke Mills was the perfect choice for our weekend trip to Maine! The property was spacious and clean, with all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. John was a great host and very responsive to any inquiries we had. One of the highlights of our stay was exploring nearby hiking trails with our pups, which was perfect before setting off to Sunday River (16 minutes away) for a day of snowboarding. Overall, our stay in Maine and Locke Mills was a memorable and rejuvenating experience that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing and/or adventurous vacation.

Ski weekend at Sunday River

Very clean, modern feel to an old farm house. Very close to the town of Bethel (5 minutes in the car); 15-20 minutes to Sunday River. The condo is a good size for 2 people and very comfortable. Minor nits: cold floor in the winter so bring some slippers. The water pressure in the shower is low, which is a little disappointing after a cold day on the slopes. Listing included a hot tub but I didn't see one. I would definitely stay there again.
