Elegant but practical retreat to maximize your enjoyment in beautiful HMB

This house is built with love and an eye for quality and comfort. It is within walking distance from the harbor, surfers beach, mountain biking and hiking trails. You can choose to stay home and still enjoy Half Moon Bay beauty from any window in the house. Gorgeous views will inspire you to go explore, kayak, walk on the beach, buy fresh fish and crab from the harbor and cook an amazing meal in this state of the art well stocked kitchen.
We can comfortably sleep 8 guests in beds and 4 more in floor mattresses. There is a den to play board games and watch TV, sunny nooks to get away with a book and feel enjoy warmth and quiet. Our quality appliances will help you with your meals and get you out the door quickly.
This house is an absolute gem with its location, stunning views, and comfort. We hope you come and stay with us and experience it for your selves.

From beginning to end we had an excellent experience. Our group of ten 1 three year old had plenty of rooms, beds and bathrooms. John our host was responsive to all our questions before, during and after. We would like to plan our next staycation there again. Being from the Sacramento area in the month of August was just what we needed. And the cool weather, beaches and ocean fulfilled our hopes for a great stay.

Great location and beautiful view

Great size and layout for our group of six adults. The location is really great, centrally located to all the local beach towns. Sitting on the deck was perfect, nice view!

The location to the marina and the beach is excellent. The views from the kitchen are better than the pictures. It is a very nice location for a family gathering. The host was very responsive during checkin and throughout the stay. We will be back!

Wonderful Retreat in Half Moon Bay

Our family of 7 (2 couples, 3 singles) really enjoyed our stay. There was plenty of space for everyone and great common areas for us to all be together. The kitchen is especially beautiful! We loved spending time on the deck grilling as well. The host was kind and responsive.

We had such a wonderful stay! The home is beautiful spacious and clean. The only thing we noticed was that the bedroom next to the kitchen could use a little more privacy-something like a barn door or sliding door would make it perfect. Overall , we loved it and we would definitely come back. Thank you

Amazing home.

My multi generational family and I were here for a wedding. John’s home was exactly what we were hoping for. Lots of room to spread out. He was exceptionally fast at returning any communications. I would love to come back sometime. The views are amazing. Thank you.

Destination Graduation with extended family

We rented this house for 9 family members so we could attend my daughter’s graduation from college. We wanted to be in walking distance of the beach (kids did Pillar Point surf camp one week!), restaurants, a grocery store, and a coffee spot. This hit all the things! It was spacious and clean and the kitchen was great. We saved a lot of money by cooking at home!

Great communications with our host, John. Clear written instructions and very friendly interactions and immediate responses. When the blender unexpectedly didn’t work, John made sure we had a working one in time to finish dinner prep. This house was great for the week with our family of 4 couples and two kids. Beds were comfortable. Bathrooms convenient with 2 of the 3 downstairs. Kitchen stocked with plenty of glassware and appliances. Generous dining table, great for games, too. Deck off the kitchen well suited for relaxed evenings and grilling. Great location, within a short drive or doable walk to restaurants and coastal trail.

I am John Henry and I live next door in the tiny house with my son Mac (teen). We are both avid surfers and mountain bikers. We love Half Moon Bay and our community. We are very close with our neighbors and value our friendships. We also love hosting and sharing the abundance Half Moon Bay has to offer. We will do our best to make sure you enjoy your stay.

This house is in walking distance from the harbor, a gourmet grocery store, Michelin star restaurant, fresh seafood, live music, surfers beach, shopping, miles and miles of coastal trail, and endless hiking right outside your door. If you don't want to do any of this, you can still enjoy stunning views from the comfort of our home.
