**Charming Lakefront Retreat with Guest Cottage**

Discover the perfect getaway at our serene home featuring a separate guest cottage, nestled on the tranquil shores of Lake Smith. Enjoy a leisurely stroll to the dock from your peaceful haven, located in a quiet cove away from busy boat traffic—ideal for floating, kayaking, and swimming.

Set on a spacious one-acre lot, our property boasts a large, flat front yard, perfect for yard games and outdoor fun. With 230 feet of pristine waterfront at the end of a secluded dead-end road, you'll experience ultimate tranquility surrounded by nature. Despite its peaceful setting, you're just 5-10 minutes from Smith Lake Marina and Drifter’s Restaurant by car, and a scenic 15-minute boat ride to Trident Marina and Restaurant. For shopping and dining, Cullman is only a short 20-minute drive away.

The main home has been beautifully remodeled with fresh paint, new flooring, cabinets, and countertops. It features three inviting bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms. The sunroom is a favorite gathering spot, filled with windows that offer stunning lake views, a dining table, cozy couches, a TV, and a spacious swinging bench/bed. The main living room includes a large sectional couch, a TV, and an air hockey table, creating a fun space for both kids and adults to enjoy. The master bedroom, with its picturesque lake views, features an ensuite bathroom and direct access to the back deck. The two additional bedrooms share a convenient Jack 'n Jill bathroom, and there's a half bath located off the kitchen.

Step outside to the expansive deck off the sunroom, where you can unwind in the hot tub or fire up the propane grill. This deck leads to a shared outdoor patio area complete with ample seating and a wood-burning chiminea for cozy evenings.

Just a few steps away, the guest cottage offers additional privacy and comfort with a queen bed and a pull-out full-size couch. It includes an efficiency kitchen with a small refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, and toaster, as well as a dining table for two and a full bathroom with a tub/shower combo.

The easy walk to the dock, situated in a calm cove, is just 20 steps down a gentle slope. At full pool (510 ft), the lake depth at the dock is around 15 feet. Enjoy complimentary use of our four kayaks and access to cleats and bumpers for your boat (please note the boat lift is unavailable). A separate deck over the lake provides an excellent spot for summer fishing.

Stay connected with free Wi-Fi, and rest assured that outdoor areas are treated for mosquitoes every two weeks.

This is our second stay and we plan to return. The house is perfect for our family. When we are not in the water, we spend most of our time on the enclosed porch. There is room for everyone, and it is a short walk to the water. The house is clean and well-kept. Great front yard for catching lightening bugs.

The Best

Such a perfect trip! It’s was 10 of us with ages 3-67. Something for everyone. So clean and relaxing. Large yard was fun to play games. Will definitely return to this spot on Smith lake. Our Host were so nice!

Best house on the lake

We’ve been renting houses on Smith Lake for ten years and this has been the best yet, by far. The house is clean, spacious and well stocked. It even smells good and has soft towels! It feels like home, but with a beautiful lake. We will be back!

Perfection!

We had 7 adults between 60 & 84 Two had mobility issues. There are a few entrances that you have to step up . The highest being maybe 8-10 inches but with someone who uses a Walker it was scary for her. Everything else was great! We all had so much fun. Beautiful lake and property.

Wonderful Family Getaway

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful lake house with two of our daughters and two of our grandchildren. The large, level front yard was a nice treat for our grandson as it gave him plenty of space to run and play. We also thoroughly enjoyed the lake views from the hot tub as well as the beautiful lake views from the sun room as we ate our meals in there. The kitchen was well-stocked and the house is beautifully decorated. The location is private and very peaceful but you are not far from restaurants and stores, which was helpful for us. We had a couple of questions and Erika was very quick and helpful with her responses. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend a visit to this wonderful home.

Great location but a few things needs addressing

We had quite a bit of rain on our weekend on the lake. This required that we stayed indoors more than normal. The WiFi needs to be updated as it does not reach the guest house and some other areas of the house very well. There was also an issue with the plumbing in the half bath next to the kitchen area. I also observed weak water pressure in the guest house. The shower was very underwhelming. We may start making this a regular outing this location if they would address these issues.

Perfect Place for Families

This property was all we could ask for and more. The house is so nice and was super clean. All of the amenities provided exceeded expectations from the game closet to the snack basket to the extra toiletries if needed. There is so much attention to detail that did not go unnoticed. We enjoyed the big yard for throwing the baseball and riding bikes, the patio for hanging out most of the day, the fire pit for warmth and smores making, the dock for fishing and swimming, the kayaks, the lilly pad, the air hockey table. All of it was great! The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. The communication with the host was great. We were a family of 3 with 2 sets of grandparents and an uncle. The space was perfect for our needs! We will be back! It was our first time staying at Smith Lake so I was not prepared for how isolated it is but this is not a negative at all but is instead a positive.

Great Holiday Experience

We decided to reserve a lake house for 4 days over Christmas so that the entire family (including 2 infant grandkids) could be together without distractions or other commitments. This property exceeded all of our expectations. It started when we entered the house to find it fully decorated for the Holiday! We didn't expect this and in fact had purchased a "Charlie Brown" cheap tree at 5 Below to have something to place the presents under. No need because there was a fully decorated tree waiting on us! This may seem minor but it shows the attention to detail that we found throughout this property. One final note - the guest cottage was a great feature. My wife and I stayed in it while all others were in the main house. It gave us a periodic refuge when some down time was needed. We loved this house and hope to rent it again during an upcoming Summer to experience more of what the lake can offer.

Great house

We traveled with family ages ranging from 3 yr to 68 yrs. This house was great for us. There was plenty of room for everyone to have their on space. The guest cottage was perfect for the grandparents to escape. We will definitely stay here again.

Great property in a great location

We had a great time at Lake Martin! This home was recently upgraded and is super cute and cozy. There is a lot of space for everyone, from the sunroom, to the deck and patio, to the guest house and fishing dock. Everything was clean and we had everything we needed to enjoy our week. The host was very responsive when we ran out of propane for the fire pit. She had a new tank delivered the next afternoon. Same thing when we couldn’t find the puck for the air hockey table. She had some sent over in a day. Overall, a great property! I would recommend!!

We live on a ranch with 110 acres outside of Nashville but try to spend as much time at Smith Lake as possible. We have 4 children and 4 grandchildren. Smith Lake has been our favorite boating/lake destination for the past 15 years. We love sharing our little piece of heaven with others!

After 5 years of looking for our perfect lakehouse, we found "Our Happy Place" here. The 2 separate homes, gentle slope to the water, privacy, no boat traffic yet close to all the amenities and proximity to Nashville/I-65 was what made us choose this home. The overall peacefulness of this property and multiple outdoor living spaces just pushed us over the edge to take the plunge!
