Escape to Otter Lake! This is an outstanding private family retreat location in the prime region of Muskoka now available to the public! All amenities and furniture is brand new for 2022! Have confidence you are getting the very best. You will immediately feel relaxed and at home simply by approaching the peaceful driveway. Incredible views and sunsets will take your breath away. Relax on the terrace or dock, play in the water, kayak or canoe, the choice is yours. The large kitchen is fully equipped to chef up a wonderful meal and seat the whole family. Room for everyone!

This tastefully, classy home among the trees is a perfect spot for precious family time! The pandemic has kept so many of us apart, finally, a wonderful waterfront property to spread out in and enjoy making memories with loved ones! Spacious enough for small groups to spread out and roomy enough for larger groups to congregate! Best of all worlds here!

Guests will have full access to the entire property.

Leave the place as you found it. Take out the garbage. Disposal address is 3901 Brunel Road, Baysville. Additional charges apply for any garbage left behind as per the rental agreement.
Switch off all lights and lock the doors and windows. Ensure dehumidifier is in working condition, that is empty the water bucket so it starts up.

Leave pots/pans/cookware appliances clean and in place as you find them so they are suitable for next guests. Items left burned/damaged, $40/each.

A beautiful, very clean cottage. Perfect quiet lake great for swimming, canoeing and kayaking. The host was very easy to deal with and quick to respond to any questions. Huntsville was 13 min away and had lovely shops and restaurants. We made wonderful family memories and hope to be back!

Overall this place was perfect for our summer cottage trip. The lake was beautiful to swim in! There is no AC so dress accordingly, but most of our days were spent in the water and outside anyways. The kitchen is well equipped and there was great water pressure and hot and cold water. The owner communicated everything well for the arrival and closing procedures. A short drive to downtown Huntsville which was perfect. Great space on the deck to eat outside. We would book this cottage again.

Good Lake time

Spacious and clean with comfortable furniture and beds. Two washrooms to use between 6 people was good. Best Part - the 2 kayaks and the canoe - used them daily for a little jaunt around the lake.

Beautiful Accommodation

Beautiful property with everything we needed to enjoy Muskoka on the Lake. Otter lake is a quiet lake great for swimming or relaxing on a floaty. The host was accommodating and quick to respond to any of our questions or needs. The property was easy to find and a short drive into town made it accessible for a quick drive back to anything we forgot. Looking forward to future visits!

Comfortable cottage on small peaceful lake

Our 5-night stay at Kumee's comfortable cottage was very pleasant. Otter Lake is small and non-motorized, making it good for swimming, and during our late-August visit the mosquitoes were few and far between, at least in the daytime. Kumee was quick to respond and was always helpful. Thank you, Kumee!

Family Get-Away

We had a wonderful Family getaway. It included a young family, a couple grandparents and of course a fun, auntie and uncle. Otter Lake was the perfect location for us. It was extremely clean and had a lovely feel of spaciousness both inside the cottage and in the yard. The weather was not the best for the first couple days with a fair bit of rain, however, during the breaks, time spent in the kayaks on the perfectly calm water was a highlight. And my 8 yrs old nephew, was obsessed with fishing off the end of the dock with his dad. Oh, and of course, the foosball table was a big hit too! We enjoyed nice walks along the road and through the beautiful trees. On our last night, the weather cleared and we had a lovely campfire 🔥 with wonderful views of the lake, serving as our backdrop. When the night grew darker, the skies opened up even more to reveal a stunning display of stars, including several shooting stars 💫 Our host was extremely quick to respond and we do not hesitate recommending this location to other families. The only tip that I recommend is to have cash available for when you take your garbage to the dump disposal.

Excellent property for our quiet extended family stay (ages 5-92). The kayaks and the canoe were in good condition and and the smaller lake size was perfect for older (90) family members who can't quite manage full canoe trips.. Do bring your own paddles if you care about such things (we did - provided ones were fine, but on the shorter side).House is clean and in excellent shape. Kitchen is sizeable so you can feed a small crowd comfortably (over the weekend we had 9 comfortably in 4 bedrooms). It's 15 minutes to Huntsville, so no worrying if we had packed absolutely everything.Property manager was always prompt and helpful.
