Your 5 Star Retreat! 3 King Beds-10 Min Walk to Downtown McKinney

This beautiful 1938 home has been fully updated, furnished and appointed with our guests in mind. An easy 10 minute walk to the Historic Downtown McKinney Square, 3 large bedrooms (all with King beds) and a queen pull out sofa in the living room, a light & bright open floorpan, an outdoor patio area with fire pit and dining table plus 2 dedicated driveway parking spots ...this property has it all. We'd love to host your group! See you soon!

**If you live in the DFW area and plan to book Cypress Cottage, please note that you must correspond with the host as to your reason for booking. We love to host DFW locals if you're truly planning on using the property as a home away from home. This house is on a beautiful residential street in historic downtown McKinney and it is not to be used as a local "venue". No "parties" allowed (more than 10 people on the property at any one time) and quiet hours are from 11pm-7am. Thank you for helping us keep our beautiful historic home in great condition!

We loved our stay! It was a beautiful home with so many extras to make our stay wonderful and comfortable. Our host was so nice and answered questions about parking etc. We were in town for a wedding weekend and the location was perfect.

We love Cypress Cottage!

One of the cutest and cleanest VRBO’s we have stayed in! Great location! Property host thought of every little detail and was very communicative. Snack basket and bottle of wine was a huge bonus! Highly recommend Cypress Cottage!

Excellent stay

The house is lovely, very well decorated and well laid out. We also loved the location because we walked to downtown MCKINNEY since it’s so close. And it’s a great and very friendly neighborhood.

Perfect!

Stayed for two days to host a friend with her daughters and it was fantastic. The place was clean and well kept. We were welcomed with fresh flowers and a bucket of awesome snacks. All rooms were clean and cozy, will stay again!!

Great Weekend!

We really enjoyed this gym in downtown McKinney. What a great neighborhood and the house was charming, comfortable and very well appointed. Check-in was straightforward and the host was responsive.

Beautiful Property

Beautiful Property in a perfect location! We loved this home. So much detail put in this Vrbo to make sure it felt just like home. It had everything we needed kitchen wise. Overall, even though we stay in different Vrbo’s every time, I’d highly recommend this one to anyone!

Perfect Stay

This property was exactly as the listing described and more. The host has gone above and beyond to ensure everything has been thought out. The street is charming and quiet and close to so many shops and restaurants in downtown McKinney. The beds were so comfortable and we had everything we needed and more. Will stay again!

Cozy & Fun

I brought my 1.5 year old daughter to stay to visit family and the owner offered to have a high chair ready for us! We enjoyed sitting on the front porch in the shade looking at all the beautiful plants and it’s a very convenient location. Kitchen had everything we needed and the host was very helpful.

Had a wonderful stay in this clean, comfortable cottage. Over the top on amenities. Beds and bedding very comfortable. Kitchen has all you need for your meals. The fresh flowers were icing on the cake! Love the neighborhood.

Home away from Home!!

From the moment we stepped into the house it was welcoming and cozy!! The owner has thought of everything!!! So much thought has been put into this property, if you forgot something, no worries it will be in the house!! We went for a family event and my mother who doesn’t travel much thought this house was a perfect spot. We can’t wait to get this house for our future stay to the area. Thanks for a wonderful stay!!

Awesome Home near McKinney Square

We absolutely Loved this cozy home! It’s beautifully decorated, extremely clean, & the location is perfect for walking to the quaint downtown McKinney square. The owner has thought of & provided everything imaginable! Morning coffee & evening wine by the fire pit was our favorite spot. We look forward to returning to this charming “cottage”! Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful time. Everything we wanted was at this house. Phone chargers, and a little dish next to sink to put your rings! It was just like being at home. We will definitely return

Excellent and Awesome

We couldn’t think of one thing we were missing and in fact, it was more than above and beyond. The host has thought of everything, and had so many special touches to make our stay comfortable. Truly a Cozy Cottage

This cottage was dreamy! It is beautifully updated and decorated. The beds were so comfortable, and since there were 6 of us, it was so great that all the beds were king sized. There are also two sitting rooms plus a great fire pit with chairs outside. The owner, Kristine, left us a welcome basket of snacks, wine and maps of the area, which was so thoughtful! She was responded quickly to a couple of questions that we had. Everything about our stay was easy and super cozy!

Perfection

We have been renting houses/BnB’s for 23 years and several comments were made that this is the nicest place we’ve stayed. The decor is beautiful but subtle and calming. The beautiful flowers and the snacks on the table were a wonderful bonus. The location of the house was easy access to downtown and all contact with the hostess, Kristine, was prompt and very pleasant. McKinney is a lovely place to visit and Cypress Cottage is a perfect place to stay.

Cypress Cottage

Cypress Cottage was the best VRBO rental we have ever been a guest at. Kristine went above and beyond to make our stay feel welcomed, at home, and her attention to detail was amazing. She even included a basket of goodies as a warm birthday wish for my husband. This was not expected but it was just one of the many things Kristine did to make us feel welcomed in her beautiful home. We will gladly return and tell all our friends and family about Cypress Cottage!

Graduation celebration

My family stayed at the Cypress Cottage for four nights. The home was clean and beautifully decorated. We enjoyed the firepit in the backyard in the evening with local wine, and coffee on the front porch in the morning. There were fun games and books for a rainy afternoon. Communication with the owner was easy and she was responsive. The downtown area was great fun with lots of shops and restaurants. We walked back and forth a few times.

Lovely cottage exceeded all expectations.

My family and I had an amazing time staying at Cypress Cottage. Everything is extremely well thought of, clean and beautiful. Communication was always detailed and readily available. All questions and concerns prior to our arrival were promptly addressed. Kristine is an outstanding host and we all agreed this has been our best experience staying at a rental property. We had an unforgettable stay and enjoyed all the amenities while also being so close to downtown Mckinney, which was a blast. We will definitely book again in the future.

Home away from Home

This place had everything we needed and then some. You could tell so much care and detail was put into the property to make it very family friendly. Check in and check out was easy and straight forward. There were games to play, a fire pit, the beds were very comfortable, and the decor was so cute. We were even given a welcome basket with some goodies when we arrived. Kristine was always available and thought about our kids when she directed us to a beautiful park with a playground about 15 min walk away. Old Historic McKinney is also a short distance away. We will definitely be staying there again.

Home away from home

I absolutely loved this property. The living room was comfortable and perfect for my husband and I to watch movies together with the three teenagers. The second living room was great for them to get away and play games together. We all sat around the outdoor fire and enjoyed the sunset. The beds had to be my favorite. So comfortable and the sheets were delicious. The welcome package was exceptionally sweet for our stay. I felt safe and comfortable. Will definitely be back!!
