Welcome to Lokahi Orchards, a luxurious resort-style estate featured in the January 2022 edition of Travel + Leisure. Nestled on 5 lush acres along the scenic slopes of Hualālai Volcano, this serene retreat offers panoramic ocean views, hibiscus gardens, fruit orchards, and coffee trees.
Start your mornings with fresh-squeezed juice from oranges picked right on the property—perfect on its own or as a sparkling mimosa. At 800 feet above sea level, you'll enjoy cooler temperatures and refreshing trade winds throughout the day.
The open-concept living area invites indoor-outdoor living at its finest. Slide open the glass doors to the lanai and expand your relaxation space to over 2,000 sq ft. Unwind by the 60-foot sun-heated lap pool, soak in the hot tub, or sunbathe on the expansive deck. As the sun sets, light the tiki torches and enjoy the evening with your favorite music on the built-in sound system. For the ultimate escape, retreat to the gazebo with a plush daybed—an ideal setting for a massage or quiet nap.
The breathtaking primary suite features soaring ceilings, custom cabinetry made from native Hawaiian woods, a king-size bed, and sweeping ocean views. A luxurious soaking tub, walk-in shower, large walk-in closet, and a bonus area with two queen beds.
The gourmet kitchen is built for entertaining, boasting a Wolf range, Sub-Zero refrigerator, two sinks, two dishwashers, a beverage cooler, ice maker, and bar seating. An outdoor Viking grill makes alfresco dining a breeze.
Each guest bedroom includes an en-suite bathroom, TV, and sliding glass doors that open to ocean-view terraces. These rooms are arranged around a peaceful koi pond courtyard, adding to the tranquil ambiance.

Discover Kona & Keauhou – A Blend of History, Sunshine, and Ocean Fun

The sunny Kona District on Hawai'i Island's west coast is beloved for its clear, calm waters and rich cultural heritage. Located about 8 miles south of Kona International Airport, this vibrant region is home to historic landmarks like Hulihe'e Palace, Moku'aikaua Church, and Ahu'ena Heiau.
Kona is also known worldwide for its deep-sea fishing, hosting the annual International Billfish Tournament each August. In October, it welcomes athletes from around the globe for the IRONMAN World Championship. Just inland, the cooler upland slopes are perfect for growing the region's signature Kona coffee—visit a farm to learn more and enjoy a fresh cup.
From sunrise to sunset, Kona offers a wide range of outdoor activities: snorkel, dive, paddle, or simply relax as spinner dolphins and sea turtles swim along the shore. Ali'i Drive, Kona's lively waterfront strip, is lined with oceanfront restaurants and cafés—perfect for enjoying a meal or drink while watching the boats drift by.
At the southern end of Kailua-Kona, Keauhou Bay marks the birthplace of King Kamehameha III. This peaceful bay is a favorite for swimming, canoeing, kayaking, snorkeling, and even spotting graceful manta rays at sunset. It's the ideal launching point for ocean adventures or a quiet day by the sea.

My family and I loved the house and working with Adriana at Luva. She was very helpful and responsive. She knew we wanted to see the volcano erupting and text us to let us know. We were there during the horrible storms and worked with us when all the flights were being cancelled. The home is lovely and very clean. The only negative I can say is none of the dryers worked well. Otherwise this rental is a 5!

The property was beautiful, with astonishing views. It was perfect for a large family gathering. Any issues we had were quickly addressed, and the property manager had good communication. It was a lovely place to begin our vacation.

Loved it!

Stayed at this house for a trip of a lifetime. Raced the Ironman World Championships and got engaged to the live of my life. The house was the perfect back drop. A beautiful oasis to take it all in.

Amazing home for extended family.

The property was incredible. The kitchen was spacious and well stocked and all of the bedrooms were comfortable and clean. Adriana, the property manager, was responsive and made the checkin process very easy. The living area was large enough to accommodate 14 people comfortably while enjoying the view of the grounds and ocean. The only thing we would change is to have the pool heated so all of the people would enjoy a swim and not just the kids. Would definitely return to this house.

Wonderful property

Excellent property! Enjoyed everything about it...except spotty wifi. We were told it was like that after storms on the mountain, but it makes conducting business impossible and limits access to Sonos and kids TV programming. We loved the house, and once wifi issue resolved would recommend it without reservation.

Wonderful home

This home was so beautiful, clean and large. There were so many fruit trees in the yard, we got some fruits. Our kids enjoyed it. Also contact manager is very nice and friendly. When we asked anything, her response was quickly. They can use English and Japanese. We had so wonderful time at this home. I'd love a chance to come back here. Thank you!!!

Fabulous location and amenities

We absolutely loved the house and location. The orchard was a real treat and the grounds were gorgeous. The grandkids enjoyed the pool and hot tub and you couldn’t ask for a more decked out kitchen. The only downfalls are these: 1. The primary suite had a fabulous mattress but all others were very, very hard and along with the issue of NO air conditioning anywhere made sleeping at night a little problematic. I know they say we are up higher on the mountain so the breeze would be cooler but even with the ceiling fans plus floor fans that some purchased while here, it was still plenty warm at times for sleeping. That’s just for owners info if they want to make it a better experience otherwise Hawai’i never disappoints and we got to experience many wonderful things this week that you just don’t see back home in Kansas. Thank you!

Picture this: a gated orchard, beautiful ocean views, a very Hawaiian house, tiki torch sunset dinners, and colorful hibiscus flowers and fruit trees everywhere you look. It was like stepping into a tropical paradise!Before we booked, we were concerned because there was no AC, but it turns out, that didn't matter. The house has cool breezes because of its location, and ceiling fans all over the place.The pool was big enough to keep our kids entertained for hours. One of the boys must have spent two hours in the pool every day! The adults enjoyed the convenience to breweries, cafes, restaurants and ... Costco!Brad and Adriana, the property managers, were amazing and very responsive. Brad even came over to fix some outdoor lights that weren't turning on. To sum up, we loved our time here and will be back! Thank you Lokahi.

We enjoyed many shared meals in the giant open kitchen. We opened all the sliding doors for the great fresh air and open layout. Very convenient location, that’s only 10-15 minutes from many local restaurants and grocery stores in Kona.The endless ocean views were amazing, you could the coastline too. There were so many different types of fruit trees and beautiful flowers. We enjoyed picking starfruit, avocado, and many varieties of oranges. The garden is so lush and beautiful. We used the nice sound system with built in speakers to play our favorite music thru the whole house. It was comfortable with the cooler temperatures and nice breeze because of its high elevation. We enjoyed using the hot tub, swimming pool and grill. The property manager is very responsive and helpful.We highly recommend staying at Lokahi Orchards for a very memorable experience!

The first time I walked into the house, it felt like a personal five star hotel with a great ocean view! Loved the beautiful orchids everywhere. We spent a lot of time in the communal area with the wall of glass sliding doors wide open. The place is luxurious, so many cool places to hang out, great kitchen, and very comfortable with ceiling fans. We had fun picking fruits in the orchards. The lychees and rambutans were in season. What a treat, just like in Southeast Asia! And must mention the fresh picked oranges for orange juice every morning. Town/shops/stores/restaurants are only minutes away. Definitely need a car when staying here to get to town and explore the island. Only problem was that our vacation wasn’t longer. We will be back for another stay!
