Live and Learn

I have been using VRBO for 20+ years and this is my first below average review. I always look at the reviews when choosing a place and I saw that this condo only had 1 review in 2 years. A review in 2022 noted an uncomfortable couch and the siting of "one" cockroach! So I thought I would give the place a try. Before we even unpacked my son and sister found cockroaches in the bathroom and bedroom. I did contact the owner who responded quickly but this is unacceptable. We found dead ones and live ones. We saw them running across the counter and in the silverware drawer. The condo itself was clean and I believe its a problem in the building. We spoke with one of the neighbors who saw the exterminator leaving our condo and wanted to let us know he was there while we were out. He also told us that they have an exterminator too. FYI: the couch is still uncomfortable! I now know if there aren't any recent reviews think twice before booking!!

This place needs help

Broken dishwasher, cranky neighbors, no extra blankets & pillows, couch was broken & uncomfortable and saw a cockroach. Had issues (cockroach & rediculous damage fees) host was not polite and didnt take them seriously. Didnt try the hot tub or pool. Plus side... great location and close to everything.

Great Owner Service

Had an issue with the A/C the day we checked in and the minute I called the owner she was on it. Constantly checking in with us to track maintenance. Offering to help us with a hotel if we needed. She just could not have been more pleasant and accommodating in a yucky situation. When you list a new property, first impressions are everything. A hot property in the summer could absolutely be a turn off and make for some bad reviews. She was so great we suffered through the heat the first night, because she made me believe the problem would be fixed the next day. The next day like clockwork maintenance was there. Even with the A/C trouble I would happily stay at her properties again. Customer service seems to be a dying art lately, but she single handedly renewed my faith in this site. I've had some awful experiences recently with properties on VRBO, with zero accountability from the owners or the site. She was a breath of fresh air!
