Our lovely 2 bedroom surprises most guests with how spacious the rental is with expansive floor plan and the access to a yard to enjoy.
The rental comes with a brand new kitchen with a very open design and lovely countertop to enjoy meal prep and dining. The large teak table is next to the kitchen as well as the living room with so much room. It is truly a great room with sliding glass doors inviting the outside greenery.
The 2 bedrooms are quite nice with a king size bed in one and 2 single beds that can make another king size bed. The bathroom is great with double sinks and bath and shower. The outside hot and cold shower is also right out the door from the bathroom so you can continue your beach clean up easily.
The walk to the beach is about 2 minutes which makes it easy to grab a lunch or a quick rinse from the beach and then go back down to enjoy the amazing beach as I call it. Hope you can experience a very special place with a comfortable and soothing vibe!

Fantastic location, great hostess

House was great! Backyard to grill and eat outside. Had chairs and towels for the beach, which is about 3 houses away. Driving anywhere was easy (as long as you plan around traffic). Rena was extremely friendly and great to rent from. We all had a fantastic time! Aloha

A very relaxing week in Waimanalo

This is a great location if you want to discover the windward, more quiet and scenic side of Oahu. Waimanalo Beach offers the Hawaiian experience the way locals live it. Just a few miles from Kailua or a 30 minute drive from Honolulu, you can still enjoy the larger cities while relaxing on one of the most beautiful beach in the world... without the crowds. As described, the apartment is comfortable, clean and spacious. Ideal for a small family or 2 couples. It is well furbished and we didn't miss anything. The host, Rena, is very welcoming and attentional. She is born on the island and she loves sharing valuable tips and recommendations. We felt like family, from the first minutes. I would definitely go back and recommend this property to friends and family.

Work Trip

I recently stayed here, I was sent to Oahu for work I really didn't want to stay in the very busy congested hotel area. I found this place in the other side of the island from where I was to be working. This was the best decision I made. It was only a 30 min drive to pearl harbor. when I arrived I met Rena. she was great she helped me get settled in. The house was clean and stocked with everything I would need for the next two weeks. the house is steps from the beach (wow beautiful beach) Rena's husband and I would boogie board in the afternoon after work. The neighborhood felt safe and all the people I met were great. Rena and her Husband made me diner a couple of nights. great people. I would stay here again. thumbs up! Thank you Marshall & Rena. My wife son and grandson stayed and had a great time. A little humid the day we came but all in all its Hawaii Rena was great along with her husband. They let us use there boogie boards chairs and towels which made the stay even more enjoyable. Thanks Rena

Great rental!

This was our 2nd stay at Rena's Best Beach. We LOVE the location and the rental is perfect for our family of 4. Short walk to a beautiful beach. Rena was very accommodating on both of our visits. We hope to return. Thanks Rena!!!

We would love to go back!

We had a wonderful, one-week-long, stay in this apartment. The location is perfect, only one minute walk to the very beautiful, long beach with only a few visitors. The whole family (two adults and three children 10-15 years old) loved to go bodyboarding in the waves. Afterwards we had a warm shower in the big garden to get rid of the sand. The apartment itself had everything we needed, and was never to hot, thanks to the fans och the breeze from the wind. Rena, the owner, was very nice and helpful and gave a lot of good advices about where to go, where to eat and so on. Thanks to her we found a very nice restaurant in Waikiki Beach, where we celebrated one of the familymembers birthday. We would love to go back to Renas house in Waimanalo!

Loved the location

The rental really is a 60-90 second walk from the beach. The beach is never crowded with small enough waves a 3 yr old can enjoy the water. It was great for our family. We didn't want the hustle of being in a city and this was a nice local place with fun little local restaurants to discover. Several are a short walk from the house - I drove so I could enjoy the car AC :) The only downside is no Air Conditioning. This is not uncommon on islands and you do have a decent breeze from the trade winds. There are plenty of fans so you can cool down at night when it is time to sleep.

True paradise

Thanks to Rena and her home our family (2 adults and two kids - 8yo & 12yo) spent some fantastic time on Oahu. The location - from any point of view - is just perfect. The right side of the island (fantastic and practically empty beach, beautiful nature), superb location of the house (quiet neighborhood, just a few steps from the beach, no traffic on the streets, close to whatever you needed). The property is really very convenient, clean, cosy and nice and Rena is an oracle of information and advise :-) You will find everything you need on the beach to feel good so - also this aspect of the stay is fine. Definitely if you imagine the house based upon the descriptions / reviews below your picture will be accurate and complete. We will gladly return. Even though the distance for us is somewhat challenging (24-27 hours journey…). Rena - thank you very much indeed!

Our delightful stay in Waimanalo

My husband, granddaughter, and I spent nine delightful days in Rena's and Marshall's beach rental. Steps from one of the most beautiful beaches on Oahu, we spent countless hours relaxing and swimming in the gorgeous water. The rental is cozy and filled with light and cool breezes. It was easy to get around the island and a short drive to Turtle Bay on the North Shore. We had lunch at the resort, swam a bit, and had plenty of time to meander back to our rental by sunset. Rena and Marshall made sure we had everything we needed and shared their little dog with our granddaughter. We would definitely go back !!

Great vacation house for families with kids

Very good accommodation, steps to beautiful quiet beach! The owner was very helpful and let us use baby crib, high chair, beach toys, umbrella, lawn chairs. Recommended to families with young kids. Close to Kailua and Hanauma bay.-+

Wonderful Stay

We had a wonderful time staying in this property and we're looking forward to staying there again. The property is big, clean, complete with cooking/eating utensils and, most of all, just steps away from the beach. Rena, the owner, was very hospitable, accommodating, and friendly... we already miss her cute dog, Kona.

Miller's Home away from Home

My family of four have been staying at this property for many years. We are now including our friends and will be renting the whole house in August. Rena & Marshall are incredibly gracious hosts. They have created a "home-like" environment which is clean and fully stocked with one's needs while vacating in this paradise. As long as we will be visiting Oahu and Rena & Marshall offer this accomodation, we will be staying here! Thank you both!

Best Hawaii Rental because of the owner

2nd time renting. Best rental in Hawaii because of the owner. Fantastic experience, very nice person. Highly recommend getting to know the owner and family. Owner will work with the renter on any inconsistent issues between what is expected as a result from reading the ad and what the renter sees in person. This is contrary to other experiences I have had where the owners try to lure you into a unit using deceptive advertising and try to keep your money even after you complain. Large 2 Bdr/1Bath unit with a king bed and 2 twins put together in a single queen/king sized bed or a king bed and 2 separate twin beds. Unit has sounds of waves crashing on beach and constant warm breeze blowing through the unit. My favorite place to sleep either at night or for an idyllic afternoon nap. Beach access down street less than 3 minutes away. Very quiet, no road or neighbor noise.

Our home away from home!

Our 8 days flew by! Well stocked with everything you need to feel like you are in your own home. Breeze kept us cool and the sound of waves crashing lulled you to sleep. Outside shower and washer/dryer a plus. Large living space so our group of 4 adults never felt in each others way. Rena and Marshall couldn't have been more hospitable. We had a wonderful stay, lazy and relaxing yet just minutes from the "busy side" of Oahu. Ah, the beach, who painted the color of the water, 200 steps away (we counted), in the water everyday. Don't miss sunrise. We placed Pulmeria flowers from the backyard tree on sinks, on pillows and in bowls of water throughout the house on a daily basis. Loved strolling the neighborhood. Everything within walking distance. Loved how the locals were so nice and made us feel a part of their community. Taco Tuesday @ Serge's. Fresh local papaya @ the green market by Mc Donalds. Missed Thursday morning farmers market, it's early 7am. Mahalo again for everything.
