New Orleans Getaway

The listing was inaccurate. I was told it had a pool table but there was no pool table. The owner stated the previous customer broke it. The bed sheets were not cleaned. Sheets had to be washed before we could sleep in the bed.Initially The owner provided 1 roll of toilet paper for 3 bathrooms, no dishwashing liquid or washing powder. I explained the situation and she door dashed the items. The house was "surface clean". The towels were super dingy!!! The bathroom floors rugs were nasty and not been washed. The owner did offer to have the house keeper to come the next day and clean but we decided against it because of personal items in the home. I was disappointed and did not feel comfortable at first. My husband and I cleaned the one room we slept in. The counter tops were old and pealing. She responded in a timely manner. The ceiling fan and lamp shades are visibly dirty and needs cleaning. I have pictures!!!! The worst 1043 spent for 5 days ever!

Okay but disappointed

Let me first say that the host was very nice. However the property didn't quite look like the pictures that are posted. Property looks a little worn in vs the pics must have been taken when it was newly listed and decorated. Upon arrival my guests andarrivaamy guests

Listen...i don't normally rate things badly...no AC when i got there...even though the owner kept telling me it was fixed...if anyone know its extremely hot and humid in New Orleans..it was unbelievable hot for that night...my kids and my digs were extremely hot

Very attentive host.

Host was very responsive to messages. Location was in west Bank about 30 minutes from downtown. Lovely decorated but older house with visible wear and tear. Noise traveled in the house. Over all, I enjoyed it and would stay in again.

Unhandled vacation stay issues

The property was in a nice location but the first thing I noticed was the grass was not cut in the backyard. I notified the property manager on but they could not get anyone to come out and cut the grass. Obviously it had not been cut in a while as the manager said that it had been raining but the grass was too high for the kids to enjoy the backyard. Two of the TVs and two of the bedrooms were not working. And there are obviously bed bugs in the house my family members and the kids got bit up. I showed the pictures to the manager through text message but they never said anything about it. I am very upset about that. Whoever prepared the property as far as cleaning obviously rushed to do it because the rags were all folded but they were still wet. What a way to get people's money knowing that the grass is not cut. people I work with and my business and our vacation properties we make sure the yard is nice and especially with the grass being so high we wouldn't know if there was a snake or anything hidden in the grass that's how high the grass was. manager notified us that there was a party from whoever had it before us and they scratched up the countertops. They should really do some training on cleaning the beds and mattresses and sheets because bed bugs is a serious problem and I did not like that kids and my family got bit up. I reach back out to the manager they have not said anything since we left.
