Plum Royale Jr: Cozy Plum Is. home w/beach access

Get to know Plum Island with your own PRIVATE BEACH area.

Stays are booked Saturday to Saturday, in 7 day increments. We are on the beach with miles of oceanfront to explore in either direction.

We are located just a 7 minute drive from shopping, restaurants, and activities in downtown Newburyport. Salisbury and Salisbury Beach are approximately a 15 minute drive. The house is on the beach side of the street steps away from your private beach access, lots of natural light inside, calming sounds of the waves breaking on the beach, and island restaurants and stores all within 2-15 minutes walking distance! This includes Plum Island Grille, Plum Island Kitchen, Plum Island Beach Coma, Plum Island Provisions, and The Cottage! We hope that you love it so much you will come back every summer!

The space itself is one of 3 separate units on the property and has 2 parking spots. This is unit B and it is the first floor of a building that has unit A above it (unit A occupies the 2 floors above it and unit C is to the south just above the garages). Since unit B is at street level and below the level of the dunes, it does not have any beach views from inside the unit. Most of the windows are facing the street. It does not have any private decks or a grill. But the property is on the beach side of the street and has access to the private beach area that lets you walk onto the public beach. Unit B shares that private beach area with units A and C, and a shared open-air, cold water outdoor shower for rinsing sand and salt water, and cooling off on hot days.

The unit is 732 Sq feet inside with washer/dryer, dishwasher, 2 queen bedrooms, one bathroom, and a pullout couch with a queen mattress.

There is access to a private beach area about 30 paces from your front door. This unit does not have a view of the beach from inside as it Is below the dune level.

The private beach access space is shared with unit 6A, above (Plum Royale).

Plum Island is not traditionally known for having ample parking :). There are 2 private parking spots on the property, but there are a number of public lots nearby for any additional cars, including one directly across the street with an automated pay station.

** There is a $200 security deposit that will be taken in addition to the reservation amount. This is fully refundable.

Plum Royale Jr was very clean and cozy. The beach was easy to access around back of the house. We loved being so close to downtown Newburyport. So many great restaurants and small shops.

Great spot on the beach!

This was a great spot to stay! It was very conveniently located to the beach and the little town on Plum Island. Everything was clean and comfortable. We would love to stay there again!

Great location, less than a minute walk to the beach. A very unique island, with beautiful salt marsh on one side, open ocean on the other. Gorgeous Sandy beach stretching the length of the island. Funky year-round island vibe, one of New England’s most idiosyncratic and unique places. The apartment is spacious, comfortable, well-equipped and -maintained. Comfortable beds, good linens and towels. Excellent, communicative, responsive, friendly, and welcoming property manager.

Great location

Five stars for location and the apartment is very cute and clean. No ocean views but we knew that ahead of time so just a short walk around the house and you are on the beach. Unfortunately there needs to be more insulation between the upstairs apartment and the bedrooms. The people above us were not trying to be loud but every foot step, chair moving and voices came right into the bedroom which went on until 1am each night. Ugh. Make sure to eat at the Riptide and hike the trails of Parker park.

Loved It!!

We went during the off season (on purpose), so pretty much had the beach to ourselves, and no one else was staying at Plum Royale. Very comfortable quarters and very clean. Walk around the house and you are on the beach! Would definitely recommend! The one piece of advice I would offer is that road is a busy one, and the cars move pretty quickly. With the house being so close to the road, I'd just say keep on your toes! Thanks for a great stay!!

The property was cleanTook a bit of time to heat upLovely location Our host could’ve been more timely with responses along the way. All worked out in the end but that’s not the point of a review, right? I highly recommend providing renters with a key/lockbox in the future as the battery on the lock died and we were locked out , in the cold for 90 minutes But the house itself was perfect for us

I booked for two nights, only lasted for one. The unit is marketed as including air conditioning but the one small air conditioner in the living room couldn't keep up to cool the entire unit. It made sleeping uncomfortable, especially for kids. Also, there was a weird musty smell. The outside photos are deceiving because the building itself is in complete disrepair.

Great spot on the beach

We really enjoyed our stay here on Plum Island. The apartment was clean, comfortable and inviting and had everything we needed for a weeks stay. It was an incredible treat to be steps away from the beach, have a private sandy beach area, and be able walk over to the ice cream stand and local restaurants. A great place to stay!

Perfect size rental for my family of 3 with all necessary amenities and very clean! Location was awesome, within walking distance to many stores/restaurants. Frankie was easy to reach with any questions/concerns and very responsive. Would rent again.

Perfectly Placed on Plum Island

We had the best week on Plum Island, with this gorgeous condo as our home base. It was beautifully styled, well stocked, comfortable, immaculately clean - and you just can't beat having the beach as your backyard. The owners were wonderful to work with and easy to reach if we had any questions. We loved spending our days on the water and walking to Cottage Creamery for ice cream every night. Would highly recommend this little bit of paradise on Plum Island, and we hope to be back soon!

Long- term stay

Frankie and Noah have created a charming and cozy space. We felt relaxed and at home from the minute we arrived. Kitchen was well stocked with all the items you need. I would like a few extra bathroom towels and hand towels.

Lovely, clean apartment with semiprivate beach

Our family loved having a bit of semi-private beach to base ourselves while playing in the ocean. This summer it's all about maintaining physical distance and we were able to do that well. The apartment is exactly as described in the listing. Very clean, neatly kept, and well appointed. The owners are very responsive. And the location can't be beat.

Sparkling Clean, Wonderful Host

I can’t say enough good things about our hosts, Frankie and Noah! They were super responsive and helpful throughout the entire booking process and stay. The place itself is amazing- newly renovated, perfectly clean, and with extremely soft sheets and towels- you’d think you’re in a 5 star hotel! The unit is exactly as pictured and shares a private beach with the unit upstairs. It was perfect for my husband and I and a couple of friends (having two parking spaces was extra convenient)! Absolutely hope to return and stay again as soon as possible.
