Historic Townhome and Carriage House w/Garage. Steps to Forsyth Park! Sleeps 12.

Built in 1882 and conveniently located on East Gaston Street in the historic district, this stately home is steps to Forsyth Park and within easy walking distance of restaurants, squares, museums, shopping, and a 20-minute walk to the famous Riverfront. The property includes the main 4-bedroom house, (the upper three levels of the townhome), and a 1-bedroom carriage house, each with a private entrance and shared access to the rear courtyard. This spacious home has been beautifully restored, maintaining many original features, yet updated with modern conveniences. This home is ideal for wedding parties, girls' weekends, large groups, and family gatherings! Sleeps 12 total.

The main house features high ceilings, fireplaces in each bedroom (non-functioning), original floors and woodwork, antique furnishings, and other period decor. On the main level is the living room, formal dining room, fully-stocked kitchen with stainless appliances and granite countertops, a breakfast room, and a half bath. The second level has two bedrooms (one with a king bed and one with a queen), a bonus room (with twin daybed and twin trundle), an office space, and a full bathroom with a jacuzzi tub and separate shower. The top level has two additional bedrooms (one with a king bed and one with a queen) and a full bathroom with an antique claw-foot tub/shower.
A balcony off the breakfast room on the main level overlooks a lovely courtyard below, and a full-size washer and dryer are located in the hallway on the upper level for guest use. The house has high-speed Internet and TVs in each bedroom for streaming. The living room TV also has cable. Note that there are several staircases and no elevator. Please supervise young children.

The Carriage House sleeps 2 and is located directly behind the main house, separated by the courtyard. It features a one-bedroom apartment above a one-car garage. The apartment has a cozy living room with two comfy armchairs and a kitchenette, a bedroom with a queen-size bed, and a small bathroom with a tiled shower. A front porch with seating overlooks the courtyard and is an excellent spot for relaxing after a day of touring historic Savannah.

Hockey Tournament Weekend with Extended Family for

The home was spacious and beautifully decorated, providing plenty of room for everyone to relax and enjoy. We loved the open-concept living area, which made it easy for us to gather together for meals and spend quality time. We recommend bringing items like aluminum foil, seasoning, and serving utensils if you plan on cooking.The location was great, with nearby attractions that catered to both adults and kids, adding to the overall experience. There were a ton of restaurants in walking distance and it was nice that parking was free on the weekends and after 5:00 on weekdays. Our host was incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. They provided clear instructions for everything and even reached out to check if we needed anything.Overall, our family had a wonderful time, and we would highly recommend this rental to anyone looking for a great getaway. We hope to return in the future!

Family Reunion

Our group of 8 adult cousins, uncles, and spouses truly enjoyed gathering at this gorgeous home from all over US. The hosts were extremely welcoming and communicative. We were able to be very close to view the St. Patrick’s Parade, enjoy Forsyth Park, and walk to the downtown attractions. Having family breakfast was wonderful at the large dinning table.

Beautiful historic home in the center of downtown Savannah!

Our family had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday at this beautiful home. All ages (3-71) had a great time! The house was clean, full of all the essentials we could need, and the hosts were so kind and responsive to all our questions. Steps from Forsyth park, a playground, and the many wonderful sites of Savannah! We highly recommend staying here!

Beautiful home

I really enjoyed my stay at this beautiful home in an awesome location. My only complaints are the limited number of towels (I think there should've been at least 2 for each guest...just my opinion) and there should be more trash bags provided, especially with a cleaning fee of over $400 (we had 1 trash bag for our 3 day stay). Otherwise, the owners were very responsive and we're so thankful to have found this home last minute after a previous VRBO owner canceled on us.

Multi Generational Trip to Savannah

The house was perfect for our stay with 9 guests ranging in age from 1- 79. The location was convient to attractions and a grocery store. Just a block from Forsyth Park, the neighborhood is very walkable. We received timely and accurate communication from Jessica. We would stay here again.

Reunion

My family and I stayed at this property and it was a great space to stay 5 days. Half a block from the park, several blocks from shops and restaurants. I used the carriage house to seclude my little one to keep her on a sleep schedule, it also allowed the family to socialize without disturbing her. The courtyard was also a great space to have conversations about anything and everything. Highly recommend.

Reunion of Sorority Sisters

this home was perfect for our reunion. We are a group of 70 year old sorority sisters. The home is beautiful and in a great location, particularly for walking. We were able to walk around Forsyth Park and the SCAD Sidewalk Art Festival was going on during the stay. The large living room was perfect for sitting around and visiting, which we loved! A Memorable Family Christmas

The property worked well for our extended family of 10. When we first walked in and saw the Christmas tree, we knew we'd made a good choice. We appreciated having bedrooms & beds for everyone and a dining table large enough for us to sit together for meals. The location is perfect. We enjoyed being able to walk to so many of the places we wanted to see/explore/eat at. We all enjoyed the Saturday farmer's market in Forsythe Park and the restaurant there on another day. The free DOT busses were only a block or two away, making it easy to visit the waterfront with its many shops and restaurants. Even a grocery store was only a short walk away. Savannah is a beautiful city and the hosts were responsive to our needs. Thank you for a memorable, family Christmas.

Perfect spot for a large crew

We had our wedding in Savannah in October and this is where I housed my side of the family. The house was beautiful and had all of the space we needed. And it was awesome to have the carriage house room all to myself for some peace and quiet between festivities. Jessica was so responsive and kind with all of my questions. Can't wait to come back again! And the location was incredible for quiet walks in the beautiful Forsyth Park.

We live in the Charleston, SC area and visit Savannah often. We love the downtown area, with its beautiful parks and squares, huge live oaks, gorgeous houses and architecture, shopping, and restaurants. We especially love walking through Forsyth Park on a Saturday morning to check out the market and vendors. When our daughter decided to attend Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), we decided to purchase an investment property in the area that we could also use as our vacation home when we came to visit. We have over 6 years of hosting experience and are happy to share this beautiful and unique Savannah property with our guests.
