Bayview Villa – Excellent views of the Kalamazoo River

Walking distance to downtown Douglas, this newly renovated 3-bedroom condo is the perfect launching pad for your vacation plans. Main floor with open space features a living/dining room with flat screen TV. Well equipped kitchen is perfect for preparing your favorite dish and sliders to private deck with gas grill make cookouts a breeze! Second level offers 3 roomy bedrooms. Primary bedroom has king bed, flat screen TV, large walk in shower. Additional bedroom with queen bed and second bedroom with a full size and twin sized bed - both have flat screens and share an additional full bath. There is plenty of parking for you and your guests.

Downtown Douglas is less than a three minute walk and offers a perfect variety of dining, shopping, coffee and cocktails. Rent kayaks and paddleboards to take advantage of the nearby Kalamazoo River or take to the kiddos to the playground two blocks from the condo. Watch incredible sunsets on recently built beautiful outlooks at Douglas Beach (only five minutes by car or a 1.7 mile walk on the paved paths) and the legendary Oval Beach is 2 miles. Both are close to the iconic Root Beer Barrel restaurant or Woosah Coffee shop where you can shop, dine or rent bikes and beach equipment.

Conveniently located less than a mile from Downtown Saugatuck, it is an easy 20 minute walk or hop on the Interurban Bus for $1 per person to avoid parking hassles. This popular vacation town has been an artist’s enclave for decades and you will enjoy the creative influence seen in the shops and restaurants lining the streets and waterfront. Spend time on the river enjoying your favorite beverage and watch the boats as they travel to and from the big lake or take advantage of local rentals and plan your own sightseeing tour. Fennville wineries and orchards are also close by - less than 10 minutes by car. Ivy House, a popular event venue, is only three minutes from this condo.

Rosemont Hospitality Partners host this property – operators of the historic Rosemont Inn. Guests enjoy complimentary parking at the Inn which is located directly across from the Douglas Beach with plenty of sand to build sandcastles, swim or take a walk to Oval Beach. We provide professionally laundered linens, bath and beach towels as well as a starter supply of paper and cleaning products and after-hours maintenance service. In unit washer and dryer are conveniently located on the second floor next to the bedrooms.

Girls getaway

Super clean, super easy check in and out process. We enjoyed sitting on the deck with our coffee and walking to dinner (definitely Borrowed Thyme is a MUST!). Appreciated the extra towels (it’s the little things!!)

Family get away

Gray home for a family get away! Very well appointed and the host response time is amazing! Would definitely stay here again…Douglas is the best kept secret…close to Saugatuck and no crowds!

July 4th weekend

Visited Douglas/Saugatuck for the long weekend. The property was the perfect spot. It was close to downtown Saugatuck and the Dunes Resort.

Weekend getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your townhouse this weekend. It was beautiful accommodations. Only thing we wish was different was we couldnt figure how to work TV's but was most likely "operator" isses...LOL..as they were smart TV's n we are not that computer literate. Highly recommend this VRBO accommodations!

Perfect Vacation Home

The home is updated, beautiful and cozy! All needed amenities were available and nice, down to the brand of soap! The location is perfect, just two blocks from downtown Douglas, right by the main road to get to downtown Saugatuck and a short walk or drive to the beaches. Would absolutely stay here again!!

Friends Weekend

The townhouse was clean, bright, and spacious with comfortable living room furniture. It was just 2 blocks from downtown Douglas, so a great location for walking to a restaurant or a great little coffee shop.

Overall a nice place to stay. Would like to have curtains on the sliding door. Very sunny and warm without. Very clean and had everything we needed for a relaxing trip.

Perfect place and location

This condo was a great location for a work trip to Holland. It is located in a beautiful little town, next to a quaint bayou. I was able to attend our training and enjoy some of the nature that the Douglas area has to offer. Close to coffee, restaurants, parks and water. The hospitality team was easily accessible, kind and helpful. Thanks for an enjoyable week!

Clean and Comfy; Well Equipped

This property includes full size bunk beds, a queen and a king which makes it a good property for adult friends. It was well equipped with paper products, soaps, and kitchen equipment. It could use a set of barbeque tools but that's the only hiccup we had.

Excellent Condo!

I was very happy with the entire process of booking this property. Communication from the owners was outstanding from the start. Questions were answered immediately and we were very confident going in. The property itself was perfectly located for an easy walk to downtown Saugatuck as well as Douglas. The house was spotless, and really well set up and located in a beautiful area close to the water with amazing gardens. Everything worked well and we were able to secure a much appreciated early check in. Simply outstanding and we will most certainly book again for future stays in the area!

Most amazing host, quiet neighborhood

I have stayed at a lot of VRBO homes and I have to say this host was the most delightful to work with. The communication was superb, I really can't rave enough about Jack. The home is beautiful and easy to access in a quiet neighborhood. The home was clean and a good size. Laundry and dryer worked well and so did the fridge and dishwasher. The only thing I will mention is the top bunk in the bunk bed room is probably not suitable for most younger kids. There isn't a high enough railing, as the mattress is pretty high, so it would be easy to roll off if your kid is a restless sleeper. My teen daughter said the bed she used was the most comfy bed she has ever slept on. I felt the same way about the master bed. If we return to the area, I won't even bother looking at other homes. Thank you for all of your help, Jack!

We look forward to returning!

My husband and I stayed here with another couple to get away for a weekend and we were more than pleasantly surprised when we arrived. My husband and I were new to Vrbo (and other similar sites) but the other couple in our party has stayed in hundreds (30+ in the last 6 months alone) and they said it was the nicest rental they have ever stayed in and they are very picky. For them, cleanliness is the #1 priority so even before bringing in the luggage they checked the sheets, the towels, the bathrooms, the kitchen, the living room, corners, and window sills because no one wants to share their rental with a bunch of insects (alive or dead) or feel as though the place wasn't cleaned between renters- especially sheets and towels- yuck! This home met and exceeded their expectations for cleanliness! In addition to cleanliness, safety is important and we all felt very safe in the home and in the area. The home was easy to find, easy to access, there was ample parking, it was in a great location- you can see the water from the house and you can walk to downtown Douglas and be there in a couple of minutes. It was beautiful, very comfortable, exceptionally clean and the sheets were very soft! I saw the other review about the internet and it was sufficient for us and we had 4 devices running during our stay. Jack was a gracious host, very responsive and welcoming. I would love to stay here again sometime! The little extras he provides saved us a lot of room when packing- toiletries, beach towels, laundry detergent pods, trash bags, zip lock bags, chip clips, etc. I can only think of 2 things to enhance a future stay. 1) Baby Gates. We have small children (that did not come with us) but if/when we come back, we would likely ask Jack if he has baby gates for the top and bottom of the stairs (since the bedrooms are all upstairs) to accommodate those traveling with children. Perhaps he does and puts those out for families, but did not for us since he knew the 4 renters were all adults. 2) Instructions on what to do with recycling or perhaps a second bin in the kitchen for recycling. We didn't want to throw recycling in the trash and weren't sure what to do with it. The 2 enhancements are just that because as far as we were concerned there were no cons to the stay, only pros! We had a great experience and Jack was a great host!

Cozy condo; great location

We stayed here while visiting family and friends around Christmas. The location was perfect; close enough to both Holland and Glenn. We enjoyed discovering the trail to the "Crow's Nest" a short drive (~ a mile) away.

Nice Condo in Douglas

The property was well kept and clean. Check in process was easy and property owner was responsive to questions/concerns. Location was within walking distance to downtown Douglas and 5 min drive to downtown Saugatuck. Would recommend staying here for a quiet family getaway.

Long weekend in Douglas

We had a wonderful time in Douglas / Saugatuck. The condo was in a great location: just a couple of blocks from shops and restaurants in Douglas and a little over a mile from Saugatuck. It is also just a mile from Douglas Beach. The condo was very spacious. We felt like we had enough room for 6 adults. The beds were comfortable and it seemed like the linens were new. Everything was clean when we arrived. Communication before we arrived was excellent. We didn’t have any issues during our stay so we didn’t need to contact anyone during our time in the condo. We will book again!

Walking distance to Douglas

We had 4 adults and a 5 year old staying here for 4 nights. The townhouse was clean and had just about everything we needed (even beach towels). It is an easy walk to Douglas and a couple of us walked to Saugatuck (best to do this since parking there is just about impossible Thursday- Saturday). Jack was quick to respond and check in was a breeze. The townhouse is in need of some repairs, but nothing that negatively impacted our stay. One thing to note for new visitors- Douglas does not have a ton of kid friendly restaurants. Obviously that could be a plus for some and a negative for others.
