A coastal paradise awaits at this grand Edisto Island home at Wyndham's Ocean Ridge resort! The perfect choice for friends and family, this sprawling, four-bedroom retreat comes ready for hosting group gatherings with two floors of well-appointed interior and multiple outdoor living areas. A spacious, grassy lawn offers water frontage overlooking a neighborhood lake. As an added perk, guests will enjoy complimentary access to a suite of resort amenities, including three pools - one with a tropical bar-, gym, tennis courts, pickleball, playground, mini golf, and access to the Wyndham beach cabana, which includes restrooms and umbrella and beach chair rentals. Golfers in the group will enjoy virtually on-site access to the beautiful Plantation Course at Edisto, just across the property. The beach and local dining options are just a stroll or bike ride away.

Enjoy fireside conversation and family game nights in the living room or retreat to the study for some quiet reading. The screened deck welcomes morning coffee and happy hour entertainment. The well-appointed kitchen boasts a full suite of stainless steel appliances, including a dishwasher, with a pass-through window connecting a four-seater breakfast bar and an adjacent dining nook. Sit-down meals can be enjoyed in the dining room. Kids will love the upstairs, complete with a smart TV and sofa seating, an en suite bathroom, and a private sundeck.

The ground-floor patio offers even more opportunities for family fun with a gas grill, Ping-Pong, various lawn games and beach toys, and a dedicated children's play area with a chalkboard, painting, and coloring tools. There's also a screened porch and outdoor shower for rinsing off saltwater after trips to the beach.

THINGS TO KNOW
This vacation rental is located inside of the Wyndham Ocean Ridge Resort. Boats, trailers, motorcycles, mopeds, campers, RV's, and golf carts are not allowed inside of the resort.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 5 vehicles.



Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Great home!

Enjoyed our stay with our family of 10. Back porch was popular hang out and the inside sunroom was nice to get away from TV for some quiet or conversation time. Grandkids enjoyed all of the games and activities on the ground level. When we arrived the main A/C unit was not cooling properly but the local staff came through with window units to cool the house until repairs could be made the following morning. Grandkids have already said that they want to return to this same house next year.

The house and location were perfect!! But plan on bringing ALL of your own paper products, towels, dish soap, ect!!! We had to purchase EVERYTHING for our week long vacation!! Should not happen at this price point!!

Peaceful and Beautiful home.

The view of the pond behind the house and everything about the neighborhood/resort area was amazing. House had lots of games and things to do already available. Having access to the pool and gym area were also much appreciated. If you are looking for a nice quiet place to unwind this place was very nice.

Amazing Beach House

Beautiful, clean, spacious beach house. We loved the kids space upstairs and the family fun outdoor area on the bottom floor - the kids loved the art area! The master suite was amazing. There was so much space - we were able to spread out in this house. It was perfect for our family of 9! Highly recommended.

Perfect Spot

I got married on Edisto and used this house as sleeping quarters for my bridal party and for me to get ready. The main bedroom and bathroom made for a perfect bridal suite! The kitchen was perfectly stocked, and the space was great for a group... I'd love to come back!

loved Sto-Away! spotless home with thoughtful amenities - enjoyed looking for sharks teeth at the state park (with the pass provided) Took advantage of the Ocean Ridge pool and club activities (tie-dye!) plenty of space for multi-generations to gather- great kitchen and large table perfect for celebrating!! The blackstone griddle was also put to good use!

Perfect for a family get-together!

Our family of five met my parents here for a mini-vacation and it was perfect! Our kids (6, 8, and 11) loved the bunk room and all the games. The home was spotless on arrival, the views from the back deck were gorgeous, and the kitchen was well equipped for cooking. This was our first time on Edisto and we enjoyed exploring the state park, playing at the beach, fishing in the marsh, and watching the osprey nesting in a tree near the house. The bed in the primary bedroom was a bit soft, but our only other complaint was that our trip wasn’t longer!

We, a group of nine international students and their American "houseparents", spent a long weekend at Sto-away. The house was beautiful, spacious, and very clean! The owners thought of many details and were gracious in providing books, games, puzzles, recipes, music and more for our enjoyment. "Sto-away" was a great experience for these international students!

The weather was terrible but the house was big enough we all spread out and used the downstairs space a lot. We had no power for 24 hrs and the black stone came in handy but really needed to be cleaned. We love edisto and this house was the best yet but a little update would go a long way to making sleeping more comfortable for everyone.

Beautiful Getaway Haven

Two families gathered at this lovely home because it was the mid-point from Virginia and Florida. From the moment we arrived, we were all in awe with the cleanliness and space of this beautiful home. The children had their own little escape in the top floor which featured several beds, a large tv and comfortable sofas. Each room was spacious and had its own bathroom. The house came fully equipped, all we needed to buy was food and drinks. This was truly a wonderful getaway. A beautiful and large home, a quaint island and a great opportunity to make lasting memories. We hope to revisit again. I would definitely recommend this home to others looking for a wonderful escape.

Loved This Area South of Phoenix - Wonderful 2 Bedroom Unit With Adequate Kitchenette!

This was a lovely property in an agricultural area outside of Mariposa so a good hour from Phoenix. Really nice to be away from the city. The 2 bedroom, split bathroom, kitchenette & outdoor patio were perfect for my husband & I and 2 daughters. The guest laundry was just a few steps away from our outdoor bedroom door (bedrooms had 2 doors) with rolling hampers in the bathroom & bedrooms- also large walk in closets so very handy for keeping laundry & luggage out of the way. Plenty to work with in the kitchen to cook well. No ceramic plates or cutting board so if you plan to do your own cooking then keep in mind there are plenty of grills, burners, electric skillets, but no oven & remember to pack of few of your own favorite things that you might want. Hosts were friendly and readily available to provide anything needed & even took us to pick some citrus fruits in the neighborhood to take home! Great stay...

Great house and location, not so great management company

This house was very nice. Large rooms, great kitchen, everything in working order. The only thing we did not like was the management company, Vacasa. Things started off with needing to get the key from the Vacasa building directly instead of having a lockbox at the house. I cannot remember the last time I needed to get a key for a rental from another location. Once we went and picked up the key I punched in the address of the house in my phone but was routed to a gate that was for "owners only". No one at the management company told us about that when grabbing the key. I ended up calling to figure out how to get in and they told me they provided a map in the envelope with the key to the main gate. That would have been great to know before leaving the office. I was not even planning to open the envelope with the key before I got to the house. Also, they provide little to no information on where the amenities for the community are located. We had to ask multiple staff around the gated community to find locations of pools, etc. and how to access them. Finally, when trying to access the pool with the key card given to us by the rental office it did not work. I had to track down another member of the property staff to try to get the card fixed. Before leaving on vacation, we had a few basic questions that we emailed to the rental company. They never returned our email. The only time they contacted us was for the second payment for the rental. All this wasted precious time with my family. I suggest staying away from the Vacasa rental company if you can.

Awesome house and location

The house was beautiful and very clean. So many special “touches” made it feel comfortable, especially the sun room. I wished we could have stayed longer to enjoy all the fun things to do in the house. The location was perfect. We walked to the beach and several restaurants. I will definitely be booking this house again.

Great beach house

My family and I enjoyed our visit to Stoaway! The house was the perfect size for our family. The laundry room with the extra fridge was a nice surprise. And the kiddos loved the activities under the house. It’s a short drive to the beach and we enjoyed having access to the beach cabana…another bonus.

Property company is the worse.

Wifi password was never provided. Property company should give address at the top and direct people to the office not way at the bottom, never told what or if we needed to return the keys to office and what we had to at the house before leaving. There are fire ants piles in the yard. Extra dish towels should be provided. No paint supplies were provided like the description said.

Great Place!

We had a great time staying at the Sto-Away! The house was very comfortable and beautifully decorated. There was a ton of room and they even had some fun games for us to play in the carport.
