Live life on lake time when you book this 2-bedroom, 1.5-bathroom vacation rental house in the peaceful town of Oxford. Your family will love relaxing by the firepit and roasting marshmallows, sitting by the wood burning fireplace, or taking out the boat, paddleboards, or kayaks on beautiful Lawrence Lake. Additionally, you will be minutes from charming restaurants and parks, ensuring you will never be bored during your stay! Fish, swim, and relax all from the comfort of our beautiful property.

KITCHEN: Fully equipped, Drip coffee makers, tea kettle, toaster, dishware/flatware

LAKE DAYS: Lawrence Lake is a 224 acre lake located in Marquette County. Crystal clear water, great fishing and swimming, and easy access from your own private dock. PLEASE NOTE DOCKS ARE REMOVED THE FINAL WEEK OF OCTOBER.

EXPLORE NATURE: Oxford Village Park, Summerton Bog State Natural Area all within 15 minutes

GOLFING: Thal Acres within 15 minutes

LOCAL HOT SPOTS: Thirsty Beaver (burgers / pub food), Village Inn (supper club / great fish fry), Mikey’s Sportsmen’s Tavern (supper club / great fish fry), Redneck Saloon (pub food), Wooden Nickel Bar & Grill, Crystal’s Wood Lake Supper Club (fine dining), The Cabin Bar & Grill, The Ox Bar and Grill.

We had a wonderful time at this cottage! My teen daughter especially loved the reclining lawn chairs, my teen son loved the fishing (we brought our own fishing boat. They caught bluegills, bass, pike, and perch), our dog loved the freedom of running around and jumping in the lake (the privacy fence between the public boat launch and cottage was great) and my husband and I loved the peace and quiet and ability to disconnect from our normal lives and reconnect as a family. We never turned on the TVs, we just enjoyed being outside all day and sitting around the fire at night. The house had everything we needed and then some! We had dinner out one night at Thirsty Beaver (we went solely based on the name, ha! Good bar food!) and dinner one night at Crystal's Wood Lake Supper Club (good food and we were STUFFED!) I've already recommended the cottage to a friend!
We spent a lot of time relaxing in these chair on the concrete slab by the water
Our pup had the time of her life!
So quiet and peaceful!

Absolutely beautiful property! A gorgeous view of the lake. We took out the row boat and did some swimming off the pier and enjoyed a fire by the lake. There was a lot of wildlife to admire!

Very nice place on a quiet lake. Easy to get to from the Chicago area. We enjoyed the use of the rowboat for fishing and saw a wide variety of animals on and around the lake. Thank you for the accommodations!

Little getaway

Very Nice clean home, I bring pillows and blankets to every places I stay. This home there was no need, was pleasantly surprised at extra blankets pillows and comfort. We enjoyed the games did not use Kayak or row boat but so nice they supply them. Would stay again.

Amazing time

It was a great stay. Right next to the boat launch, so renting a pontoon was a breeze. The fishing was great the first night after the storm. It is verrrrry quite on the lake, it's perfect. The last night was a bummer due to the lightning, but had plenty to do inside. Soo much space, this is perfect for a group or 4 or 5. Really spacious. Nail and groceries are only about 10-12 minutes away. We would love to come back next year.

Fabulous lake house

We had a wonderful family stay at this lovely lake house! The home was cozy and well-stocked with games and coloring supplies that kept the kids entertained for hours. The lake was absolutely gorgeous, and we loved spending some tome out on the water with the kayak and stand-up paddleboards. A peaceful and fun getaway for the whole family!

Perfect get away!!

A great lake cottage for a weekend getaway. Had everything we needed to relax. Very clean and owners very responsive. Location is prime for winter and summer lake activities! Will definitely Look to rent this location again!

Anniversary Get Away

This Lakehouse was just as described. Very clean and steps away from the beautiful lake. We had a great time! Bonfires by the lake was a double treat! Will be spending more time there. Host was very responsive and helpful!

Quiet lake house

Beautiful lake house with a great view to see the leaves change color. It was so peaceful and quiet. Perfect relaxing in nature. A lot of bluegill and some bass. Fishing pole stayed busy.

Pretty Outstanding!

This property is super cute and clean. The lake is beautiful! We caught several bass and several northerns bit our lines off. Lol. Saw eagles, heron, blue jays, deer, turtles, and more! My only word of caution is to bring bath soap and shampoo. Otherwise, perfect!

Our Fall Adventure

We loved our stay at this lakefront cottage! The cottage was very clean, had great cabin decor and very well equipped with anything you might possibly need. The kitchen had everything we needed!! Enjoyed the kayak and row boat and caught a couple bass and a northern pike right off the dock! Loved everything about it!

We are the Opahles - Greg, Stacie, Sawyer, Maddy and Murph! It has always been a dream of ours to own a lake house which can be shared with others. We find so much peace and relaxation at our lake house and truly hope those that visit share the same way!

We've put a lot of thought into the items we provide so that families can come with only the necessities and not have to worry about bringing too much along! We even have a pack n play, highchair, and toddler serving ware available for ease! Besides the amenities we provide on the property, the views and lake access can't be beat! We chose Lawrence Lake because it is a "quieter" lake - you will not have jet-skis or water-skiers shooting past on your swim out to the floating swim dock. There is an island surrounded by sand bars to the east of our property which we highly recommend taking a kayak or paddleboard over to explore! Fishing on this lake is PRIME - both for summer and winter! Make sure you bring some marshmallows for roasting over the bonfire and for those chilly winter nights, make use of the natural wood burning fireplace indoors. If you can't sneak away from work for your whole stay, feel comfortable using our workstation (complete with USB ports and outlets) while connecting to the fiber wireless internet.
