We cannot say enough great things about this home. The layout was incredibly spacious and perfect for my wife’s parents, my wife and me, and our kids. We never felt on top of each other and had plenty of room to relax and spend time together. The property itself is beautiful and very well maintained honestly, the photos don’t do it justice.The location is ideal: centrally located between Hendersonville and Brevard, both of which offer a great variety of restaurants and activities, and less than 30 minutes from Asheville. Each morning we enjoyed watching deer on the property, and we even spotted a few white squirrels.My wife and I stay in VRBO properties several times a year, and this is by far the most well-equipped home we’ve ever stayed in. Truly anything and everything you might need is provided. We loved having slow mornings and cooking breakfast in the fully stocked kitchen—and were pleasantly surprised to find a pizza pan and pizza cutter when we decided to make pizza. They really have thought of everything. Having a washer and dryer was another huge perk, especially after getting soaked while snow tubing—it was so nice to wash everything right away.One other thing worth mentioning is the access to the home. The driveway is a bit steep but very manageable, and there are no twisty, sketchy mountain roads to get there. This was important to us when booking, especially with icy conditions.Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would absolutely recommend it to anyone.

Very well equipped kitchen, much better than I actually expected: the owners provided us with cold water bottles in the fridge, condiments. Soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion in the bathrooms. Great location also. Very close to the national parks and the near by town, yet private. Very clean house and in good condition, nothing broken. I would stay there again and would recommend it to others.

The house was amazing. The location was ideal for us as it was an amazing space for kids and adults. The kids got to explore the property. The house itself was very clean and suited our needs.

Perfect

This house is truly great. For starters the property is incredible. Beautiful! But it is not at the top of the mountain so there is no harrowing drive up or 20 min to just get down to the road. It is very convenient to Brevard and Hendersonville as well as Dupont and Pisgah forests. Kylie was prompt in her responses and she has thought of everything. Soaps, cleaners, shampoos, coffee, paper products, etc. The bed and linens were comfortable as well as the towels. If feels as though you are staying the house of a friend or family member, not a rental. The views were incredible from those big windows in the kitchen. As a family of 6 it can be hard to find a house where everyone has their own bed and we even had a spare. The bedrooms are all close together and away from the living areas/kitchen which is so convenient with little kids. My only complaint is that the weather was so nice and area has so much to do that we didn't spend enough time in the house.

This house was exceptional clean. The kitchen was well stocked. The manager was very responsive. Fabulous location for hiking.

Great spot! Gorgeous morning views.

We were in town for a wedding and this spot was the perfect place for a small group of us to stay. It was easy to find, accomodated parking for several cars, near a grocery store and the backyard overlooked a gorgeous foothill. We had coffee on the porch and it was so peaceful. The house was clean and updated and the beds were comfortable. If I find myself in Mills River again, I would definitely stay here.

Beautiful, Clean, Convenient

Our group had a great stay. Two families with children. The place was spacious and well equipped. Clean and convenient to Hendersonville, hikes, breweries and so many other activities. Highly recommend if you’re looking to have a place to make dinner and hang out at night after exploring the area during the day. The grill was a big plus, as was the amazing kitchen. Would stay here again!

Secluded Homebase

We enjoyed our New Years stay. This host really thought through everything including the simple decor, the furniture, and the amenities. The house was very clean and was easy to maintain with such a large group including messy toddlers. We appreciated that the host had extra linens, laundry, cleaning supplies, including a vacuum (probably our most used amenity). We enjoyed the large bath tub, the fire place, fire pit, and grill during our stay. We loved that everyone could sit at the table together for our meals and we played several card games. We appreciate that the host supplied a regular coffee pot as five adults would go through a ton of K-cups. This was one of the best home rentals that we have stayed at and would recommend.

I loved the house and how open it was. My friends and I made some amazing memories. The house was clean and I lot bigger than I expected. The owner really keeps everything stocked and provides so many necessities that most places don’t have. Totally recommend staying here!

Perfect for People who Appreciate Nature

Our ladies kayaking and hiking group stayed here for several days when kayaking the French Broad River from Horse Shoe Bend River Access to Westfeldt Park. It's honestly one of the best places we've rented and certainly one of the cleanest and best supplied ones. There is ample parking that made it easy to navigate kayak trailers and unload our supplies. The mountain sunsets and night sky were special treats as the embers died out in the firepit. In the morning we watched wild turkeys and deer as we drank our morning coffee. We're thinking of organizing another outing in the area and returning. I rated the check in process 4 stars only because there are two locks and I assumed incorrectly we could enter from the lower level - my mistake. ( If you have a large group, our 2 assigned to the futon sofas found them a bit uncomfortable. Perhaps a mattress pad for them would solve the problem or maybe we simply didn't see the pads.)

Highly recommended

Beautiful recently renovated property. Fantastic views! House is clean and immaculate. Communication with the owner was great ; the slight issue we ran into ( a bed that we broke on accident) was immediately rectified and fixed promptly. Even left us a bottle of wine for our trouble! Location is fantastic, 15 min from Sierra Nevada Brewery and 20 min from Looking glass falls. We will definitely be back!
