My wife and I spent a beautiful week at this cottage in North Truro in mid-September 2013. We are pushing 70, actually galloping towards it, and we always travel independently. The weather was marvelous, all blue sky and warm temperatures for seven days. My wife was enrolled in an art course in nearby Truro, and I am a walker who found ample opportunities to engage in walkabout. The cottage sits on the bay side, connected to the bay beach by a sand path of about a hundred yards length through the dunes. From the cottage’s back deck we could watch the great expanse of bay unfold into Provincetown. Most days I walked along the beach into town, last leg on Commercial Street. Of course the National Seashore also offers many beach opportunities for walking and swimming on the ocean side; most of these beaches were no more than a ten minute drive away.
We thought the cottage, a bit of the “old Cape,” was excellent. The Cottage offers two bedrooms (sleeps four), a good bath (shower only), comfortable living room, plenty of blankets, space heaters, and a fully equipped kitchen, including stove, microwave, coffee maker, plenty of pots and dishes, and a washer/dryer. Internet service and cable tv were excellent. Also, the area around the cottage was very quiet -- we never heard a sound at night. We particularly enjoyed sitting on the back deck with coffee in the morning and on the evening. Arrangements with the owner were straight forward, friendly, professional, and we could not have enjoyed our stay more.
