This brand new home is a great place to gather. The floor plan lends itself to three distinct sleeping areas giving everyone privacy and their own space. Lower level bedroom has two sets of bunk beds next to a bathroom and sitting area with TV. The upstairs has a master suite that has a queen size bed ( in the sunken bedroom), bath with two sinks and shower, and a walk in closet. A spacious open area at the top ot the stairs opens onto a small balcony. Off of this area there is a full bath, a bedroom with a queen bed, and a bedroom with twin beds. The main floor has the sitting/dinning area, kitchen, and half bath.
The owner was quick to respond to any questions we had when looking into this property and made us feel at home there.
We loved being able to park our bikes in the garage while parking the two cars off street on the parking pad.
It was fun to walk or bike to most places we wanted to go avoiding the problem of parking a car. We biked to the beach, to Duncan Wood, to Mulligan's Hollow, and around Spring Lake. It was a short walk downtown to the board walk and musical fountain. One evening, a huge coal ship entertained us moving up the river.
Michigan Adventure was a 45 minute drive north. Grand Rapids Airport was about and hour away which was handy for flying in our Maine group.
Our group was made up of two 60-somethings, their daughter, her husband and two children ( 5 yr and 4 yr),and their son and his wife.
We all agree this was the perfect way to have a family vacation with various ages and activities and that this was the perfect house for us.
We will always remember this vacation as the perfect way to celebrate our 40th Anniversary.
