The TipSea Turtle Retreat is a completely remodeled 1930's pool home with elements of eclectic character. Location Location Location!!
Park your car once you arrive to TTR and you won't need it until you have to leave the island. We have a rear gate access to plaza shops, restaurants and grocery store steps away. Walk to the beach, restaurants, shops, library, park, tennis courts, Indian River Lagoon, amazing sunsets, fishing pier, bait shop, surf shop, historic landmarks and much more all with in 3 blocks. Locals refer to this area as the "Golden Triangle" because it is the only neighborhood you do not have to cross A1A to get to the beach:) You are about 300ft to the beach, turtles and surf! The home was designed for vacationers in mind with 4 of the bedrooms having their own brand new on-suite bathrooms. We also have our own pool with plenty of outdoor lounge space to enjoy the beachside atmosphere. Stroll to the beach with your morning coffee to watch the spectacular Atlantic Ocean sunrises and waves crashing or in the evening stroll to the river to watch the beautiful sunsets! The variety of walkable restaurants are incredible, from casual ocean front dining at Sands on the Beach and 302’s to more sophisticated, Dijon's Steak and Lobster House with a fabulous piano bar. We are excited to share this home with you to enjoy the peaceful small beach town atmosphere at your doorstep! No pets allowed for this property. We do have an option to heat the spa tub attached to the pool, $35 per day

Best Space Coast Location

We had a wonderful family vacation and got to see a launch right from the beach. We are from Cape Cod so enjoyed the ocean and the pool even though that may be too cold for some in December. The Melbourne Beach Market right within walking distance was a plus as we never really had to drive anywhere. We did visit the zoo and space center as well as andretti thrill park. All a hit with the grandkids. Hosts were great and we will definitely stay here if we decide to return to the area.

Cousins week

This older remodeled vacation rental was perfect for our party of five. The location can’t be beat. We loved being able to walk to restaurants and stores yet such a close walk to the beach. The outside area was my favorite. If you were looking to stay in this Melbourne Beach, this rental is the best!

Great stay

Perfect house for 7 adults and 2 young children. Spacious enough for everyone to have their own room and bathroom. Golf cart rental was a definite plus four a group our size. Easily walkable to beach even without cart. Would stay again. Great communication with host. Very amicable to a late check out. You won’t be disappointed if you stay here

It was really good, plenty of room and everything furnished you could possibly need. Walk down street to beach is short about 100 yds down very low traffic road. Beach area was practically deserted and this was week before the 4th. Already talking about going back next year.

Wonderful family time!

Wonderful bonding time with kids and grandkids! The pool was the star of the vacation. Cape Canaveral was also a hit! Dean was very responsive to our questions.

Family get away

The Tipsea Turtle Retreat was awesome! It had everything you needed for a beach trip vacation right down to chairs and umbrellas. The pool made it nice to relax in after the beach. The house was fully stocked with everything you could imagine needing. It was spacious, clean and comfortable. It was just steps away from the beach and with the golf cart it made it easy to get around. The beachside market was filled with unique food and items. I would definitely recommend staying there.

Spring Training Getaway Base

The property was a great home base to stay at for our families as we came down to enjoy spring break and watch our boys play baseball. Had everything we could need. Clean, lots of spaces to congregate or get away for some privacy both in and outdoors. Stores and restaurants within steps out the back door and the beach within a block out the front. Thanks for everything.

50th Wedding Anniversary

It is clear that the owners of TipSea Turtle Retreat have thought of everything you might need - from beach towels to pool toys to puzzles and TVs in every room. The convenience of having bathrooms in nearly every room helped our large family of 11 (ages 2 to 71) feel like we had the space we needed. We loved being able to walk out the back gate to the local grocery store, Sunnyside Cafe for breakfast, the beach, and the Sand on the Beach restaurant to celebrate my parents’ 50th anniversary. Dean was attentive and incredibly helpful with any questions we had. We booked the house nearly a year and a half before our vacation and it was worth the wait.

Perfect Place to Slow Down

5 🌟 isn’t enough for this perfect beachside retreat. We have been coming to Florida from central New York for a weeks vacation for over 10 years. This home & this location are the best we have ever experienced. Our family of 4 stayed here with 2 other families (total of 11) and we had plenty of room to be together as well as find quiet space if we needed to. We spent many hours sitting outside by the pool, under the outdoor kitchen structure, and by the outdoor fire pit. Even though this house is very close to the highway, it was very quiet. The house is nestled in the sweetest neighborhood and once our cars were parked we had little need to drive anywhere else. The market is darling and every meal we had at a restaurant within walking distance was excellent. The people in the neighborhood are so friendly. We met many locals while down at the beachside park playing sand volleyball or just swinging while overlooking the ocean. With spectacular sunrises at the beach and breathtakingly beautiful sunsets at the park by the river, we were surrounded by total peace and beauty. The park by the river within walking distance offers a great playground and sport courts. The piano bar directly across the street from there was amazing. Location location location AND a well equipped vacation home made our week stay in Florida memorable. We have little need to look for anywhere else to stay in Florida. We simply loved it at the Tipsy Turtle and hope to be back again!!!

we enjoyed our time in your house, everything you can think of was there, close to beach, shopping, all within walking distance. Very spacious as we had 11 60-year-olds, and we all had our own space. the beach is so close we got up at 3am to watch the space x launch from the beach. the outdoor kitchen area was a bonus for us. Definitely will consider your place again. Thank you!

Perfect beach house

Amazing experience

This is absolutely all we wanted and more. It had everything we needed on hand, very short stroll to beach access, wonderful hangout areas all around the property and pool area, gated pool and child locks on gates and house doors, and so much more. Easy and quick communication with property owners. Local shops close by. All amenities needed to stay all week were provided (spices, cookware, grill, beach towels, totes, coolers, chairs, wagon, umbrella, etc.

Quiet oasis near the beach

We are originally from the area and needed additional space from the family home to stay with friends who were all coming in for an event. The house was perfect with lots of living space, clean and spacious bedrooms and bathrooms, thoughtful amenities and only a five minute walk to the beach. For the price of two hotel rooms a night, we got five plus a great living space to cook, relax, visit and be together.

TipSea Turtle Retreat seems to good to be true, but it's not. It IS the perfect location & house!!

When my daughter first stumbled upon this house on VRBO, it seemed almost too good to be true, I thought surely there must be a catch! But everything was as perfect as it seemed online. Dean and Patricia are the most thoughtful and gracious host. They went way beyond to make our stay here at TipSea Turtle Retreat comfortable and memorable. The house is equipped with everything you could possibly need. We had everything we needed to hit the beach and the kitchen was stocked with all things needed to make a great meal (cooking utensils, dinnerware, pots, pans, etc. - not food, lol) The place was very extremely clean, modern, had everything we needed to feel at home, and was an easy walk to the beach. It also has a private back access to the most amazing local market that sells fresh cut meat and so much more!! This was so handy when we wanted to throw a good steak on the outside grill. This private gate also provided access to many stores and restaurants in the area. The whole neighborhood was very quiet, everyone was friendly and we even made friends with the neighborhood cat. We are already planning our next trip back!!

Perfect place for a winter getaway….great spaces throughout, close to the beach, shops and restaurants, and drivable for excursions too! We particularly liked having our own pool, the kids loved the attic space and we loved the outdoor covered grill/picnic area!

We grew up in Florida: my wife, Patricia in Port Charlotte and I, Dean in Ft. Lauderdale. We both lived in Gainesville, Go Gators! We spent 12 years in Boca Raton and had our 2 children there. We moved here to Melbourne Beach in 2012, because I have been surfing these beaches for more than 30 years and always loved what the area offers for our family!

In the heart of Melbourne Beach walk everywhere: beach, restaurants, specialty grocery store, library, river sunsets, parks, tennis, historic sites and more! We just love sharing our unique costal community with the amazing travelers from all over the country and the world. It is a pleasure to host and have a place for friends and family to use this one of a kind home.
This unique 1930's home was completely remodeled with travelers in mind. 4 bedrooms have there own new bathroom. We also have a covered poolside outdoor kitchen area with topnotch Blaze gas grill with plenty of counter space with table.
There is a private back gate access that allows you to be steps from restaurants, the specialty Melbourne Beach Market, and all that the small beach town has to offer!
The 2nd floor has an area we call the "Attic Lounge" (due to low head clearance) it has a kitchenette, laundry, couches , big TV and outside deck overlooking the backyard.

The quiet town of Melbourne Beach is ideally located in Brevard County between the cruise ships in Port Canaveral to the north and beautiful south beaches of Sebastian Inlet State Park. If all systems are GO, you could witness a Kennedy Space center rocket launch from the beach.
Situated on the barrier island between the Atlantic Ocean and the Indian River Lagoon with nature abound, it's easy to spot pelicans flying overhead, dolphins, and sometimes manatees! Depending on the time of year, connect with one of mother natures unique events during turtle nesting season, March thru October. The beaches here are one of few in the world that have three species of turtles lay their eggs at night and early morning hours, then the hatchlings emerge to start their life journey. The loggerhead, the huge leatherback and the green turtles have been using these beaches for millions of years, it is a very special event to witness but never touch or disturb them with lights. These turtles are protected by law and by the locals.
The small sleepy towns of Melbourne Beach and Indialantic hold many events: art shows to Founder's Day! There is plenty to do if you want. If you like fishing you can get your gear at nearby Black Dog bait shop and try your luck surf fishing, or off the pier at Sebastian Inlet state park or local boat charters. If you like golf there is nearby Spessard Holland or Aquarina Country Club. Nearby Ryckman park is great to play with kids, it also has a public tennis and basketball courts.
Our local beaches have some great surfing and waves on the East Coast of Florida. With the Atlantic Ocean all travelers must be aware of rip currents the ocean can create. There is a nearby Life Gaurd station at our beach that is open during the summer time and best to swim near when going into the ocean.
