Amazing house. Clean and brand new

We had a great week. Second time to same neighborhood. Concert on Saturday night amazing and winery as well as tennis. House is a gem

Un"bear"able

The property Knotty by Nature is a lovely home in a great location in the Eagle Nest neighborhood - but the Blueridge Rental management team support during the stay was a very disappointing. The home lives up to the photos and has all the style and vibe to create a really enjoyable mountain getaway but there were a few concerns. The main floor fireplace (main source of heat) creates a loud boom when it ignites, noticeably moving the heavy metal screen frame. This would wake up the whole house in the middle of the night. The real issue with the property was due to the not being equipped with metal bear resistant trash enclosures. When we arrived at the property it was covered in trash, both food, cigarettes, and personal items. The main driveway had several bear scat piles as well. I called the property management hotline and spoke with a lady who was unable to provide any guidance other than she would let me know when she got a hold of someone. After a couple more calls for updates and no information I ended up cleaning up as much as I could. I wanted my family from out of town to enjoy themselves and I wanted it to be safe for my children and dog. That night the bear came back and knocked over the trashcan, but I secured it further and it was not able to gain access. Late the next morning a team came and helped clean up the rest of the property. They were nice and shared this has been a constant issue in this neighborhood for 2+ years. So be prepared if you book.
