Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Everything went very well. Padre Escapes personnel were accessible and responsive to questions and issues. Which is not case for some of the other rental companies at this location. The space was nicely equipped, clean and comfortable. I was concerned the space might be too small for a 30+ day stay, but it worked out very well. We really enjoyed our stay.

Beach Trip

Loved the place, it's small but has everything you need. Close to beach and in a great complex. Stairs to this second floor unit are steep so if you or your pet have issues with stairs you may want to avoid this rental

Cozy on Whitecap

We enjoyed our stay at this property/condo. We spent time on the beach and fishing. And also visited family. This is our second time at this property but our first in this condo. The place was nice and cozy for our family and pet dog.

Excellent Value

Great location, and excellent value. Cold AC. The bedroom was amazingly peaceful. You can hear traffic occasionally, but no big deal because of the peacefulness. Lots of amenities and easy walk straight to the beach. Loved the golf cart parking and wash area. Thank you!

Great location / Uncomfortable furniture

Our overall stay was great, Padre escapes is really nice and easy to work with and the location of the place is perfect. The actual condo is sub-par, the bed and couch was very uncomfortable and the walls are paper thin so we could hear everything people were doing above and below us ( this condo is on the second floor). However, everything was clean and it was nice having tvs in both rooms.

Overall nice. Kitchen cabinet was broken, bathroom hand towel rack fell out of the wall and dishwasher had rusted racks that need to be replaced. Just needs some maintenance.

Horrible

Bed bugs but they said it was “ticks” like that made a difference. We stopped counting at 20. They were coming out of pillow case and sheets. I had a video but it will only let me post a pic. The room wasn’t ready at check in time. Stairs are steep. Hot tub was turned off/cold and jets didn’t work. Pubic hairs on toilet and the cleaning lady smokes while cleaning the rooms. We wondered why it smelled of cigarettes and later saw her cleaning the room with a cigarette hanging out of her mouth.

After thoroughly reviewing the situation, we do want to clarify that there were no reports of ticks or pests prior to your stay. Based on the findings and the condition of the unit, it appears that ticks may have been introduced during your reservation, possibly due to an undisclosed pet, as there was evidence of dog food and bones found in the unit. Unfortunately, no pet was reported on this reservation, which is a violation of our rental agreement. Our team did respond quickly once notified upon your checkout and followed proper pest control protocol. We’ve since scheduled additional treatment and inspection to ensure the property is fully cleared and sanitized. We’re also addressing your concerns regarding the cleanliness, the hot tub, and the smoking incident—this does not reflect the standards we aim to uphold, and it’s being followed up on directly with our housekeeping team. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention and hope this situation can be a reminder of how important full transparency is when booking. The property was clean, had a comfortable bed, TV’s that weren’t too complicated to work (not a fan of internet TV and prefer always REAL cable). Hopefully one day the condo association will update the exterior hallways so the property will have a better exterior appeal.
