Welcome to the Green Door Getaway — an updated, eco-conscious 4‑bedroom home in Oak Hill, just a 10‑minute drive from New River Gorge National Park. Spacious common areas, game-ready downtime, and secure gear storage make this a great base for families, groups of friends, climbers, paddlers, and anyone who wants a comfortable place to relax after a day outdoors.

- Fully stocked kitchen and large dining table — perfect for group meals and easy entertaining.
- Game room with a 2‑in‑1 pool/ping‑pong table plus a yoga/fitness room for warmups or cool-down stretches.

Sleeping & baths
- Sleeps up to 10: 2 queens, 1 full, 1 full/twin bunk + air mattress available.
- 2 full bathrooms stocked with eco toiletries; towels are for indoor use—please bring extras for water activities.

Outdoor & gear
- Heated covered patio with heat lamps, string lights, and a fire pit — great for cool evenings and group gatherings.
- Garage and driveway space for kayaks, bikes, climbing packs, and other gear. Level II EV charger on site.

Absolutely amazing stay! Extremely close to the police & fire stations. Fenced in back yard for the pups! Plenty of room for the 7 of us!! When we come back to WV this is where we will stay!!!

Convenient and Comfortable

We had a great weekend stay at the Green Door Getaway! We had a group of 9 and there was plenty of space to gather together as well as our own spaces. The house was well equipped with everything we needed. It is also conveniently located and was easy to travel to stores and the National Park. The owners were quick with communication and to meet any needs. Would stay again!

Beautifully decorated, great location

We stayed at this Oak Hill house for a family labor day trip and all loved the house. It is very clean, decorated beautifully, and gave lots of space for everyone. We most enjoyed the back patio to chill at in the early morning and evenings while chatting, and the game room with the ping pong/pool table duo. The large kitchen table was great for meals and playing board games. We took a few walks around the neighborhood in the evening too and appreciated the quiet, safe area. The police and fire stations are right down the street. Finally, we appreciated that the location made it easy to drive to local attractions and hikes. Highly recommend!

Perfect stay for a sisters' trip!

There were four of us in the group, all sisters. With 4 bedrooms we each had our space while still being together in one home. It was close to nearly everything we had planned. Interior is as pictured. The only change was that there was not a composter, but Philip quickly responded to my message letting us know that it unfortunately had not worked out as fruit flies became an issue. Note there were no fruit flies or other insects to worry about! The yoga room was a hit for the sister in our group who is a yoga instructor. Would definitely recommend to others.

The floors were not very clean. There was a lot of grass along the baseboards and on the basement stairs. The microwave didn’t work. There was a twin bed listed for a commons areas and it is actually an air mattress not a twin bed. There was dried food on the kitchen cabinets and walls. There was opened jar of jam in one of the cabinets. The spatula was maybe melted off. There were two in bad shape. The garage door in the basement didn’t close so there is a draft and made the basement where the second bathroom and an additional bedroom are very cold. The bathroom in the basement had no privacy. There was no lock on the door and a gap between the door and the wall. When I notified the owner of once of the outlets and the microwave not working, he told me I could go to the garage and check the fuse box. I did. I flipped the fuse. The outlet worked but the microwave didn’t. I never got a response back from that. The heated patio is not very nice. There were cobwebs everywhere and the neighbors backyard is less than desirable to look at. The driveway cannot hold 3 cars. It’s is very narrow. There are 3 additional steps not shown in the pictures and there is no railing. My dad fell out last night there.

Hi Kendra, I am sorry you did not enjoy your stay. You may be happy to know that we replaced the microwave promptly after your stay as it appears that someone broke it just prior to you. I am sorry you felt our home was not up to your standards. We do try our best to make everyone's stay as enjoyable as possible. Nonetheless, we do value feedback and make an effort to correct all the issues with the home as quickly as possible.

From pre check-in to check-out the property and hosts were perfect. The house was just as described and perfect for the white-water rafting trip we planned. Perfect location. Fenced-in yard was perfect for the dogs too! Wish we could all have stayed longer. The hosts were friendly, helpful, and willing to answer all of our questions. Would definitely stay again!

nice, cozy place

Great place for a group to stay for a weekend rafting trip. super clean would stay again. We had 7 people which was a little crowded. There is a workout/bonus room that could be better served with an additional twin bed in there to better serve a large group of friends that dont want to share a queen bed :)

Hi we're Phil and Christina. We have been using Airbnb for many years now and only recently started hosting for the very first time.

We are avid rock climbers and love to travel. After traveling to many different areas around the country for climbing, we decided that the New River Gorge is our favorite place to be! We always wanted to own a home in the New River Gorge and we finally decided to go for it after the NRG became a National Park.

We are also very passionate about doing our part to reduce waste and preserve our natural environments. This conviction is mirrored in our home through choosing more sustainable options like carbon 0 soaps and detergents, and not using single use items like sponges and kuerigs.

We hope you will choose to stay at our home and share our passion for caring for the environment around us!

Equipped with every comfort needed to make your stay as excellent as possible, the Green Door Getaway has everything you need for your whole family plus all your friends! Do you love the outdoors and preserving our natural resources? So do we! As such we try to be champions of preservation of our natural resources and environments. This passion was not compromised when we created the Green Door Getaway. We have chosen to spare the extra expense by providing resources such as carbon 0 soaps and detergents, bamboo paper products, and a counter top compost machine easy enough for anyone to use!
