Property Policies
Parking
Parking is permitted in the driveway only. Per Fannin County Ordinance number 2023-10-24 the maximum number of vehicles allowed on-site is three (3). Exceeding the maximum number of vehicles allowed (parked overnight) on-site is a violation of this ordinance. Do not park in the street or on the shoulder. Though the driveway is relatively level, if you leave a boat or trailer that you plan to detach from your vehicle you will need to chalk the wheels.
Quiet Hours
Quiet hours are 9pm-9am. While you are welcome to utilize the cabin features 24/7, we ask that you be cognizant and mindful of your volume and/or music level out of respect for the surrounding area and neighbors. Sounds carries significantly in the mountains and over the lake. Absolutely no house parties are allowed.
Smoking Policy
This is a non-smoking property. Smoking is permitted outside of the home as long as cigarette butts and ash are disposed of properly and not discarded in the yard. If burns to furnishings occur subsequent charges for repair will be billed to the card on file with copies of invoices paid available upon request.
Fireworks, Firearms, and Fires
The discharge of a firearm, uncontained fires, the lighting of fireworks, and all other activities which create a threat to the health safety, or welfare of other residents are strictly prohibited per Fannin County Short-Term Vacation Rental Properties Ordinance. Any violation of this ordinance is at the expense of the Guest(s), fully punishable up to the extent of the State of Georgia and Fannin County laws, and is subject to immediate eviction and loss of all rents.
Pet Policy
Pets are NOT allowed at any time. We love our furry friends as much as the next person, but we have seen the damage done to other vacation rentals that are pet friendly. To prevent these incidents as well as to ensure there are no issues with cleanliness or guest allergies, we do not allow pets of any kind on the premises. Cameras are present around the perimeter of the property, so should this policy be disregarded immediate eviction and loss of all rents wills occur.
Hot tub
Use the hot tub at your own risk. Do not use hot tub if you are or suspect you are pregnant. Children under the age of 12 must have adult supervision. No bubble bath, salts, or soaps of any kind allowed in the hot tub. Please do not sit or stand on the hot tub cover or put your knees on the control panel. Guest(s) should shower before and after each hot tub use. It is also highly recommended that swim suits be washed with clean water after each use. This is for personal hygiene and sanitation purposes. Following these instructions limits the likelihood of bacteria buildup between uses. Drinking containers i.e., glasses, bottles, cans; smoking, and pets are strictly prohibited. It is recommended to maintain the hot tub temperature between 100’F-102’F for sanitation and safety purposes. Please do not adjust the temperature outside of this range.
Cover: Keep the cover closed on the hot tub when not in use.
Gas Fireplace (never leave unattended). Upon departure be sure the fireplace is off and only the pilot light is lit.
No other items (hot dogs, marshmallows, wood, etc.) besides gas logs will be burned in the gas log fireplace. Guest(s) will not disturb, adjust, move, cook over or otherwise damage gas logs in fireplace box. Moving or adjusting logs will prevent fire logs from functioning correctly.
Conventional (wood burning) fireplace
Do not burn anything other than wood or artificial logs (charcoal, accelerants, etc.). No fire is allowed to be left unattended and no other item (charcoal, accelerants, etc.) will be burned in wood log fireplaces. Guest(s) agrees to pay a clean out fee of $50 if any items other than wood logs are burned in the wood burning fireplace. Ensure the damper is open on the wood burning fireplace before lighting.
Please note, if you use the outdoor fire pit, you are responsible if any "wild fires" start and could be subject to fines or response charges by the Department of Forestry. Please pay attention to warnings of fire bans in the event that North Georgia is under restrictions due to drought/windy conditions. Dispose of the debris and ash once cooled in a trash bag and dispose of it in the main outdoor trash can.
Kayaks and Boat
Use at your own risk. When not in use, ensure kayaks, boat, and paddles are secured where they will not float away during your stay. Life vests should be worn while using the kayaks and boat. Be sure the vests are dry before placing them in the bin to prevent mildewing.
We are grateful you chose our cabin for your vacation and to make memories. We hope you enjoy your stay to the fullest!
