Just steps to the beach with PRIVATE HEATED POOL, FULLY FENCED IN AREA AROUND THE POOL, FIRE PIT WITH OUTDOOR MOVIE AREA, GAME ROOM AND PET FRIENDLY! !
We love that the home gives you the unique Lewes beach cottage feel but with a very modern flair! The original hardwood floors could tell a tale of summers past, yet the modern sleek furniture makes you feel in luxury. The home is spacious, the photos do no justice to the size of the rooms. The dining area has enough space for a feast, the living room can hold everyone for movie night, and the game room...well this room is a vacation all itself. There is a pool table, basketball, ski ball, shuffle board, air hockey, darts; so much fun in one room! This will be the place where memories are made! Three bedrooms, including the primary, are located on the first floor. The primary bedroom includes 2 king beds and a bathroom that was updated summer of 2024. The SECOND primary bedroom offers an additional sitting room and a full bath coming spring of 2025! There's also a full bathroom in the hallway and a third bedroom. The second floor boasts a large room with 6 single beds, perfect for one family or all the kids! Dogs are permitted with a $300 non-refundable pet fee per pet- 2 animal maximum per reservation.

A linen package can be purchased for your stay. The cost of the linen package for one week's stay is $330.50.

Was a great location. House needs some updates.Was not well cleaned on check in. Had garbage under beds and around pool and fire pit. Pool was nice and outdoor movie projector was great.

Lewes, DE 1st time stay

This property was our first staying in Lewes. I loved that this house seemed to be an original. It has some of the cute cottage touches. The pool was fabulous and the location could not be beat. The neighborhood was wonderful and we had an overall excellent week. I loved the house but the potential it could have with a bit of upkeep would have made this house over the top.

All went well after some trouble figuring out the heating. Home wasn't winterized when we arrived on a 40 deg day. It was 51 deg inside and furnace and baseboard heating weren't working. Spoke w property mgr who was making efforts for tech to come but we couldn't wait as it was freezing. Bought 4 space heaters for our use. After a lot of trouble shooting on our own, checked the main elec panel and found to our surprise that all the breakers to heating system were in off position. Got the baseboard heaters working but furnace never started. Space heaters were adequate to keep the upstairs reasonably warm. No one was ableTo come thru our stay and we made do. Nice stay overall other than the heating issue. We may have been the first winter renter and they hadn't winterized the home prior. Listing agent said our expenses will be reimbursed as well as some compensation for our lost day. Sounds legit but I'm still waiting for word from accounting, 20 days later.

Can't beat the location and layout of the house. Short drive to restaurants as well. My disappointments come from the lack of overall cleanliness of the property. Upon arrival there was a strong animal urine stench upon entering the property. The floors were a bit grimy too. The backyard/pool was not cleaned. I know there were recent storms, but this looked like it had not been touched since the last visitors. I will admit, the communication was excellent and the problem was addressed with pool cleaners the next day. The beach, game room and pool all left our stay with positive family memories, I just wish they were taken care of prior to our arrival.

Amazing Memories

The house was the perfect summer get-together spot for my extended family. The pool, fire pit, outdoor cinema, game room, and beach access made for some great memories. While the house does have some wear and dated bathrooms, it has everything you need to keep a big group entertained. We would book again.

Great place to stay

We had one of our best family vacations. The weather was perfect the house location was ideal and the house had everything we could want.Including a pool which was used in addition to the ocean. We had a small issue with the air condition and Miles who was managing was so reactive and had it attended to very quickly. Thanks for everything. We will definitely be back.

The location is great! Close walk to the beach. Lots of space in the home for gathering and eating, but also nooks to spread apart and have some space to yourself as needed. Lots of neat things in the house, but a lot of things that were broken (game room most things had broken or missing parts, making them difficult or unable to play; only 1 remote for 4 TVs). Pool was nice to have, but the pool and whole outdoor area could have used a cleaning. Lots of items in the kitchen to use (dishes, utensils, pans, etc). We enjoyed the firepit as well. We did not use the outdoor screen. Linens are extra , but were delivered timely. One thing I did not like was that it is listed as VRBO (which has an additional vrbo fee), but it's actually managed by a realty group. He was professional and curteous and did respond to messages. Communication was good, but not always timely, as you are talking with someone who is only responding during their office hours. Overall a nice place to stay.

Awesome location- good for families with kids

Ample parking, beautiful pool, and outdoor space. Spent majority of time at beach which is steps away. Made it easy to go back and forth for food and every else. Watched movies outside and built a fire one night too! An entire room of gaming devices on the first level next to the kitchen and living room. Many blinds and doors were difficult to navigate. AC was not working but owner was responsive.

Although the location is wonderful, this was the worst rental experience I have ever had. I believe the previous renters left the home extremely filthy. Despite the cleaner staying past check in time, the home still had food on the couch and other furniture, on the floors, and outside. My family spent the first two hours cleaning and picking up trash trying to make this place clean and safe for the baby and dogs. There was MOLD on the ceiling in the family room, and for four of the seven people in my family who have allergies, they were having breathing issues. Of the four electronic games in the home, only one worked. The eight ball was missing from the pool table. The outdoor screen was left down and maintenance had to come to get the screen to roll up. The indoor and outdoor space which held appeal for us as renters was not usable. Overall a dismal experience with this property. I have been brief in my comments but feel free to contact me for clarification if needed.

The house was not clean at all. The bathrooms were dirty and very old. The pool had not been cleaned and was not useable. We checked out early because we were not comfortable staying there. Very disappointed especially considering the cost.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our stay! The house is very comfortable with good furniture and plenty of space. The beds were all great and the game room was tons of fun! I enjoyed the screened porch with the large table for morning coffee and the walk to the bay beach was literally steps! You can tell the property has had some thoughtful updates which were great but I would recommend adding a dishwasher, some updating to outlets are needed and both full bathrooms could use a little more updating for the price. The space in the home is used very well and it was a great location. Would absolutely stay again.

Perfect Family and Friends Trip

I stayed here with my kids and one other family. Location is perfect and so close to the beach that it’s perfect for families to be able to run back and forth for snacks, bathroom, etc. in under a minute. The beach is perfect for little kids because there is very little water waves so easier for them and not a huge trek to get to the water. Game room is great and provides welcomed entertainment for kids and adults. We loved the swings and outdoor movie setup. Having a private pool is awesome for when you don’t want to get all sandy and just chill at the house. Lewes itself is awesome. Great restaurants and family friendly. We took the ferry to Cape May for the day (kids loved the ferry ride) and went to the zoo (amazing and only charging a donation), saw shipwreck beach, and got some yummy Peace Pie (ice cream shop) in town. Highly recommend for families and those that want to be steps to the beach.

Great pool

Large home with a great pool! Some upgrades would be helpful such as the washer, tile floor in bathroom as well as a better shower head. The place had an odor in the far end which we couldn’t tell where it originated from. It smelled a bit like cat urine. The week was extremely humid so perhaps it was bringing out some old smells. It was reported and we were assured it would be looked into. There’s an awesome outdoor screen, we didn’t use it but if the humidity wasn’t so bad we may have tried it out. Very easy “ bay beach” access. Game room was huge and fun, but I would have preferred that to be a large living room, for everyone to be able to gather together for movies. Quiet nice and comfortable for a large family vacation.

My thoughts and all this revolves around what we got considering what we paid. IMO this should have been 1/3 of what it was.- house wasn't clean.- trash was overflowing with maggots. We had to transfer magot covered trash from recycling to trash bin.- amenities were lacking. Limited cookware and zero clothing storage.- no fire alarms or venting for cooking.- remotes had dead batteries so room fans did not work and exterior lighting was not accessible for us to enjoy the outside at night. Managment came but did not solve the issue.- Grill hasn't been cleaned in years. Was a potential fire hazard. - game room wasn't fully functioning.- no means to really clean pool and vacuum was locked up and strainer was broken (short)- yard was overgrown and had dog poop. Fire pit also had dog poop.We understand that the week prior is a busy week given it's the 4th of July but we paid a premium months in advance for the place the week after and knowing the condition the house would need extra care that should have been taken to have the place ready for us.The location to the beach was great and the option with the pool was nice. The property has a lot of potential but was a bit run down for it being early during a peak season.

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback Jacqueline, and we apologize that you did not have a great experience. The owner strives to provide an excellent experience to guests each week. The cleaner is suppose to clean the grill each week, as well as, check the yard for any dog waste from previous guests. After your feedback - we have notified the cleaner and actually had a deep clean take place upon your check-out. Also, the grill is 2 years old and has been cleaned thoroughly now, and the owner said he'll replace it prior to next season. We have never had a complaint about that grill prior to now. As for the trash - it is scheduled twice a week, and we understand tenants will have a lot of trash from time to time. Once we were informed on the overflowing trash - I cam out there within a few hours and took about 10 bags of trash to help make room for the remainder of the week. This is an issue we have periodically due to tenants leaving a lot of trash prior to vacating, as well as being at the mercy of the trash companies. All remotes have had batteries replaced as well. Again, thank you for the feedback as we strive to improve every week and every year!
