11 Illinois Ave- Just steps to the beach with PRIVATE HEATED POOL, FULLY FENCED IN AREA AROUND THE POOL, FIRE PIT WITH OUTDOOR MOVIE AREA, GAME ROOM AND PET FRIENDLY! !
We love that the home gives you the unique Lewes beach cottage feel but with a very modern flair! The original hardwood floors could tell a tale of summers past, yet the modern sleek furniture makes you feel in luxury. The home is spacious, the photos do no justice to the size of the rooms. The dining area has enough space for a feast, the living room can hold everyone for movie night, and the game room...well this room is a vacation all itself. There is a pool table, basketball, ski ball, shuffle board, air hockey, darts; so much fun in one room! This will be the place where memories are made! Three bedrooms, including the primary, are located on the first floor. The primary bedroom includes 2 king beds and a bathroom that was updated summer of 2024. The SECOND primary bedroom offers an additional sitting room and a full bath coming spring of 2025! There's also a full bathroom in the hallway and a third bedroom. The second floor boasts a large room with 6 single beds, perfect for one family or all the kids! Dogs are permitted with a $300 non-refundable pet fee per pet- 2 animal maximum per reservation.

A linen package can be purchased for your stay. The cost of the linen package for one week's stay is $330.50.

All VRBO reservations are a booking request only until confirmed by Property Manager. You will be required to sign a Residential Lease Agreement and make your payment within the required deadlines provided or your booking request will be cancelled. Great Place!

Our family loved this home. The kids played in the game room nonstop, and the beach was perfect for our group. There was tons of sea life, and a great little community. We would happily stay here again.

Great place to stay

We had one of our best family vacations. The weather was perfect the house location was ideal and the house had everything we could want.Including a pool which was used in addition to the ocean. We had a small issue with the air condition and Miles who was managing was so reactive and had it attended to very quickly. Thanks for everything. We will definitely be back.

Awesome location- good for families with kids

Ample parking, beautiful pool, and outdoor space. Spent majority of time at beach which is steps away. Made it easy to go back and forth for food and every else. Watched movies outside and built a fire one night too! An entire room of gaming devices on the first level next to the kitchen and living room. Many blinds and doors were difficult to navigate. AC was not working but owner was responsive.

Disappointed

The house was not clean at all. The bathrooms were dirty and very old. The pool had not been cleaned and was not useable. We checked out early because we were not comfortable staying there. Very disappointed especially considering the cost.

Great pool

Large home with a great pool! Some upgrades would be helpful such as the washer, tile floor in bathroom as well as a better shower head. The place had an odor in the far end which we couldn’t tell where it originated from. It smelled a bit like cat urine. The week was extremely humid so perhaps it was bringing out some old smells. It was reported and we were assured it would be looked into. There’s an awesome outdoor screen, we didn’t use it but if the humidity wasn’t so bad we may have tried it out. Very easy “ bay beach” access. Game room was huge and fun, but I would have preferred that to be a large living room, for everyone to be able to gather together for movies. Quiet nice and comfortable for a large family vacation.

Perfect Family and Friends Trip

I stayed here with my kids and one other family. Location is perfect and so close to the beach that it’s perfect for families to be able to run back and forth for snacks, bathroom, etc. in under a minute. The beach is perfect for little kids because there is very little water waves so easier for them and not a huge trek to get to the water. Game room is great and provides welcomed entertainment for kids and adults. We loved the swings and outdoor movie setup. Having a private pool is awesome for when you don’t want to get all sandy and just chill at the house. Lewes itself is awesome. Great restaurants and family friendly. We took the ferry to Cape May for the day (kids loved the ferry ride) and went to the zoo (amazing and only charging a donation), saw shipwreck beach, and got some yummy Peace Pie (ice cream shop) in town. Highly recommend for families and those that want to be steps to the beach.

Great location and nice pool, house could be cleaner and more updated

Highlights- love the location- steps away from the bay, easy bike ride to Lewes. Cape Henlopen close by. We loved the pool and game room. The house itself could use updating and a thorough cleaning. When we arrived the house smelled musty and we opened the windows to freshen the air. Window sills were really dirty. Some windows and patios doors didn't open. We were surprised to find no toilet paper in the house. And we had to pay several hundred dollars to borrow linens and make the beds ourselves. The listing agent was great at communicating before our stay. We had good check in instructions and details. However, after we arrived I emailed him about some concerns and heard nothing back. Overall, I think the house is overpriced for the condition it is in. The location and pool are great. And there is lots of space in the house. But the condition could be improved, or the price lowered.

Overall great house!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our stay! The house is very comfortable with good furniture and plenty of space. The beds were all great and the game room was tons of fun! I enjoyed the screened porch with the large table for morning coffee and the walk to the bay beach was literally steps! You can tell the property has had some thoughtful updates which were great but I would recommend adding a dishwasher, some updating to outlets are needed and both full bathrooms could use a little more updating for the price. The space in the home is used very well and it was a great location. Would absolutely stay again.

Great location, but needs a lot of updating

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location and pool are amazing, as well as the game room. The rest of the house needs a lot of work. The kitchen is very dated, with no dishwasher and limited pantry space for food. The bathrooms are abysmal. Although the home is on one level, it is really not good for the elderly or people with poor mobility as the house is very disjointed with uneven thresholds at every room Transition. It is quirky and definitely had some nice points. But it was lot of money for a very dated home. Also, there were no kayaks or bikes available to use, even though these were listed as amenities. This should be updated. Also, the beach nearby is on the bay, so although it is beautiful and safer for small children, there are no waves.

Good house for big family w/children!! Great location.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The home has ample parking in a nice, quiet neighborhood. Great walking distance to the beach. Not to far from Rehoboth Boardwalk. House felt like a maze when I first walked thru but after a day it became cozy. I was also surprised although all the bedrooms are on the main floor, you don’t really hear outside noise when the doors are shut.Home is pretty dated.bathroom has desk wall paper and very dim lights. Bathroom doors don’t lock, outlets are loose and cords kept falling out. Refrigerator leaked, washer n dryer left clothes still smelly, the projector area by the fire pit was cute but we couldn’t connect completely to the projector so that was a dupe. I also didn’t understand why checking out we had to make the beds. Does that mean the tenants before us did the same and the linens aren’t washed? I’m confused what the cleaning service fee is even for. Upon arrival we had to cleaned up to our own expectations. House smelled a little dainty. But We lit our own candles and turned on the AC so that was a quick fix. The trash and recycle receptacles outside were completely full, so seems like the last tenant didn’t remove their trash. I had to haul out all the trash at my departure, and pick up what was on the floor in fear that I would be charged a fee. That was really inconvenient. Also, the house did not come with a starter kit, so make sure you bring your own toilet paper, towels, detergent, hand soap etc. I understand there was a service fee for towels and linens, but I would’ve expected for the amont we paid there would’ve been one towel at least in the bathrooms. I was also pretty surprised for the amount I paid there wasn’t even one toilet paper roll in any of the bathrooms. At arrival I had to send my husband out to the store to grab some for the home.Other than that Myles was great to work with. Very professional, informative and quick to respond. Ov

Amazing Memories

The house was the perfect summer get-together spot for my extended family. The pool, fire pit, outdoor cinema, game room, and beach access made for some great memories. While the house does have some wear and dated bathrooms, it has everything you need to keep a big group entertained. We would book again.

Disappointed

The only positive is the location. Excellent. Walk to the beach. The house was semi-clean. Most of the outlets are so old, a plug won't stay in. Floor tiles in one bathroom broken. Lighting in one bathroom very poor. Sliding glass doors in game room extremely difficult to open and close. The house has a musty odor that would not go away.. We just can't justify the daily cost to rent this very old house in need of much more TLC. Do not recommend!

House with great location

The house is spacious and very close to the beach. For the price we paid the condition was lacking. Air conditioning was not working when we got there. The property manager did call the AC guy (who was terrific) and it was working by the time we went to bed. Several of the arcade games were broken. The back door did not lock. One of the overhead fans in the bedroom didn’t work. For having a house that sleeps 14 there was limited silverware and coffee cups. It was just a lot of little things for the price. The location can’t be beat. The accessibility to the bike paths and town was great and the property manager very responsive.
