Excellent location. Walking to everything in Gardiner and could walk to the entrance of Yellowstone Park. Plus! incredible view off the back deck of the Yellowstone River and Electric Peak. One morning drinking coffee we watched a wildlife (on the other side of the river) roam around. Wonderful, very comfortable and spacious stay.

This experience was nothing short of awesome! The house worked extremely well with our group, was well laid out, and had wonderful common spaces to enjoy together. Views were phenomenal with large windows from the dining and living areas, a back deck and a fire ring with seating, all overlooking Yellowstone National Park directly across the river. The location gave us the experience of seeming to be in the Park but also in Gardiner - we walked through the entire town and out to Roosevelt Arch several times. We were impressed and would not hesitate to stay here again.

Dorothy was an excellent, attentive host. Our entire family from 7 to 77 loved our stay here. The playground in the yard was a big hit. The house is in a great location to town, Yellowstone, activities, and restaurants. The market is within walking distance. The house is decorated to resemble your own home. Beautiful views as well. Thank you for a happy vacation!

Such a great house. We've stayed in a lot of VRBO's and this was house was the best equipped of any we've stayed in. It accommodated our large family of 10 really well. Ample room for the 3 small children to play. Beautiful view and sounds of the river below. Dorothy was so nice and very communicative. Minutes from the Main entrance and grocery store. Parking is ok, only 2 cars allowed. Our 3rd car stayed in the street for the week without issue. Beds were comfortable, water pressure is good and the kitchen was great!. The swing set came in handy too!

Our stay at this spectacular 5-bedroom, 5-bathroom home on the Yellowstone River in Montana exceeded every expectation. The property itself is absolutely breathtaking — peaceful, beautifully maintained, and surrounded by stunning river and mountain views that made every morning and evening unforgettable. The home was spacious, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully designed with every comfort imaginable. Whether relaxing by the river, enjoying meals together, or simply taking in the scenery, every moment felt special. What truly made this experience exceptional was the hostess. She was incredibly welcoming, attentive, and responsive from the moment we booked until the day we left. Any question or request was answered almost immediately, and her genuine hospitality made us feel completely cared for throughout our stay. This was truly a five-star experience in every way. We would return without hesitation and highly recommend this incredible Yellowstone River retreat to anyone looking for a luxurious and unforgettable Montana getaway.

Yellowstone multigenerational family vacation

This welcoming, comfortable home had everything for our group of 8. We enjoyed morning coffee on the back deck overlooking the river, walking into Gardiner, rafting on the river, home cooked meals and eating at the restaurants, cocktail time in the evenings around the fire pit looking at the stars and 4 glorious days in Yellowstone National Park. Terrific host.

I am an artist, living, working and raising 2 children, at the edge of Yellowstone with my business partner/husband, also an artist. I enjoy living in the midst of wildlife, surrounded by the beauty of the natural world - and take advantage of my Yellowstone 'back yard' (literally!) every chance I get. I paint outside in Yellowstone often and in my 'spare time', I hike, cross country ski, canoe and kayak.... and remodel ;)

We literally searched for years looking for 'the spot'. We are artists fortunate enough to live where ever we'd like. Our property is on the Yellowstone River overlooking Yellowstone National Park. The mountain and river views are gorgeous and we're at the edge of a wonderful, friendly small town. We can walk to the grocery store and Yellowstone National Park too! Hiking, skiing and soaking in the Hot Springs are just minutes away. Plus, we're close enough to take advantage of Livingston and Bozeman, MT - a couple great towns with good vibes and bigger amenities. You can get to lots of art, outdoor activities and shopping after a beautiful drive up Paradise Valley (aptly named). That's why we call our spot 'the center of the universe.'

Not too many places on this Earth have what we have. How many people can watch a wolf pack hunt, eagles and osprey catch fish, bison herds graze, elk swim and twin pronghorns born - right from their dining room window? We watch Electric Peak (one of the highest mountains in Yellowstone Park) as the sun rises it turns a beautiful 'morning pink' with the soft sounds of the river in the background. We can watch the sun set and turn the river to a ribbon of orange, then at night, with the moon above, the river again comes alive and sparkles with the moons reflection. How could we want anymore?
