My stay at this property is always wonderful. The house is clean and the host provides special touches with body wash, shampoo and lotions. The setting is ideal - beautiful deck with comfortable furniture and a big lawn leading down to a private beach. The hosts always respond immediately and solve any problem that may arise. I come back every year and my family always looks forward to spending time there.

Upon entering this home, you are struck by an expansive view of the bay. That view and the wonderful natural light coming in through the large windows suffuses the living, dining, and kitchen areas with a constant sense that you are truly on a beach vacation. The appliances, cookware, sheets, towels: everything is top notch. The ping pong table in the basement is a nice bonus for a rainy day. Excellent farm stands and Braun’s fish market are nearby for lovely summer meals. Our host could not be nicer. The few questions we had received an immediate response. We had a lovely time.

Incredibly peaceful getaway

We had the most incredible 2 weeks at Caroline and Evan’s home. The house was beautifully updated, exactly as pictured, and had everything we needed and more. Peaceful, quiet neighborhood with an unbeatable view of the bay and private beach. The location is perfect, close to many vineyards, farm stands, and an easy drive to nearby towns like Mattituck and Greenport. Caroline and Evan were great hosts, very communicative and helpful. It was a dream to stay here and we hope to come back again! Thanks for everything!

Outstanding North Fork vacation

The pictures don't really do the house justice. It clearly has recently been redone, such that we were noting things for our upcoming home renovation. We really enjoyed the patio furniture, both for meals at the dining table and reading and relaxing on the sectional. The appliances, linens and toiletries were exceptional. The location right on the beach makes this a perfect house for a beach vacation.

Beautiful Beachfront Bungalow!

The home, yard, beachfront location, and experience with host were all perfect and flawless. The home is immaculate, beautifully decorated, and filled with amenities that far exceeded our expectations. It is the perfect small family vacation home close to all North Fork sights. Our two toddler grandchildren especially loved the private beach, beach toys, and smaller waves of Peconic Bay —and all part of the backyard. The host made us feel so welcome, too! Thank you, Caroline!!

Jamesport bay house

We had a wonderful time in this beautiful house right on Peconic Bay. Caroline anticipated all of our need from great toiletries to floats and beach chairs. The house was immaculate and beautifully decorated but our favorite spot was the patio with a big comfortable couch and large dining table. There were also two Adirondack chairs on the lawn set up to view the sunrise. Thanks, Caroline for making our stay such a memorable one. We hope to be back next year!

Perfect!

From the moment we reached out to the host until the moment we checked out the process was fabulous. The house is absolutely incredible and it was perfect for our family of two adults and two children (ages 6 and 2). Staying right on the bay is a dream as the water is calm and the little private beach is so fun and so safe for the little ones. The house itself had everything you could want and things you didn’t even know you wanted! Beds were incredibly comfortable, sheets soft and pillows fluffy. The location of the house is not only great due to the proximity to the bay but also to all the vineyards, restaurants and fun activities. All and all, you literally could not ask for anything more from a vacation.

Toddler and Dog Approved!

To say this home was perfect is an understatement. The private beach was great for my toddler and dog. The bay was calm and safe. We usually stay on the sound side of the island but are so happy we chose the bay. We discovered so many more restaurants, farm stands and activities right by the house that we may never have found before. Caroline was a terrific host. The house had everything you could ask for and was so comfortable. I haven't been this relaxed in a long time. Every time we left for an activity, my toddler would ask to "go back to the beach house". She loved it, my husband and I loved it and our dog loved it. I'm searching our calendar for when we can go back again. Such a great trip to the North Fork!

Spectacular sunrise and a private beach!

In the age of Covid we found ourselves renting a lot of places and having staycations with our family. We realized with two young kids it’s actually easier and we really enjoyed it. So we have in the last 2 1/2 years rented a number of places, and this place has exceeded expectations. At this time the house is pretty new to the short term rental market. And I feel very fortunate to have come across this listing. The house itself is beautiful and newly renovated. Everything so well thought out and organized. The house is bright and airy with a lot of windows and very comfortable. I’m glad to see the response for the last review saying that they will get a table outside however the table inside has a very open feeling and feels like you’re outside with all the windows and views. This house gets a lot of morning light so if you like watching a spectacular sunrise then you should definitely rent this house. The beach is right down the steps and the water is nice and calm for the kids. The speech is very private. We hope to rent again next summer. Caroline the owner is great and very responsive. The beds are comfortable and they provided linens, sheets, towels, basic toiletries and everything you need to make your stay comfortable. There are a lot of little details that make this place stand out from the rest. Not to mention the views.

We are a family of four (plus our dog!) who have deep roots on the North Fork. Having grown up on Long Island, we've spent our entire lives visiting this special area. Our grandparents and parents owned homes in Southold and Greenport, and we still have family who live here year-round.

The North Fork has always been a place where we gather, relax, and create lasting memories, and we're excited to share that experience with our guests. Whether you're visiting for the beaches, wineries, restaurants, farm stands, or simply to unwind by the water, we hope you'll fall in love with the North Fork as much as we have.

この宿泊施設のオーナーになった理由

The Bluffs is tucked away from the main road, offering a peaceful and private setting where you can truly relax and enjoy the beauty of Peconic Bay. One of our favorite things about the neighborhood is that it feels secluded while still being close to everything that makes the North Fork so special.

You're just minutes from Southold's charming Love Lane, local wineries, farm stands, waterfront restaurants, and some of the area's best attractions. Whether you're spending the day wine tasting, exploring nearby towns, or simply enjoying a quiet morning watching the boats drift by, The Bluffs is perfectly situated to experience the best of the North Fork.

この宿泊施設の特徴

What truly sets The Bluffs apart is its rare combination of privacy, waterfront access, and modern comfort. Guests can enjoy direct access to a private beach on Peconic Bay, where breathtaking sunrises and panoramic water views become part of the daily experience.

The home has been thoughtfully renovated throughout and features a fully equipped kitchen with everything needed for cooking, entertaining, and enjoying a comfortable stay. From the open-concept living spaces and expansive bay views to the outdoor lounge area overlooking the water, The Bluffs offers a unique North Fork getaway that is difficult to find elsewhere.
