The house has so much charm and lots of room for my family to spread out. It was a perfect location, beautiful block next to beach access, amazing views on deck of ocean, and we had front seat to fireworks on the second floor deck. The host was very accommodating, very helpful. Wish our stay was longer than a week.

My grandparents bought this house in 1965 and my family has lived here continuously ever since: three generations' worth. We held my parents' 50th Wedding Anniversary in the backyard, and also my own wedding reception for 50 in the same yard, along with countless holiday parties and celebrations. We have been the sole year-round residents of Dolphin Drive for years and did a complete home renovation five years ago. I moved back to Margate from Los Angeles (where I wrote for TV, film, and the L.A. Times, among other publications) after my father passed away to take care of my mother and work on my novels. Mom's now 95, and the stairs became "too much," so we've shifted to a one-level nearby. In the meantime, we've decided to open up the old homestead to allow others to create some of the same wonderful carefree memories we've amassed living with sand in our shoes for the past half a century. Please enjoy our home as much as we have (and do)!
