Regrettably, Paula's reservation was canceled due to her failure to comply with the house rules. This was her second stay with us, and unfortunately, it was also the second time we encountered issues. Her initial booking was through Airbnb, while this time it was through VRBO. The primary concern this time was the presence of unauthorized guests, which is strictly prohibited as it creates disturbances for our full-time neighbors. Our property is approved for up to 12 guests. We received information indicating that the number of people at the house exceeded the allowed limit. Following an attempt to address the situation amicably, Paula informed me of her intention to proceed with a cookout and invite additional guests. Consequently, her reservation was canceled immediately. Upon inspecting the property after their departure, we discovered that a member of Paula's group had defecated in the toilet water holding tank. We were compelled to engage a bio-hazardous cleaning company to clean and sanitize the toilet water holding tank. In light of these events, I do not recommend anyone to host Paula or her family members and of course, she is no longer welcome at our home.

Unfortunately, Jessica is a little hurt and it shows in the unfair review of a 1 star rating. I personally have over 300 reviews on my properties totaling all the STR companies and have maintained a five star rating since 2017. Typically when I do not get a five star rating, it is because people are breaking the rules and they are not happy with the outcome of their decisions. They then try to place blame on the me host. I welcomed Jessica to the house and gave her a friendly reminder only registered guests, no more than 12 are allowed on the premises. (This is stated in my rules). Jessica felt entitled, told me (the host) she should be able to invite other people over to my home if she wants too. I informed her no other guest were allowed and if she went forward with the party I would cancel her reservations. She did not like my response, and became very agitated in her responses but assured me that they were not going to have the get together at my home. That was a lie. She continued with the gathering and then wrote me after she checked out to inform me she had it anyway. I personally do not recommend her nor is she welcomed back to my home. As far as the house, they did take average care of it, smelled like they were vaping in the house but there was no damage, and they did get most of the garbage out.
