This is a lovely apartment in the walkout basement of our home.
Family friendly, spacious 800sf, forest-facing, mountain escape.
Surrounded by beautiful views, a short walk/ride to the state park, and tons of trails and scenic adventures.
Nestled among pines & aspens, between 4 historic mountain towns.
30 mins to Golden, Boulder, Nederland/Eldora ski resort. A short drive to coffee shops, delicious restaurants, and boutique shops.
Perfect for mountain biking, hiking, writer's retreat, family adventure, and retreat getaways.

While the space has been remodeled, it is still a mountain home. The basement stays cool in summer without A/C, and we operate heat on very expensive propane and space heaters. We do ask guests to layer up, use blankets, and try to conserve energy.

Wildlife, including bear, mountain lion, moose, deer, and rodents are common. You may see an occasional spider, field mouse, etc. So if these concern you, our place may not be a good fit.

There is no smoking anywhere on the property or neighboring lands.
The top bunk is for kiddos only, so the unit sleeps 4 adults comfortably, or a family with extra room for littles.

Great location in the mountains. Pleasant mountain view off the back porch. No issues with the neighbors upstairs (wink face). Right by state park. Beautiful weather and scenery!

Great spot on Coal Creek Canyon

Very clean and neat property with all necessary amenities. We were visiting grandkids and it was a wonderful base of operations.Owners are nice and friendly. Highly recommended.

Beautiful drive

This property was just what we needed for our girls trip! It was a short drive to Golden Gate Canyon State Park and we enjoyed several hikes there. We also loved exploring Golden’s cute downtown. This property was clean and as described. The check-in and check-out process was seamless. Angela was responsive and a great host! I would recommend this place!

Great getaway spot !

The property and hosts are amazing ! Our family wanted a getaway before summer ended, something cool to go hike, and check out Golden/Denver area, This place definitely did not disappoint ! Overall is relaxing and peaceful, up in the mountain outside of town fresh air, great scenery, wildlife, I will definitely want to go back !!

Quiet mountain getaway

We had a wonderful stay here! The downstairs apartment was very clean and even more spacious than what we expected for our group of 5. The host was very responsive and check in was seamless. When we weren’t hiking we had fun exploring the town of Netherland that was close by. I would definitely recommend this stay to friends & fam!

A place to put my stuff.

I was in Colorado for a family wedding at the ALodge above Boulder. Traveling on my own, I went on day trips in the mountains and foothills. Largely only slept at the house but could have made more meals and spent time on the patio.

Cozy and peaceful in the foothills

This place is perfect for a quiet escape in the mountains! The beds are comfortable and the furnishings are lovely. The kitchenette had everything we needed. Hosts were great communicators.

Mountain Getaway

We had a great time at the Cozy Colorado Mountain Getaway! The facilities were very clean. The beds and pillows were so comfortable! We were concerned that there was no central air, but it turned out that central air was not needed. The nights cooled off beautifully! We needed a few extra items (bath towels, paper towels, and garbage bags), but the host ensured we got what we needed right away. We hope to come back in the future for another stay!! 10/10

Fantastic Mountain Getaway

This place is located in a mountainside neighborhood roughly a half hour drive to either Boulder or Denver making it a perfect place to stay in the mountains yet not too far from things to do. Very clean, spacious. Bathroom with toilet is separate from shower which we liked as it allowed us all to get ready quicker. Perfect place to escape the heat of the summer (we went in early August when Boulder and Denver were in the 90s and it was high 60s during the day in the mountains). Would definitely stay again!

Our quiet mountain neighborhood is located at the back door to nature's paradise - Golden Gate Canyon State Park.
We are just 30 mins from Golden and Boulder, yet nestled among the trees and mountains at 9100 feet. And we have the best neighbors, and wildlife!
Our guest suite is affordable, yet a nice size for families or small groups.
