Located on a quiet street and great wooded neighborhood right around the corner from private beach access directly between beautiful Tawas and Oscoda which have some of the most beautiful beaches, piers,restaurants,shopping,outdoor activities and scenery on the sunrise side! Enjoy sitting by the fire, barbecuing, biking, kayaking, boating, and going to the beach, no need to leave here! Pet Fee $100

Everything was so cute and very comfy. The cutest cabin, great little neighborhood, they were all friendly. Nice location. A short walkb to a nice beach.

This property is so clean! Located just around the corner from a gorgeous beach. Evetything was better than expected. Would stay again!

Peaceful lovely stay

The cabin is cozy and perfect for peace and tranquility. We loved the beach. Morning coffee in the fresh air. The cabin had everything you need for a very nice relaxing vacation. Ryan was great!

Wonderful getaway

The location was perfect, it was just a short walk to the nearest beach. The cottage sat back off the road far enough which gave us all the shade and privacy we wanted. The few times I messaged the host , he responded very quickly! Awesome stay, I totally recommend and plan on returning.

Quaint cottage in peaceful setting

Cottage was clean, beds were comfortable. It was small and while I was expecting that, I feel any more than 2 people would have been exceptionally tight, as we needed the second bedroom to store our luggage/coolers etc. The beach access points were small easements in the neighborhood. Location was central and convenient.

Cabin

Cabin is a walk down the street to Crescent Beach. Also a short drive to Tawas state park where you can take a tour of Tawas point lighthouse. The Cabin is clean and has all the basic necessities. Stove, fridge, microwave, BBQ grill and a firepit. Cabin is located in a woodsy area. Most important to me is it is pet friendly. Made great memories and definitely would stay again.

Chairs were uncomfortable. There was no ceiling and acorns hitting the roof and deck sounded like gun shots. Plus the beach was not in sight as pictures showed (four minute walk). Very disappointed. The cabin was alright other than the ceiling. One reason I wanted a two bedroom is so the wife would not wake me at 6 when she turned on the lights, with no ceiling she did.

Cute rustic cabin close by the beach

The cabin is cute but rustic and a bit dated. It was clean inside expect for when we opened the windows (I think no one has in a while). The kitchen and bathroom were clean with plenty of towels. The bedding was our big issue. The 2 beds are very small for 2 person. The pillows and mattresses where mediocre and the beds where very nosy. The listing says there’s access to 4 beaches but really, one is a lookout only, the closed beach is a 5 minutes walk. The others are just along the shore so accessible thru that first beach as well. East Tawas was fun to explore.

Should be listed as a hunting/.fishing cabin- not a vacation getaway.

Pet hair everywhere-had to clean upon arrival. Lake access not as listed-had to walk a long way. Musty, moldy smell. Toilet and bathroom sink leaked. Beds very uncomfortable. Carpet was dirty. Dirty windows. Vacuum cleaner had been attached incorrectly-had to fix. Driveway had large water puddle.

5 days. Nice clean cottage. We were there with 2 8 year old boys. We had two rainy days, which was a bit of a disappointment. But we went to Tawas bowling one of those days. And that was fun. It was quite comfortable and very quiet. Nice neighbors. A short walk to a small but very pleasant beach. We did not find the other beaches.

Not "Cheery"

This "cheery" cottage was anything, but cheery. We had to leave our shoes on because the carpet is so stained and dirty. The furniture is covered in dog hair. The beds are noisy and uncomfortable. You can't see out the windows because they're so dirty. The windows that do open don't stay open. The photos are definitely not up to date with the current condition. The host didn't see anything wrong with his place. We contacted VRBO directly and he didn't bother to return their call to him. Not very professional.

Great location cozy, rustic cottage

We liked that it was practical and felt like a home away from home. Some cabins feel like they’re trying to be hotels and that’s fine, but this felt more like a quiet, simplified home. The layout was practical and there were places to hang towels. It made good use of the available space. It’s located away from the busy street and between Tawas and Oscoda, making for a shorter drive to both places. Our only downside was the beds were small (they are listed as double — so I just thought in my head they were bigger) and a little soft for our tastes. Otherwise we loved it, played games, went to the beach, slept well. The air conditioning was a must and it worked well — maybe a little too well, we made it cold one night unintentionally! Will be nice once the ceiling is properly put in, but that didn’t bother us.

It was ok.

The property is located across the street from the lake. The lake access is a very small beach. I would say it’s mostly for taking your kayaks out, not hanging out on. The cabin itself is very basic. It had everything we needed to sleep there and hang out by the fire pit. Also there was some smores stuff there that we used and my kids were happy. When I first walked into the bathroom, there was someone else’s hair on the bathroom floor. Cleanliness I only gave two stars. The neighbors next to the cabin had somebody living in a camper in the driveway and they smoked weed every time we were outside. I have children and didn’t really want to expose them to that but what can I do. Beach towels were supposed to be provided and they weren’t. I had to go buy new ones because I expected towels to be there. However, the property manager was very nice and dropped off some towels for us after the fact. Overall, we didn’t pay much for this cabin and we got our moneys worth. It’s very quiet and peaceful at night with our fire (besides the weed)!
