The accommodations were very inviting, well decorated, modernized, and had every amenity we wanted. We felt welcome and enjoyed every minute. Location in quaint quiet Dolores is ideal, away from busy Durango or Ouray. Would recommend for anyone wanting to stay in the area.

The shower curtain was very dirty, the body wash was empty, we did love the decor and the beds were very comfortable. The powdered creamer was empty. The linen spray in each room was a very nice touch. The closeness to the Delores river was spot on. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us.

Thank you for your thoughtful and honest feedback. I’m so glad you enjoyed the décor, found the beds comfortable, and appreciated the little touches throughout the home. We love the location near the Dolores River as well! I also sincerely appreciate you bringing the shower curtain, body wash, and creamer to my attention. Those are details that should have been caught during our turnover before your arrival, and I have addressed them with housekeeping so they are checked more carefully going forward. Thank you again for staying with us and for taking the time to share both what you enjoyed and where we could improve. We truly appreciate the feedback and hope you enjoyed your time in Dolores!

This is a nice, roomy, light filled house located near Mesa Verde National Park and Canyons of the Ancients National Monument. Dolores is a nice riverside town with multiple dining options. We especially liked Kelly's and Montezuma Mexican Restaurant. There are more dining options in nearby Cortez. The host is super-responsive. Highly recommended!

Thanks so much for the sweet review! We’re thrilled you loved the home and our little town. The area’s in a bit of a drought at the moment, so things are looking extra “wild west rustic” outside—but we like to think it adds to the charm. 😉 Hope to host you again soon!

This place was just as advertised. Very clean, nice beds, very cute decor. It was just what we wanted for the two nights we stayed there. One big bonus, is this great Mexican restaurant was just 3 tenths of a mile from the house. It’s called Montezuma and we liked it so much we went there both nights. It was great to be able to walk home after the yummy margaritas we had.

Great Location and Host

We enjoyed our stay. We visited the National Parks in the area and enjoyed a beautiful drive to Telluride. If staying in summer, I would recommend bringing fans to help draw in the cool air at night and keep the back door curtains closed as there is not AC. House was clean and beds were comfortable. We will stay again if in the area!

Great base camp

We were looking for a home near Mesa Verde NP for the annular solar eclipse. The house was perfectly located for the NP. The location was good to visit Duango and drive the San Juan Skyway. The house met our expectations. The house was advertised. The neighborhood was quiet which made for a restful stay. If we ever were in the area I would definitely stay there again.

Delores, CO for Nephew's wedding

This house in downtown Delores was perfect for our wedding visit to the mountains nearby. Nice little coffee shop near by, excellent Mexican restaurant, and a wonderful Cider place where the wedding reception was held. Fishing all around... Good base to visit Durango, Telluride, and other mountain destinations. Would return - safe, clean, spacious.

For a two-night stay near Mesa Verde for us and our grandchildren, the house was perfectly adequate. We did discover that there were two sets of check out instructions which we tried to follow but they need to be updated to match each other. Yard was not freshly mown which did not give a good visual when we checked in and the dead grass clippings had not been swept up along with dirt and cobwebs on the front entrance detracted from the interior of the house. The interior was very well equipped. Beds were very comfortable. Everything appeared clean and neat, however I feel that the housekeeping charge was excessive. There were a couple of clumps of mud under the coffee table in the living room as well around the dining table. Everything else appeared in order. Because of all of the added charges, I do not expect to use Vrbo again.

Hi Liz, Thank you for your feedback and for choosing our home for your visit. We're happy to hear you found the home comfortable, clean, and well-equipped, and we hope you and your grandchildren enjoyed your time exploring the Mesa Verde area. Thank you for letting us know about the duplicate checkout instructions. We appreciate you pointing that out and will get those updated. We're also sorry the exterior wasn't looking its best when you arrived. The home was power washed about a month before your stay, but dust, cobwebs, and grass clippings can accumulate quickly in our rural setting. We'll be sure to share your comments with our maintenance and housekeeping teams. Thank you again for your helpful feedback. We truly appreciate it and are always looking for ways to improve the guest experience. Kind regards, Randia

We absolutely loved our stay at this home away from home property and look forward to coming back soon! Mountain views are spectacular and the photos are exactly as described and portrayed. Everything is quiet, you have a lot of space to yourself, and the neighbors are so friendly and courteous just as the owners. There’s a nice park approximately one block away with nearby restaurants and food market. You can expect lightning fast communication which will make your stay worry-free, comforting and really get to enjoy your time and vacation with your loved ones. They are just AMAZING! The warm and cozy home conveniently has everything you need to cook your own meals and my boys loved the board games provided. Very happy here! Thank you Randia for such a warm and memorable experience at your property!

Cozy home in a weird neighborhood

Really beautiful decorated home. I traveled with my family of 8 we were in the area for a wedding. Enjoyed the extra amenities like cold water bottles in the fridge and the basic cooking supplies. Didn't like that the thermostat was set by the owner and not able to be changed it was way stuffy in the house and leaving a window open wasn't an option since their isn't screens on all the windows. The neighborhood seemed quaint at first then the weirdos came out. We had a lady chanting at the top of her lungs one night and a man with a loud speaker creepy laughing and driving around the neighborhood another night. Definitely slept with chairs behind the doors. Mostly harsh lighting in the bedrooms so going to bed at different times couldn't happen. The doors all scraped the floor so their is no sneaking into the bathroom late night without the house knowing.

Welcome! We're a Colorado family who loves the outdoors and enjoys sharing one of our family's most treasured places with others. This home has been part of our family since my grandparents built it in the 1960s. Keeping this family home for future generations was important to us, and sharing it with guests has made that possible. We restored and updated the home ourselves with the help of family, and we hope you'll enjoy making memories here just as much as our family has over the years.

We love Dolores because it offers the perfect mix of small-town charm and world-class outdoor recreation. You can walk to Dolores River Park, local restaurants, breweries, and shops, or spend the day exploring Mesa Verde National Park, McPhee Reservoir, Phil's World, the Dolores River, and the San Juan National Forest. Whether you're hiking, mountain biking, fishing, boating, or simply enjoying the scenery, there's something here in every season. One of our favorite hidden gems is EsoTerra Ciderworks, an internationally award-winning cidery just minutes away that crafts incredible ciders using heirloom fruit from historic Southwest Colorado orchards. Whether you're here to relax or explore, Dolores is a wonderful place to slow down and experience the best of Southwest Colorado.

この宿泊施設の特徴

A thoughtfully restored family home where guests can relax, reconnect, and experience the best of Southwest Colorado.

Our goal wasn't to create a typical vacation rental—it was to preserve the warmth and character of a home that has brought our family together for generations while adding the modern comforts today's travelers appreciate. From handcrafted touches and comfortable gathering spaces to one of the larger private yards in town, we've tried to create a place that's as enjoyable to come home to as the adventures waiting outside.

Over the years, many guests have shared that they felt comfortable and welcomed here. Whether you're exploring the mountains, spending time on the water, or simply enjoying a quiet evening around the fire pit, we hope you'll leave with wonderful memories of your own.
