The view was beautiful from the back porch and surprisingly peaceful for Labor Day weekend. It's an older home which we loved with minor maintenance repairs needed. Family staying in the room with the double bed reported that it was very uncomfortable and other family tried it out to confirm. Loved the location and family would stay again if the double bed mattress was replaced.

Beautiful Getaway

I cannot say enough about the beauty of the property. We spent most of our time either on the screened in porch, under the tall pine trees in the hammocks, or at the water's edge kayaking.Communication was quick and all needs or questions answered promptly. Would absolutely book again.

Beautiful property

The location was great. The overlook of the property from the back porch was amazing. Check in was seamless. There are a few things: there was a bag of birdseed under the canopy when we arrived that was torn and birdseed was everywhere. Could have happened at anytime. We found a broom and swept that and the decks which must have succumbed to weather recently. The bathrooms had no hand towels and maybe 4 washcloths total. Bring your own beach towels. The fridge had not been wiped out. It felt as if no one had been there in awhile. A lot of cobwebs along the walls and showers. The tub had a crack that worried me every time I showered. The kitchen had plenty of plates and bowls. For planning and cooking purposes: There was no 9x13 pan or casserole dishes. No Tupperware or things with lids. Luckily we brought a fish fryer. Plenty of pots and flat pans. There is a nice firepit area. With the weather and timing we didn’t get a chance to light it. There are hammocks that had seen better days. Kayaks were provided, which is great. It said life jackets were required, but there was only one adult and one child available. Plenty of games, lawn games and dvds available. It was really a great space for our family and we did enjoy the stay.

Amazing home away from home!

We really enjoyed the stay at Cactus Cove. Our family got together to celebrate 4 birthdays, one being our daughter’s first birthday. Beds were comfy and the amenities were wonderful!

LakeHouse Weekend

Beautiful Location , perfect accomodations for my family! The water was high on our weekend - it covered the sandbar ... but enjoyed the 2 hammocks, sitting around the fire and making smores , and loved the screened in back porch ! Open floor plan was spacious - plenty of seating both inside and outside . Kitchen was well equipped with cookware ! We plan to come again ! Oh, and saw several eagles - so bring your binoculars to get an upclose view! One morning, an eagle was on the ground next to the water right in front of the house !

Fun Time!

Had a small family get together at Cactus Cove. We had a fantastic time! Enjoyed the chairs by the water, the fire pit, perfect weather for the screened in porch. The kitchen had everything we needed. Plenty of bowls and pitchers and pans. Even a great selection of cleaning products! Loved the seating arrangement options. We were able to play games and have a comfortable space for family karaoke. The full sized fridge/freezer in the carport was a great bonus. The place was very clean when we got there, too.

Amazing camp!!!

Our stay was perfect!! Perfect location and the man made beach was great especially with children. Very roomy for our whole family and our parents. Definitely will be booking again.

Family Fun with a Beautiful View

This property was perfect for our family! The view from the screened porch was beautiful! The rocking chairs were a plus too! The private beach entry allowed easy access to kayak. The camp is beautifully decorated! We enjoyed our stay! Thanks!

We celebrated our sons first birthday here & it was beautiful. There was an issue where we were double booked accidentally but Lance was able to make things work with all parties. I was skeptical afterwards but after walking through the front door all our worries went away. The house is exactly like the pictures and we really appreciated it being kid friendly. The things left for guests to use were a huge plus too. There's outdoor games, chairs, life jackets, kayaks, and other things there for everyone to use. All the bedding and towels were changed with clean ones & the only thing we had to really bring was food. We are already planning our next trip back & a longer stay. This was one of the best places we've booked and stayed at.

Birthday get away

We surprised my husband for his bday and all the kids and grandkids came. It was more than you could have asked for. The home was beyond incredible and met every expectation plus some. The water and beach was so clean and relaxing. Thank you Mr Lance for everything.

Highly Recommend

The property was wonderful and very clean. We had a great time! Lance was very easy to reach. The home was full of more amenities than we have had at past homes rented. The kids enjoyed the yard so much and the adults loved the screened in porch to sit and relax. We will definitely recommend to others.

Relaxing Retreat

We had a wonderful stay at Cactus Cove. Loved the rustic charm of the camp and the property is just gorgeous. Home was just as pictured on the VRBO site. We loved the fire pit, hammock and beach area, but the screened in porch was just lovely for relaxing! A nice weekend getaway!!
