Devastating experience
We booked this property for the final stay of our month long visit to Thailand. Relying upon the VRBO photos & description, we looked forward to a relaxing, enjoyable, attentive, & beautiful experience. We did not get that.
We notified the owner of our issues and displeasure in writing, including photos. Upon arrival, we did not have bath towels. Water leaked through the window in the main bedroom and onto the floor near the bathtub, which is right next to the door of that bedroom. We notify the owners that we did not have hot water, and that there was very low water pressure. A couple of days later we added more information and left the location, further explaining that:
The property's condition and maintenance fell short of the standards we anticipated. The VRBO photos did not match the current state of the property. The upstairs deck was unsafe with loose and uneven planks, water and air came in through the windows of the home, the flooring in the main living area was loose, the outdoor projector (advertised as an item for a great night time entertainment) did not function and there was no hot water in the sinks in the master bathroom. Moreover, the VRBO ad claim to have a staff of three including two chefs and a housekeeper. In actuality, there was only one person working at the property.
The owner falsely stated that it was normal for the sinks not to have hot water in Thailand, that maintenance was in progress and that we didn’t need 3 staff!
