The Luana Waikiki Hotel is one of the premier hotels buildings in the Fort DeRussy area. The hotel was originally built in 1971, designed by the architectural firm Gensler. The hotel was fully renovated in 2004 and features modern, Hawaiian-inspired décor and offers guests a variety of amenities, including a rooftop pool, fitness center. Many rooms have since undergone further upgrades and renovations to ensure comfort and additional modern amenities.

Fantastic 15th floor suite. Check in was smooth, staff very friendly and helpful. Everything was clean and smelled good. Roomy, 2 balcony’s facing different directions-a city view and a park looking on through to the ocean. A safe in the closet to keep valuables, pool and hotel amenities convenient, close to everything along Kalākaua Ave-shops, Biki bike stations to rent all around the city, restaurants, excursions. Easy walk through the park out to the public beach. Overall a positive experience and would stay there again! Thank you.

This condo was perfect in every way! They thought of all the right touches to make our stay as convenient as possible. They even had a full-size cooler we could take to the beach! The condo was spotless and looked exactly like it does in the photos…And those views are just breathtaking!

We spent 4 nights. The 15th floor view was stunning. Check-in at the hotel desk was easy and the desk staff was helpful when we had questions. The unit was immaculate and the bathroom was roomy. Lots of counter space for our stuff. And plenty of closet and drawer space so we could put away our suitcases. Bed was huge and comfortable. The property manager responded quickly to one request. Aspects that were less than great: Kitchen was equipped OK but with the expectation, we think, that we would be eating out a lot. (The only kitchen sponge was 1.5 x 1.5 inches.) The weather was good so we didn’t spend any time watching TV. But the TV setup was dated – cable TV stations, DVD player and seemingly no streaming capability. Also, the floor of the bathtub/shower was curved, not flat, and there were no grab-bars, making for uncertain footing. (We hunted down a bathtub mat under the sink.) Finally, the door between the bedroom and living room/kitchen stuck badly and needed adjustment.

Great location

The suite was acceptable but could have used some additional attention to cleaning. We have stayed at this location in the past and love the location, lots of restaurants and sightseeing within walking distance. The staff is very pleasant and helpful.

Park setting with wonderful views

This is very interesting that you would say it needs cleaning. Your response to me when I checked in on you the day after arrival, was....In your very own words "Thanks for checking in! Everything is great!" So I am wondering why you didn't mention anything to me then??? I take my reviews very seriously, and I try to rectify any issues when they arise. Your only issue was the HDMI was plugged in the wrong place. Which I resolved immediately. We had a couple of conversations in which you did not mention to me anything about the cleanliness of my property. Again you never said anything other than "Thanks for checking in! Everything is great!" I do have pictures that my cleaner takes after every cleaning. My only problem is that not only did you clog my toilet with tons of toilet paper, in which a plumber is on there way to fix it. But you also stained my sheets in the master bedroom with blood. This property is beautiful. Very clean, and equipped with everything you need to enjoy your vacation. You are close to the beach, restaurants and shopping. The views are beautiful. If we get the opportunity to come back, I would definitely stay here again. Thank you for perfect 45th anniversary.

Excellent place to say in Honolulu

We stayed here for 7 days and were impressed with the cleanliness and QUIET of this 15th floor apartment. I almost felt like I was "at home". Excellent views of Honolulu and the Waikiki beach! Look forward to coming back to this apartment again!

Perfect condo

This condo is perfect for a vacation getaway. It is located in an amazing part of Waikiki with views of the mountains and the beach and within walking distance of all amenities. Mark was very responsive to any issues we encountered and took immediate steps to help. Would highly recommend staying at Mark’s condo. You won’t be disappointed!
