Forget your worries at this specious and serene space. Forbidden retreat is your perfect Smoky Mountain family getaway. We are conveniently located close to the interstate and away from any steep roads. Just 15 minutes from Sevierville and 20 minutes from Dollywood, you’ll get all the convenience without dealing with the dreaded traffic of the Parkway. Bring the pets to enjoy the fully fenced yard while you relax on the wrap around porch with amazing views of beautiful English Mountain. The space is perfect for large families, reunions, and small events. Depending on the event details, a fee does apply. All the rooms are very large and open, but there’s still room to spread out and separate when needed. For those of you who like to cook, you cannot ask for a better kitchen in a Smoky Mountain rental. It’s truly a Chef’s kitchen. When you aren’t out enjoying the local attractions, you’ll still feel like you are at one when you stay at Forbidden Retreat. We have supplied all the amenities you can ask for and the house is even equipped with a 14 foot projector screen for streaming your favorite movies, or bring your gaming console and enjoy that as well. Don’t forget to tour Forbidden Caverns (just 2 minutes away), visit famous Bush Brothers Beans, or take a dip in beautiful Douglas Lake (we offer lake adventure trips on a boat or can recommend local rental companies.

***Pets are welcome, but there is a fee. There is an option when booking to include the fee for one animal at $150 for the stay. However, we have had issues with the website having technical errors regarding this fee. Feel free to contact us with any questions regarding this.***

House was perfect!!! We had a party of 15 people for a wedding and everyone loved it and enjoyed all of the amenities. Hosts were supper nice. Would definitely recommend!!!

Family vacation

We had a family of 8 adults and 7 children ranging from 2-12. We had our family Christmas there and it was the perfect place to stay. The hosts provided everything you could ever need and even was kind enough to leave us some s’mores supplies which the kids enjoyed. The home is very clean and just wish we would have had more time to stay.

Listing Doesn’t Do The Property Justice

The house and grounds were perfect for our visit. It was just the two of us with our two small fur babies. Obviously we had a lot more room than we actually needed, but we felt very pampered and indulged by all of the space. The weather was cool during our visit, so while we didn’t utilize the outdoor pool, we did use the hot tub every morning. We’ve stayed in many vacation rentals, and the pool and hot tub at this Dandridge rental were the cleanest and best maintained I’ve ever experienced. The backyard is HUGE, and for those potential guests who may be concerned about gaps in the fencing where dogs might be able to escape, worry not. The property owners have done a beautiful job of insuring the perimeter is secure without negatively impacting the views. And the views are spectacular: every morning we watched the sun rise over the mountain from the hot tub, and every evening we viewed the moon rise over that same ridge from the upstairs wrap-around porch. The hosts have really thought of everything guests might want/need when it came to stocking the house. We cooked every night we were there, and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed and then some. Sevierville, Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and the GSM National Park were among our daily destinations, and we liked our location. It still felt remote but also convenient. We visited at peak leaf-peeping season when many school children were on their fall break, so Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg were packed.

Beautiful home and amazing stay

As beautiful as the pictures are for this listing, they do not do it justice. The home is amazing and spacious. Family of 6 and had space for everyone to enjoy. The amenities are next level. The game room provided lots of fun and great quality time. The theater area was great. My grandson loved the pool and playground area. The property itself was so peaceful but not too far to get to attractions. From the toddler to the adults, we all loved it.

HOME SWEET HOME!

This home was absolutely wonderful! The wrap around porch was like out of a movie. Loved enjoying our coffees and tea in the morning. Anywhere you sat ,mountain views. They litterlty thought of everything and did not spare anything! Over and beyond the property was amazing. The pool was great and the temp was perfect. Beds were comfortable and we loved all of the extra throw blankets and stuff. Decor was perfection. Of course the big screen was a hit watching family movies and jamming on xbox and stuff. No complaints about this house. We will be making it an annual thing and Iryna the host was absolutely wonderful! Property was perfect!! We had a nice time. Pool was wonderful on those 95 degree days. We never opened hot tub. My only issue was the pet/ property policies. We where on are way there and we couldn't get the key code until i agreed with these 2 policies/ waivers. It would be helpful to take care of all this book work before starting out on a vacation. I understand the reason for the waivers but I believe it could of been addressed within the 3 days before we arrived. The property is wonderful

Family trip to the Smokies & Douglas Lake for sons baseball tournament

This property has everything you could need whether staying for a few days or weeks. The hosts attention to small details is noticed as soon as you walk in. Great location gives you the feeling of being far from everything but just a few minute drive to grocery and other stores. We enjoyed the wrap around covered porch and lazy afternoons in the pool & on the sun deck. Huge projection screen in the basement was entertaining as well. We got to see a bear crossing through the neighbors property and deer/turkey in the back yard. Great place to stay. Highly recommend staying here.

Fantastic!

Absolutely awesome place to stay. We are excited to go back again. Everyone wants to stay here again. We had twin babies with us and had anything we could possibly need which made the stay even better. Great host. Great fun. Great location.

Family gathering

My husband and I planned a family gathering and found this beautiful home. This place has everything we needed including the beautiful Mountain View’s. Because the host allows pets, we were able to bring our dogs with us. The backyard had plenty of space for them to chase bugs and run around. I am very appreciative for the dog necessities such as food and water bowls! The home had plenty of space for the entire family to enjoy the evening. We are so thankful that we chose this place. Communication with the host was also quick and easy.

Great host and amazing property!

Great place for the whole family! Iryna was a great hostess and was quick to respond to any messages. The house was amazing!! It was fully stocked with everything you would need and more! The location of the house is perfect- close enough to the tourist things without all the traffic and noise. It was so peaceful. We brought our dogs and she had everything needed for them from treats, dog bowls, crates and toys for them to play with. The whole family enjoyed all the amazing amenities that the house had to offer. My little one loved the playground, and we all loved the arcade games, hot tub, fire pit and theatre room. Thank you for your outstanding hospitality and we hope to come back soon!

Absolutely lovely home plenty of space and lots to do. We had a wonderful stay. There was so much to do that I wish I planned more time to stay there instead of going to all the regular tourist attractions. About 30 minutes from Pigeon Forge Lake Douglas is not far if you like water activities I would definitely rent a boat

Summer Get Away

Our family had a wonderful stay. The pictures and property description were spot on. The location provided us a private retreat with family. We felt welcomed immediately; our hostess, Iryna left us small gift to welcome us for the week. Our kids were able to enjoy playing outside, swimming in the pool and watching movies in the theater room. Everyone enjoyed the fire pit at the end of each day. The entire family enjoyed meals, and playing games on the porch. Be sure to add the Forbidden Caverns to your itinerary, less than 5 minutes from the property and enjoyed by all. Iryna was a great hostess and responded quickly to the few questions we had. Thanks for a wonderful time!!

Amazing

This was by far one of the hest properties ever, it was clean and beautifully decorated, all the questions I had the responses were within 5-10 minutes or less! There were 13 of us in all and we all fit and slept comfortably! Also the views from the porch peaceful and breathtaking! Definitely will book again!

This was the most beautiful home and my husband and our family truly enjoyed our stay. We did not want to leave! If you are reading this review, stop right here, trust the pictures and my word, and hit “BOOK NOW” before it’s too late! I promise you that you will not regret it. Iryna was amazing and made sure we had everything we needed. She also decorated for the Easter holiday with such beautiful decorations that allowed us to still celebrate Easter in a home away from home. There was plenty of room, plenty of beds, and even more beds that roll out, should you need extra. The cute pet supplies really touched our heart and made us wish we brought out furry family as well. This home was just what we were looking for: a warm home away from home and if we return, we will definitely book here again! Easy access to pigeon forge. The theatre room is so comfy and there were so many games and activities to choose from. Thank you for your amazing hospitality and for sharing your beautiful home with our family! Amazing Property.

The property is in an amazing location. Even with neighbors close and off in the distance, the sounds of nature still remain. We were able to have our wedding onsite and had perfect weather. The entertainment in the house was great to keep the kids occupied the whole weekend. Definately recommend for anyone to book in the future. Host was very helpful with anything we needed. The house has everything you could ever ask for.
