I am from Costa Rica and have been living in San José for more than 20 years; I currently live in the district of Uruca, I am a microbiologist and I work at the National University of Costa Rica. I love sports such as ping-pong and beach volleyball, watching movies and going to the theater. In my free time, I like to unwind at the beach, and I also enjoy spending quality time with my children and close family.

The property is divided into two levels: on the first floor there is a living room with flat screen TV, a half bathroom and dining room for 4 people, as well as a fully equipped kitchen with appliances and cooking utensils, and a laundry room available with washer and dryer. The second level features a bedroom with king bed, closet and beautiful partial mountain views, full bathroom, an office with desk and chair, and another living room with comfortable recliners and large Smart TV with streaming service included.

You can also enjoy internet access and board games. For your convenience, the accommodation offers basic bathroom amenities, hair dryer and hot water.

The house is located in Rio Oro in Santa Ana, a very safe and quiet residential area in the west side of San Jose. The property is very accessible to different points of the city, making it an ideal option for those interested in exploring the heart of Santa Ana.

Your stay will be even more comfortable, thanks to nearby services, such as a wide variety of shopping centers, specialty restaurants, supermarkets, fast food chains, banks and health centers.

A short 12 km drive from the Juan Santamaria International Airport (SJO) is all it takes to arrive at the property. As you will notice, its unbeatable location is ideal to comfortably explore the main city's tourist and shopping attractions, such as the Lindora area, just 15 minutes away, one of the most outstanding commercial and industrial areas of the city.

Another nearby attraction is the Santa Ana Park, less than 1.5 km away, a space for recreation and sports, where both locals and tourists can enjoy a children's playground, running track, soccer and basketball courts, etc.

If you are a nature enthusiast, at only 15 km away you can't miss a visit to Pico Blanco, a wonderful mountain of volcanic origins and the fourth highest mountain of the Escazu hills. Another nearby destination is Piedras Negras in the canton of Mora, a quaint town located less than 30 km away, where you can enjoy a relaxing hike or bike ride through beautiful landscapes.

The Carara National Park and the Irazu, Barva and Poas volcanoes are also excellent options to connect with the natural beauty of Costa Rica. In order to reach any of these destinations, it is necessary to drive for about 2 hours, depending on traffic conditions. Although if you are looking for a bit of sun and sea, we recommend visiting Playa Jaco, a little more than 1.5 hours from the house.
