The host was so friendly and helpful, and the space was spotless. The only wrinkle was the train to get to/from the property into Munich. It was frequently delayed, even canceled. One day we even had to take an Uber into the city. It's also not near anything walkable. (The grocery is a train stop away, if it's running!) If you're here to enjoy the surroundings of Aying, I'd recommend a car for sure. That would make for a much more pleasant stay. The property itself is lovely!

Amazing apartment for a stay in Munich

Giving the apartment a full 5 star rating. Stayed here for a short break to see Munich. Very clean, modern and practical apartment which suited our needs perfectly. Excellent communication with Rupert & Yuliya before the and throughout. They really are fantastic hosts.A short walk (6-7mins) takes you to the S-bahn and links to Munich and everything the beautiful city has to offer, and a short drive to the small town of Aying for a brilliant place to eat and drink - huge portions!! We rented a car and the apartment is an easy 30mins drive from the airport.Would thoroughly recommend and hope to visit again soon.

Sehr schöne, geräumige und saubere Wohnung. Sehr ruhig. Eigener Stellplatz für Pkw (allerdings nicht überdacht). Da im Kellergeschoss gelegen, zwar angenehm kühl bei sommerlichen Temperaturen, dafür aber keine Aussicht.

Quiet stay outside of Munich

This is an excellent place to stay if you want to get out of the city. The apartment was very clean, and check in was a breeze. It is definitely nice to stay in the countryside, but one must keep the distance in mind if traveling to Munich. The host showed us a real nice brewery located in the small town, and was always available to help us out with anything we needed.

Munich visit

Great property about 40 minutes via tram from Munich. Very easy access to transit and a bonus to be in a quieter area after sight seeing and Octoberfest. Grocery store and restaurants/breweries one stop away in Aying. Rupert was very helpful with transit tips, etc. Definently would stay again. Thanks for a great visit. G & N

Lovely stay for a backpacking family without a car

Our stay in Durnhaar was lovely! Our host was excellent and very thorough when we checked in. The apartment was perfect for our needs, very clean and had everything we needed. We were a 9 minute walk to the train which took us into Munich in about 20 min. Loved seeing the countryside and being in a quiet spot at night. Also, shout out to La Bella Sicilia Restaurant right by the Höhenkirchen-Siegertsbrunn station. Fabulous food!! We would definitely stay here again!

Superschöne Ferienwohnung

Diese Ferienwohnung ist superschön: sie ist total sauber, hochwertig und geschmackvoll eingerichtet, sehr ruhig gelegen und riesengroß. Uns hat es an nichts gefehlt. Die Wohnung ist so wie im Inserat beschrieben. Die Vermieter sind super nett und haben uns viele wertvolle Tipps bzgl. der öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel, Ausflugsziele und Restaurants bzw. Biergärten gegeben. Wir können die Wohnung absolut weiterempfehlen und kommen sehr gerne wieder.

ABOVE and BEYOND

Rupert went above and beyond his role as a host. He helped us in navigating the train system (we saved so much money), made sure we arrived safely (that was quite the feat), and checked in to make sure our experience in Germany was better than expected (by offering tailored suggestions based on our likes). Best, a VERY short walk to the public transportation system. You will not be disappointed.

Ottimo appartamento per famiglie

Ampio, pulito, silenzioso, negozi nelle vicinanze, Straßenbahn a 5 min si raggiunge il centro di Monaco in mezz'ora. Con l'auto ci si muove agevolmente verso Chiemsee piuttosto che Augusta o Ratisbona. Torneremo volentieri, wir werden gern wieder zurückkommen. Ciao

Great for an extended stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our 5 nights in our apartment in Dürnhaar. It was just a short walk to the S-Bahn to ride into the center of München and a 5-minute drive to Aying to a great Biergarten. Our hosts were wonderful and our apartment was well stocked, clean, and comfortable. We were also happy that we could park right in front of the house.
