Charming Beach Bungalow in the Heart of it All - Lottie's Place

Welcome to Lottie's Place, a gorgeous renovation to a charming beach cottage! Enjoy beach living at beautiful Oak Island with all the amenities.
The natural light from the sliding glass door entry shows off the LVP flooring, vaulted ceilings, a gorgeous kitchen with tiled backsplash and a tiled tub/shower combo! Enjoy breakfast on the oversized front deck, then unwind and make memories around the private fire pit in the back yard at night.
And did we mention the location? You'll be right in the middle of everything! Direct beach access (.8 miles, 10 minute walk), close to Publix, the splash pad at Middleton Park, and just 3 blocks from the Oak Island Nature Center.
We're beach bums ourselves so every detail has been thought of: linens, beach chairs, bicycle cruisers and boogie boards are included at no cost. We also offer a golf cart to rent with free parking included.
We're dog friendly and welcome your four-legged friends with no additional fee!

Thank you so much for a lovely stay in Oak Island. Phil was very responsive and communicated with us throughout the trip. My wife loved the “cute little place,” and it was the perfect size for us and our little Cavalier.The property was quiet, safe, clean, and had everything we needed. The amenities were well thought out and made our stay very comfortable. We enjoyed spending time at the beach and visiting friends for some great dinners.Overall, we had an excellent stay and would definitely recommend this property, especially for anyone looking for a quiet spot in the heart of the island that is still tucked away enough to avoid the hustle and bustle of vacation crowds.

Fantastic stay. The hosts were kind, responsive, and easier to reach than some of my own family members. You can hear the ocean from the front porch, which was an added soothing bonus. Considered sleeping out there with the squirrels. The only down-side was the dryer, which sounded mildly dramatic as it did its job, but it worked and we were appreciative.Would 100% stay again. Already looking forward to it. Don’t overthink this property, people, just book it. You will be glad you did!

We absolutely loved our stay! The location was perfect. The beach, the waterway, restaurants, coffee shops, ice cream, and grocery stores were all just minutes away. We loved how convenient everything was and never had to drive far to get anywhere.The house was spotless when we arrived and looked just like the pictures. The beds were comfortable, and we felt right at home from the minute we walked in.The owner was wonderful to work with. Communication was excellent from start to finish, and he truly went above and beyond to make sure we had a great vacation. You can tell he really cares about his guests.We also loved all the little extras that made our stay even better. There was a clothes iron, hairdryer, both a drip coffee maker and a Keurig, a frozen drink machine, and even a fire pit. We rented their golf cart, and having the included residential beach parking was a total game changer! They also had beach chairs, boogie boards, an umbrella, a beach cart, and two bikes ready to use. Those little touches saved us time, money, and packing space.A few of our favorite places nearby were OKI Coffee House for our morning coffee, Tropical Treats for the best banana splits, Kai Joe’s for tacos, and OKI BBQ House (don’t skip the mac and cheese!). Everything was so close, which made our week even more enjoyable.If you’re thinking about booking this place, do it! It was a great value, in a fantastic location, and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. We’re already

Quiet and Wonderful Oasis

A great place to getaway and relax. Far enough away from the popular tourist attractions but easily accessible by golf cart/car. The ride to the beach was super convenient as well. Very clean place and comfortable. The owners are very approachable and willing to help if anything comes up.Truly enjoyed our stay.

Excellent!

The owner was so kind. We loved our stay. The home was comfy and the front porch was great for coffee in the am. We also rented his cart and it was the best way to get around the island. We plan to go back in October for fishing. Highly recommend.

Restful vacation

We enjoyed our week at Lottie’s place! It was a perfect location and lovely home. The available beach supplies in the shed and the outdoor shower to use to get off all the sand were wonderfully helpful! We appreciate the host’s kindness and quick replies as well! Thanks again! Perfect quiet beach getaway!

Perfectly located, quite private (as compared to most other beach rentals), and just the right size for us. Property owner is wonderful, very attentive and responsive. Check in and out was a breeze. We would DEFINITELY select this property again.

Great vacation home

We had a great stay at this property. Location was great, in a quiet area, and a short distance to the beach. We loved the accessibility of groceries/restaurants close by. We had two complaints/things of interest upon arrival but contacted Phil and he was quick to address/help us through it. Overall great stay and enjoyed the area. Would visit Oak Island and stay here again. Thanks!

Lovely stay

We enjoyed our time at Lottie’s Place. The location is ideal and we enjoyed our walks to the beach, the playground and the nature park (on the intercostal). Our dogs loved being included in these activities and we are always appreciative when they can join us on vacation. Phil was excellent at communicating and checking in and out was a breeze. The house has wonderful natural light and a fun, beach vibe.

Perfect vacay stay

Definitely a hidden gem that was well worth the stay. Away from the hustle, but close enough to all. The house was very family friendly. I believe we spent as much time sitting outside as inside, even in the heat of the day. Our girls loved having the bikes to ride. So glad we had the opportunity to stay here!!

Cozy beach bungalow on Oak Island

We had a fantastic vacation at this cozy and quaint beach bungalow very close to the intercoastal waterway on Oak Island. Was able to launch my boat six blocks away. Very convenient access to everything in the area. This old house from the late sixties was very nostalgic and all the updates to the interior was very well done ... comfortable, clean and relaxing. Will definitely go back again.

Vacation for the Walk

We like the location of the home. It is close to everything on the island. The house is nicely decorated and match the pics. It was handy having the high speed internet for work and the tv selections for the family. The owners were very helpful and quick to respond to any questions. We loved the island and the beautiful weather.

Perfect getaway

This is a great little cottage for couples or small families. The open floor plan makes it feel spacious and the yard in the back is great for dogs with no worries about the road. The neighbors we met were very friendly. We enjoyed the fire pit as well. The home owners are wonderful to work with. We will return frequently.

Nice quiet neighborhood!

My husband and I wanted to get away for the holiday weekend. Lottie’s place was quaint and comfortable. We were close to the nature trail, intracoastal waterway and a few blocks from Publix. We did not need to contact Phil as his instructions were concise and complete. We enjoyed our stay!
