Sitting on 10 completely private acres bordering the George Washington National Forest, you will find zero neighbors in sight—only total silence, towering trees, and wandering wildlife. A PRIVATE WELLNESS RETREAT Unlike standard rentals, Chateau Solace features a complete private spa and fitness circuit, making it the ultimate destination for relaxation and recovery:

CHEF’S KITCHEN & GATHERING We designed this home for groups who love to cook and eat together. The heart of the villa is the open-concept kitchen featuring Double Wall Ovens (perfect for holiday meals), a massive butcher-block island, and a cooktop facing the living area so the chef is never left out of the conversation.

THE ARCHITECTURE & LIVING ZONES The home’s unique "Silo" architecture creates a dramatic interior with soaring cathedral ceilings and floor-to-ceiling glass walls that bring the outdoors in.

Main Living Room: Features a stone wood-burning fireplace and panoramic nature views.

Lower Level Den (The Kids’ Zone): A separate cozy living space downstairs with soft rugs, toys, and a Smart TV—perfect for letting the kids watch a movie while adults relax upstairs.

Outdoor Living: Relax on the stone terrace featuring a luxury cabana daybed and chaise loungers.

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful property. Communication with hosts was excellent; very responsive. Our pup enjoyed lots of off-leash walks since we had so much property to ourselves. We enjoyed the views of the foliage through the many, many windows. The house itself was very comfortable.

The home and grounds are beautiful- just as advertised. Very neat and clean. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped with everything you could need. We really enjoyed the peace and quiet, especially while in the hot tub. I would highly recommend.

Chose this VRBO because it was pet friendly but also in the vicinity of the national park. We decided to elope in the park with our family and then used our Vrbo to have dinner with everyone to celebrate. Very nice property, the fenced in yard was perfect for our pup to be apart of the celebration!

The property and house are absolutely gorgeous! The rooms are open, beautifully decorated and filled with natural light. The view from every window is stunning and the house is well stocked and private. The house location is fantastic - 15 minutes from Shenandoah River National Park and 25 minutes to the Front Royal entrance of Shenandoah National Park. It exceeded our expectations and we will definitely return!

Fantastic mountain escape

We had a wonderful stay with 2 families (including 3 kids under 4 and under). The house is so beautiful & there is such great space for hanging out and relaxing. In particular, it was great to have the 2 bedrooms and open area on the first floor, 2nd floor with great space to hang out and socialize together, & 3rd floor with a stunning primary suite. It was just what we needed to spend quality time with friends and soak in the peaceful mountain air.

Great place ! Beautiful and comfortable ! We didn’t like the Hindu Idol that was on the mantel. We are a Christian family. We put the idol in the utility room while we were there. Overall beautiful place !

We had a fantastic stay at this lovely home. From the moment we arrived, we could tell it was exceptionally clean and cozy, with so many thoughtful touches and surprises throughout the house. The kitchen was well-stocked, and there were plenty of amenities that made our stay feel extra special.We especially enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub after a day of exploring, and our dog loved having the fenced yard to run and play safely. It was the perfect spot for both relaxation and fun.Highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a comfortable, welcoming place to stay. We would absolutely come back again!

Wonderful house

We loved the huge windows, fireplaces and so much open space. There were several places to hike nearby, we especially enjoyed the trail along the Shenandoah River.

We eloped in Shenandoah National Park and used the house to host an intimate wedding celebration. The house is absolutely gorgeous and exceeded our expectations. The rooms are all beautifully decorated and the place is stocked. I highly recommend using this house as a “venue” for your small wedding / elopement. Hosts were also very communicative. I do want to note that check-out procedures, including timing, were not consistent. I recommend updating all procedures so that timing, etc. aligns to prevent future guests from having uncomfortable interactions with the cleaners. Otherwise, we had an absolutely amazing stay and hope to return one day!

Beautiful home surrounded by nature

My family enjoyed this beautiful property with an abundance of windows showcasing the surrounding trees and nature. We loved venturing out to the nearby trails, state park, scenic Skyline Drive, and beautiful Christendom College. But we also spent a good portion of our time at the house. The rain did not stop us from making the most of the well-supplied kitchen and the comfort of the living areas where we played games and enjoyed family time.

Amazing stay and great house and location

The property was clean and everything was labeled for us to help us find everything. They had toys for my small children to play with which they loved. Outside the property everything was clean as well. Enjoyed our stay with no issues.

Great Thanksgiving gathering place.

This property was the perfect place for our large family to gather for Thanksgiving. The house is beautiful, well stocked and well appointed. Perfect Girl's Weekend

Fifteen years since we had all been under one roof and our location could not have been more perfect. The main floor's open plan allowed for lounging during rainstorms, dinner on the porch on a warm spring night and plenty of room to cook and enjoy each other's company. Sleeping arrangements were comfortable and fit early and late risers alike. We took advantage of the local wineries, a few easy hikes, the infrared sauna and the hot tub. Lyndsey and Amanda were very responsive to our questions and inquiries. Thank you for a wonderful time and sharing your home to reconnect.

Nice getaway

Clean, modern and isolated getaway. There is a dirt/gravel road to get to the property so just keep that in mind; had no issues getting to the property. Nice stay!

Better than advertised! First of all, the house is immaculate. A review I read before our stay said it was the cleanest rental they ever encountered. I thought it was a weird thing to say and probably an exaggeration, but oh my goodness! I challenge anyone to find a crumb or speck of dust in this place. AND they rent to dogs! If I lived in the area I would seriously hire their cleaning service.The property is super secluded. The location and fenced yard made it ideal for our dog. We could relax and eat on the deck or in the gazebo knowing he couldn’t stray too far. The hot tub and sauna were wonderful, but the real surprise was the shower in the master bath. I need one!The owners were both accommodating and easy to communicate with. We will definitely be back.

As a family, we often use it for yoga retreats, mountain biking getaways, and gathering extended family. A lot of love and updates have gone into this property and we hope you enjoy the choices we made to bring this dream to life. The location is approximately 25 minutes from town (Front Royal and nearby interstate 66), the property is at the back of our 10 acre plot of land, set off a gravel road, with no sounds of traffic or other humans! An easy 90 minute commute from Northern VA / DC and very close to beautiful vineyards, festivals and everything the Shenandoah Valley has to offer.

Great for anyone who loves to cook, write, read, relax…. Completely updated with mid century modern decor influences, the space is stocked with cozy blankets and thoughtful, well-appointed touches. Only 5 minutes to public boat landing on the Shenandoah River where you can kayak, canoe, SUP or tube float right down to Shenandoah River State Park! Treat yourself to the stargazing from every oversized window, scenic viewing level in this property. There are 65” or 55” TVs on each level.

Step outdoors in the landscaped patio and enjoy bird songs and zero automobile noise. Take in the tree top canopy from the brand new hot tub. Take advantage of the nearby wineries or caverns. Or explore the numerous hiking trails or even bike or hike the property itself. There’s flat and sloped topography for yard games or simply gathering in the beauty that is the Blue Ridge Mountains.

The hot tub is brand new and regularly maintained.

We’ve upgraded the remote internet to Starlink for working remotely or streaming the best app TV has to offer (also some blue ray /DvDs available mostly for kids).

The nighttime stargazing cannot be matched with the position the house on the top of the ridge and the pano views from the top floor loft bedroom.

Beautiful shaded outdoor dining and lounge areas. Screened in areas for “buggy” months are also available.

You can lounge in complete solitude (no neighbors for miles) or walk straight off the property to link up to trails adjacent to the property.

The home is smart enabled and all electronics are loaded with latest apps.

The birds or sun shine and sing brightly on this property. The downstairs bedrooms have something to offer for those who prefer not to rise with nature.

Last but not least, this property has hosted so many wonderful people. Yoga retreats, surprise engagements, writers finishing their best work to date. A lot of wonderful people and love have been attracted to this space and we are grateful to the goodness that keeps filling these walls.
