This is our fourth stay in one of John’s cabins. The cozy cottage is definitely our favorite for the king sized bed and wraparound porch with incredible views. Truly appreciate the ability to get away with our dogs in a secluded space only 10 minutes away from amenities. Highly recommend to anyone considering a stay.

My family and I had a wonderful weekend stay at the Cozy Cabin.The weather and leaves along with view of the river were beautiful. The cabin beautiful with plenty of wood for indoor and outdoor fires. We hope to return in the future.

Loved the place..but the lockbox on gate is almost impossible to open..took us over 20 minutes in and out..wont open easy AT ALL. Only other complaint was that i drove over 1000 miles..exhausted..time for bed and realized we have to make our beds! ..ceiling light in kitchen was out so it was kinda dark..but loved eveything else!!!

Beautiful location. Equipped with all we needed. Decks and cabin were perfect for R and R. Very close to Skyline drive and hiking. We truly enjoyed ourselves.

Breath taking views. Greeted with a Bald Eagle perched just off the patio. Very quiet and serene location. Host was quickly responsive to questions. Entry to the property road was difficult and potentially dangerous. Very sharp turn right after a turn on the state road. Highly recommend that people use the graveled area on the left side of the road. Obtaining the gate key tricky but it might be the fact that I was not familiar with the lockbox. Definitely we would return to the property if our future travel brought us to the area

I willl recommend the cabin to everyone family and friends visiting the Bentonville area. The cabin is clean and comfortable. We had breakfast every morning on the back deck. I am ready for my next visit.

This place re-centers my wife and I. Even with full electronic access to the outside world, we really have no desire to partake in it as the natural surroundings just resets our souls. Thanks again John for a wonderful stay!

VA Vacation

We enjoyed our time at Cozy Cabin with its beauty, charm, and quiet location. While the temperatures were hot, we were still able to enjoy the outdoors with the covered porch and outdoor ceiling fan. We would recommend this home to our friends and family.

Beyond our expectations

This is a piece of heaven on earth. My husband and I celebrated our anniversary here and was so amazingly impressed by the beauty of the property/cabin and also the graciousness of our host! We were so blessed by him and his hospitality. We did not want to leave and chose to stay an additional night. We will definitely be back! The property was absolutely beautiful, and so peaceful and quiet. Everything was very clean (just some occasional ash that would land on surfaces from the fireplace, which we didn’t use, but wasn’t a big deal), and the bed was super comfortable. Everything was nicely upgraded for being a rustic cabin, and we would absolutely stay there again.

Our cabin was built by my great uncle back in 1934, which we renovated back in 2009. We have been able to share this special place with 100's of guests over the past years

Location, location, Location- Our cabin is the perfect home base for all your outdoor activities and adventures in the Shenandoah Valley. Our log cabin is secluded and built on a 100 foot cliff above the Shenandoah River with 35 acres of privacy. The Shenandoah River State Park and the Skyline Drive northern entrance are both only a ten minutes drive. The newly built Canopy Tours zip line was just open in the summer of 2014 which takes over 3 hour to complete. If you’re more interested in water activities; swimming, fishing or boating is all just a walk or 10 minute ride. There are three boating companies in the area which offer numerous options for floating down the river. Did someone say wine tasting? There are over 30 wineries within 30 minutes of our cabin with new ones opening every year. We hope you will choose our home base for a memorable getaway.
