Nice little getaway

First family vacation with our daughter. Plenty of room in the 1br for a pac n play. 10-15m walk to the beach and all pier/downtown.. close enough for all the amenities, but far away enough to be in a quiet area. The building itself has 5 units. Would definitely stay again.

Basement

I wasnt happy there was no disclaimer about having to empty a dehumidifier so that the place wouldnt get musty. It says no smoking but clearly smells like it had previously been. Over all the location was decently close to the beach.

convenient location

My only complaint was that the smoke alarm, which was in the bedroom, needed a new battery and chirped all night long. I had to sleep on the couch and closed the door to the bedroom to try and muffle the sound.

Not what was expected; called so we could check in early In the I have a hard time with stairs. A tough walk to the beach? Hilly & bumpy more 5 minutes

Close to beach

You can walk to the beach-very convenient. It is a basement apartment and you can hear activity in the upstairs apartment. Owner responded when I texted the next day and offered to remind guests of 10 am quiet time. Apartment decor was dated. Futon was very uncomfortable to sit on and the back is damaging the nice woodwork. A couple drawers are falling out. Kitchen is well stocked with anything you need to cook AC works well! Bed was very comfortable.

The only thing we did not like during our trip was the place where we stayed. The appartement is spacious enough for our family of 4. The cleaning lady did what she had to do but the smell of humidity was terrible and that wasn't the biggest issue. We had to deal with insects day and night. A lot of them were big ants walking on walls, on the table and on the ground. I would come back again to old orchard but never at that place. On a positive note, the location is great. 4 minutes walk to the beach and about 10 minutes to get to the main street. The parking lot is tight but you can park on the street easily.

Complaints

This place was a very cute basement apartment I did have some complaints. The walls were very scuffled up and the walls in the room were also dirty also room had a musty smell also no matter who you have above you you will hear Everthing and it was very disturbing happened till late night the parking also was a issue with all units it says one parking spot per unit and every unit had more then one car in the drive way and also blocking the driveway also if you are planning to stay here and are 6ft or taller you will not fit in the shower also there is not a private space for your own porch it is shared and also the backyard also only had one picnic table and had two in a box that we're not put together so you do have two share between units also if you do have kids be careful because there is a huge drop cliff in the back blocked by a small 4ft fence they can walk around it overall good location 5minute walk to the beach .
