We recently finished a big basement project and are in the process of reorganizing where we store our beach gear, so we apologize for the inconsistency in the information. We'll be updating our house guide to reflect the current setup. We also appreciate you letting us know about the table knives. During our busy summer season, items occasionally disappear between turnovers, and we would have been happy to bring more over had we known. Those are now replaced so thank you! The suggestion to include instructions for the ice maker is a great one and we'll be adding those to our information book. We were disappointed to read this review particularly because none of these concerns were. brought to our attention during the stay. NOT ONE. Had we been notified of items such as a light bulb or questions about how something operated (the ice machine is brand new and works fine, along with all new appliances in the kitchen, new A/C, new furnace) we would have responded immediately, as we always strive to resolve any issue while our guests are still in the home. We respectfully disagree with the characterization that the property is poorly maintained. The home is professionally cleaned, regularly maintained (just had carpets cleaned, paint touched up, and numerous outside and basement improvements). The comments suggesting the home is neglected or generally not maintained simply do not reflect the condition of the property or the experience reflected in our 9.4/10 rating from almost 100 reviews, which are inclusive of very recent ones. We believe it is important to let future guests know that the only issue during this stay was during the check out in which the guest was not checking out on time and left the cleaners standing waiting for an hour at which point we had to charge an extra fee because in the busy summer months it put everyone behind. We always welcome honest, constructive feedback and work hard to provide every guest with a wonderful stay and have many repeat visitors!
