Welcome to the Portrait House, a Mid Century house by Donald Wexler in an historic Palm Springs neighborhood! The house is thoughtfully designed and decorated inside and out with your vacation in mind. Imagine your own portrait here: basking by the beautiful pool, relaxing in the spacious back yard with a stunning Mountain View! The back yard is veritable play house: we have a professional Table Tennis table and Corn hole!

Architecturally interesting 3 Bdrm house with Mountain View featuring:

PLEASE NOTE:

Natural Gas prices have skyrocketed and there is an all inclusive $75/day charge to heat the pool/jacuzzi. For stays over 29 nights, utilities are billed separately based on actual usage and are not included in the rate.

Lots of Mid Century gems. Quiet, very walkable neighborhood. Downtown about 10 minutes away.

Great for our family of 4

The property was as advertised. Great for our family of four. (2 adults, and 2 kids ages 9 & 12) Everyone had enough space with their own rooms. Beds and pillows were on the cheaper side, and not super comfortable but we all survived. The supplies in the kitchen were great. House manager was SO friendly and helpful. Quick to respond, and checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. Lots of towels. Better path to the hot tub would be great, as its through crushed rock (not great barefoot) Backyard games were a HIT, and honestly one of the reasons we booked this house.

Pool time!

Pool and jacuzzi were a hit! Games were an added bonus. The kids loved the turning chairs lol!! The manager was the best!!

A Glorious Three Days In Palm Springs

With my husband and me being East coasters and our daughters and son-in-law(s) living in two different West coast locations, it is rare for all six of us, plus the grand dog to spend time all together. As the daughter with the dog lives in L.A., it was easiest for them to be able to drive to a location, so Palm Springs it was!Our major requirements were three bedrooms with proper queen or king beds for couples (no futons or pullouts), a sofa or comfy seating that would accommodate all of us, a hot tub, convenient location, the price point we were comfortable spending, and grass in the backyard so the dog could, you know.We narrowed our search down to four choices, and The Portrait House seemed to fit all our requirements, and more.We had great communication with Devin and Tebow, and check-in/check-out was really easy.The house itself is very modern and has all of the amenities that were needed, and so much more. There is a nice-sized pool in the backyard, a gas grill for bbq's, lots of games to play, very comfortable beds with enough drawers and hanging space, and a ping pong table and other games in the backyard.The only "complaint" is the primary bathroom doesn't have a door. Otherwise, we were extremely happy everything, and if we visit Palm Springs again, we definitely will stay here. And most importantly, my family got to spend time together, and no matter where we go in the future, there will definitely be lots of ping pong tournaments.

Great stay!

We very much enjoyed our California adventure at the portrait house! Everything was extremely neat and organized which made for a no stress environment. The property manager, Devin was also very responsive and helpful. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Palm Springs!

Beat the heat

Property was easy to get to from freeway and only 10 min from downtown/food/shopping. House was not ready at check-in time (3:00) but we were able to get in by 3:45 pm. Little bummed we had to wait- had food in the car that needed refrigerating. House was beautiful. Pool was perfect, however there were no pool noodles, floats, etc. overall, this property was perfect for our needs and would recommend to others. Pool was refreshing, even in 125 degree heat.

Beautiful MCM and Wonderful Stay

Our family had a lovely stay a this Palm Springs MCM home. The sleek design and attention to detail created a stylish yet cozy stay. The heated pool was the perfect temp for a December getaway. There was something special about having access to your own pool to enjoy! The property was well-maintained and the amenities provided exceeded our expectations. The location was convenient for exploring Palm Springs. Devin was responsive and accommodating ensuring our experience was seamless. We definitely will return to this oasis of mid-century charm!

Great Stay ... Great Location ... Great Weekend

This location was close to Palm Springs... AMAZING neighborhood, and great house. Back yard pool and yard were perfect for relaxing during the day and talking while chilling with friends. Hot tube was great to relax before bed, and so close to everything you can imagine to eat. Highly recommend a stay if you're looking for a great weekend or even longer. I wish I was staying longer and working remote.

Relaxing in Palm Springs

We had a pleasant and relaxing 2-night stay in Palm Springs. The portrait house was clean and had everything we needed for cooking and eating our meals. It was too cold to enjoy the pool, but we did use the hot tub. Our dog also enjoyed the home. There was plenty of room for him to romp in the backyard and the neighborhood was safe for his morning walks. Portrait house is an older mid-century modern home, which I love and it was beautifully decorated. Keep in mind that it is an older home that has been updated, so you should not expect brand new. It is comfortably lived in and well preserved. The check-in process was easy!!! I would stay here again.

Delightful!

This is a truly lovely house in a fantastic neighborhood. Just a short drive to DTPS. It's well-appointed and the manager was super-quick to respond to the one or two questions we had. Really great spot for a getaway!

Pool fun in the Sun.

Kicked off spring break with an all-girls birthday bash— and this cool, bright home was perfect for our first days of pool and sun. We have been craving fun in the sun, and the backyard was perfect to keep all of us occupied and in bliss. Super cool decor indoors and color pops everywhere (updated and even better than in the photos), everything felt both cool and comfortable. Lemonade, cactus, linen, blue sky, classic movie star-inspiration— this wonderful home kept our spirits up and the vibes high. We had so much fun and loved all the space and fun to be had in the backyard. Lovely neighborhood.

Mid century charm

First, it is so clear how much time and love went into the decor of this house. I so appreciated the overall vibe of this place - mid century on the outside and the inside created a vintage charm in everything about the portrait house. The beds were comfortable and I got a great night's rest. Easy, short drive into downtown palm springs and an hour to joshua tree. It was raining when we arrived and the property manager gave us use of the hot tub (which sounded like it's usually an extra charge) given the not great weather which was a very nice gesture to make our stay more enjoyable. He met us at the property for check in and showed us around which was helpful. Stay here! A++
