*Minutes from downtown Ellijay with the full feeling of escaping it all. Both convenient and quiet. PS- no crazy windy roads!
*Single story with easy, comfortable layout for all combinations of visiting guest.
*2 bedrooms have private access to the screen in back porch.
* Bunkroom no exterior access for extra safety.
*Back, screened in porch has 180 nature and mountain views and is perfect for reading, chilling, game playing and dining.
*The lower deck offers a hot tub with privacy, nature and night time star viewing.
*Gravel side area off of game room includes a fit pit & grill with views of the mountains and stairs.
*Front area provides outstanding sunset views, star viewing and a hammock to relax in.
*Inside guest can enjoy a 2-sided fireplace between the living room and dining area.
*The game room offers an additional hangout zone, games, TV and a poker table that once belong to Grizzly Adams.
*Fully furnished kitchen for baking and cooking if you choose.
*You can hike straight from the back deck down to a stream, pond and follow many offshoot trails through Walnut Mountain.
*Walnut Mountain community amenities include ponds for fishing, a playground, tennis courts, a seasonal pool, picnic area, trails and guarded gates.
*Tip- bring a pool tube and enjoy floating around the stream at the picnic area.

Weekend getaway

The home is just as listed, very clean and super quiet! We enjoyed the peace and serenity as well as the visit from some local bears. Navigating to the property was easy, views were beautiful, and the entire space was cozy without being too small. I’d love to stay again!

Cozy get away

Great place to get away and relax. Beautiful views out of the large windows with many deer saying hello in the morning. The hot tub and game room was definitely an added bonus. Very clean and comfortable. We definitely plan to come back again.

New Year get away

The house and location were great . This was a family trip and there was plenty of room for everyone to enjoy family time and their own space. Also plenty to do - hot tub , fire pit, awesome game room and equipment to cook meals in the kitchen. Host was very helpful - We look forward to returning.

Beautiful property!!!

We really enjoyed our stay. The house is near the top of the mountain and has beautiful views. The owners are very helpful and responsive. We had an issue during our stay and they were very quick to respond and offer assistance. We definitely recommend this property!

Great place for a family

The home is nice & has a perfect layout for a family. Plenty of room. Nice back porch & outside seating. It’s at the end of a cul de sac & you aren’t right up under other cabins.The community pool is not far & nice. I would definitely stay here again.

Family Vacation

The home was clean, had plenty of space and amenities were all as described. It was the perfect get away to spend time with family for Christmas. The propane ran out during the stay. Nate responded quickly, stayed in contact, gave options and made sure propane was delivered. Nate and Shana were great hosts.

Amazing mountain top property!

This home rose above and beyond our expectations. We are in love with this property. We enjoyed the views, the fire pit and the game room. The full view across the back of the living room was fantastic as well. The bedrooms and beds were very comfortable everything was extremely comfy and welcoming.

Peaceful vacation

Our family of 5 had a wonderful vacation at the cabin. It is on a quiet, peaceful cul-de-sac and the views are amazing. The cabin is spacious and very comfortable. The kids loved the hot tub and playing cards, darts, and basketball in the game room. We also enjoyed hiking the trails in the neighborhood. It is conveniently located to both Ellijay and Blue Ridge and we enjoyed the shopping and restaurants in both towns. We would definitely recommend this cabin!

Fall Break 2024

We had such a relaxing and fun Fall Break!! The kids enjoyed the hammock and game room, the adults loved everything! We went to Hillcrest Orchards and enjoyed the Apple Festival, bounce pads, pig races, games and of course snacks & souvenirs! We took the kids gem mining and putt-putt golfing. Had lots of deer visit the cabin and saw a bear cross the road returning to the cabin one afternoon! The cabin was clean and very comfortable.

Beautiful Property

Beautiful view high up on the mountain. The cabin was very spacious. Easily fit three adults and four children. We definitely used the kitchen which was stocked up with dishes and cooking utensils. There's a nice grill outside that we used. Overall, would definitely recommend if you have a large group and don't want to be on top of each other in a cramped hotel room!

Incredible Mountain Home/Cabin; Perfect for Families!

We had a fantastic family getaway at this property! Wonderful mountain views, with just the perfect amenities to make it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy nature. Spacious rooms, beautiful view to the mountains throughout the entire home, cozy living room, and the kids loved the game room and hot tub. Definitely recommend. Both Shana and her husband were wonderful; they accommodated us and communicated with us to made sure our stay at their mountain home was just perfect. We traveled with a 2 year old, 8 year old, and 13 year old and this location was perfect for all ages! Def recommend and look forward to returning in the summer.

Cute house

We enjoyed our stay here. We did have an issue when we got there with getting in the house due to the key pad being dead, but I called the owner and we were able to get that resolved quickly. It is a very cute house and is in a quiet neighborhood on a mountain. The owner was friendly and quick to respond. Hot tub was nice to have but was kind of dirty and could have used a good clean. I also did not like that there weren’t curtains on atleast all of the bedroom windows. Over all it was a nice get away for us, as we would definitely stay here again. The surrounding areas offer a lot to do an see as well, so that’s also a plus.

Nice view

We had a nice stay. The kitchen was well equipped with dishes, pots and pans dishwasher, washer and dryer etc. The only thing ther were only 3 bath clothes, there were about 10 towels. I reached out to the owner they did not have laundry service but she said to go to Walmart and purchase some and she would reimburse me. Over all we had a great stay.

Mountain Getaway

We enjoyed getting to know the little town of Ellijay. It is in a beautiful part of northern Georgia. We had a few hiccups with our stay but Shana was very responsive and quick to help. We really enjoyed playing tennis at the nearby community court and watching the deer wandering through the yard. Something to note, especially when trying to find the garbage dumpsters, is that there are 4 different gated entrances to different sections of the community. The dumpsters are at a different gated entrance than the cabin.

We are a family of 5 living in the Atlanta area. We love getting away from the city to enjoy the beautiful mountains surrounding Ellijay. We fell in love with Walnut Mountain on one of our trips and decided to make it a second home.

We love the location of the property. It is an easy drive to get groceries, visit downtown and do some antique shopping. The property sits on a quiet part of the mountain with easy ground to hike around and we love that the community has little lakes, streams, a basketball area, tennis and a playground.

We love the 360 mountain views, star light at night and privacy the property offers. Whether you are swinging on the hammock on the front porch, sipping coffee on the couch or enjoying time in the hot tub there are little mountain views everywhere. At night enjoy gorgeous star gazing and the quiet privacy this property affords.
