Joshua Tree Desert Homestead Family Living

You don't want to drive forever.
Our place is in the safest neighborhood (The Highlands), perfectly equidistant between the National Park Entrance and Joshua Tree Village.

You prefer an epic sunset views and the best star-gazing in the area, but also vital modern conveniences like reliable, unlimited, truly high-speed Starlink Wi-Fi, thoroughly purified 7-stage Home Master water, and high-end resort level cleaning practices and staff.

Eames Office chair with a Victorian era steel desk anchor the work area. Surrounded by Design Within Reach daybeds for focused deep-work.

Because in the mobile work economy, sometimes we just have to get things done before we play.

Many top artists have come to complete their masterpiece, top writers completed novels, top actors workshopped, visiting musicians jammed, and fun-loving families played.

You're with little ones and you don't want to drag along a Danish Stokke high-chair and Baby Bjorn pack sleeper. And you need a safe place for them to play before the big hike...

You are traveling with friends or loved ones and want everyone to have their own space, but feel connected...

Welcome to Togetherness House!

Nice stay away from home

We needed to be in this exact area and the House was super affordable, House is on the older side, but the Queen and double were very comfortable, Kitchen well stock and relaxing on the padio at night was nice with great view, all kinds of games, books, was a great stay

Great spot!

Great spot for just the two of us. You have the whole house to yourself and plenty to do at night should it be too cold or cloudy to stargaze. Everything was very clean and plenty stocked. Located very close to the main road to get into the national park. 10/10 will book again.

Great desert retreat

The rental was a great landing pad for my visiting family to see the desert near Joshua Tree with quick access into the National Park. The house had lots of space from its neighbors, great views of the nearby mountains and desert, had multiple sleeping options, and had been remodeled and well-appointed without losing its early to mid-century rustic feel.

Oasis

This was a lovely step away from the mundane and offered such a lovely opportunity to reconnect as a family. My only regret is not staying longer! Thank you for the care that you put into making a VRBO resortative.

Great location!

My partner and I were hoping to explore the park, do some stargazing and get some r&r (as much as possible with two middle grade kids). We achieved our goals at this home away from home. Super clean, easy to access the west entrance of the park, convenient to get to brunch and got to see some local critters around the property. Thanks for hosting some of our new favorite memories!

Great location and very well appointed

Everything you need for a great time in joshua tree. Host is very sresponsive and kind. Clean. Caffeine and mustard if you forget to pick it up on the way in. Comfy beds. Beautiful view. Quiet neighborhood. Close to Joshua tree entrance. And fat boys albums on vinyl if you want to school your teens on the good ole days :).

Amazing Family Trip

We are a big city family, and it was so nice to get out into nature and to see some stars. This house has a wonderful place to sit and stargaze. My teen children where truly amazed with the vinyl and VHS collection in the house. It was such fun to explain about rewinding tapes and how you just have to let a vinyl play, no easy song skipping. The rooms and beds where very comfortable and easy to sleep in. Some of the best sleep I have had while traveling. The location to Joshua Tree National Park made it so easy to go back and forth to the park. I am so grateful that this house was such a perfect part of our family adventure.

Thank you so much for this thoughtful review. Warms our hearts to hear, as connecting as a family while traveling is precisely why we share the home. We know how magical that can be, and how this special place lends itself to that type of deep connection.

Awesome Vintage Vibe Homestead!

This place is super cool! Amazing views and amazing vintage vibe. Even my 18 yr old fell in love with the style! The house was clean and loaded with everything we could need. Lots of outdoor seating and chill spots. Located right outside the park with the same boulder landscapes. Each morning, as I drank my coffee, I watched 4 desert foxes emerge from their den and head off down the wash. A family of quail swarmed me at the front porch the first morning. I suspect they get fed by guests. What a cool place! I highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in JT. Thank you!

Being both raised in Southern California we often took for granted the diverse landscapes that we have grown accustomed.
It's when friends would visit us that we could see the awe in their eyes.
So we meticulously restored our original Homestead with consideration of our impact on nature and the delicate balance.

この宿泊施設のオーナーになった理由

Located in the heart of the prestigious Joshua Tree "Highlands" neighborhood, overlooking Monument Manor and Joshua Tree Village with stunning views of the National Park, and incredibly convenient to both the park and the village.

There is a reason this property was one of the first homesteads in Joshua Tree - the setting is special. Even locals know the place's special perch overlooking downtown and the National Park.

この宿泊施設の特徴

We are one property away from the border of the National Park and surrounded by nature and celebrity compounds.
Every sunset is a neighborhood event, as neighbors will hike from their front doors. Say hello - this is the known as the friendliest and safest neighborhood in the basin.
