Commander's Cove Lakeview House on Toledo Bend

Sip coffee on the covered deck and take in the beautiful sunrise over the lake surrounded by Sabine National Forest. Keep an eye out for Bald Eagles, and an Osprey nest atop a 20 ft high tree stump just a quarter mile from shore. The mobile home is inside Mid Lake Campground located on Toledo Bend, one of the best bass fishing lakes in the country, and we have the best crappie fishing right below our marina. Sabine National Forest offers hiking and nature trails for outdoor enthusiasts.

2 bedroom and 1 full bathroom with a shower. Bedroom 1 has a king bed. Bedroom 2 has a twin over double bunk bed with a trundle that can sleep 4 kids or 3 adults comfortably. The kitchen is nicely equipped with service for 8, and everything you need to cook or grill your favorite meals.

Wi-Fi available, however the remote nature of Toledo Bend lake means service can be spotty at times. You should have cell phone service with most providers.
Bring your Netflix, Amazon, Disney, or other streaming services account log in to connect to the smart Tv.

The entire house is yours to enjoy with the large covered deck with ceiling fan and gas grill (propane provided). There is a 2 bay covered carport. Washer and Dryer are available at no charge in the building behind the house. Please bring your detergent.

Guests have full access to the cabin, boat ramp, fishing under the covered boat house, fish cleaning station, and waterfront pavilion. Guests may reserve a boat slip ($15/day). Please confirm availability of boat slip before booking.

Commander's Cove is located inside Mid Lake Campground, which was built in 1968 with the creation of Toledo Bend Lake. Mid Lake Campground has pull through RV spaces, cabins, and houses. Many of our guests have long term "camps" in the campground; some reside in the campground year-round, while others are winter snowbirds. We have an onsite boat house (call for reservation), boat ramp, and convenience store with gas (including non-ethanol). The campground is very quiet and peaceful with friendly neighbors.

Mid Lake Campground and Commander's Cove is perfectly situated for a great fishing trip, a day on the lake, or total relaxation taking the amazing lake views in the clean country air. You can catch your limit of Crappie right under our boathouse, or visit the famous gator hole only 2 miles away by boat where you just might catch a trophy bass. We are 3 miles to the main lake, and 6 miles to Cypress Bend.

PET RULES:
1. 2 dogs maximum
2. No aggressive breeds allowed; such as but not limited to: Pit bulls, German shepherds, Rottweilers, Chow Chows, Doberman Pinschers, Siberian Huskies, Akitas, Mastiffs, Great Danes. If you are not sure, please inquire before booking.
3. Pets must be on a leash when outside and please pick up waste and dispose in garbage can. Please do not leave pets unattended outside at any time.
4. Please keep pets off furniture and beds.
5. Excessive barking or unruly behavior could result in being asked to leave without refund.

House Rules:
1. Please no smoking in the cabin.
2. Please be aware that community Quiet hours are from 10:00 pm to 6:00 am. This is both a community and a campground, so please be considerate of your neighbors.
3. Please do not turn the AC lower than 72 degrees, as it will freeze the unit. Please call the store asap if you have any issues.
4. Please note all garbage must be in garbage bags. Please do not throw loose trash into the can. We have guys that manually pick up the trash, so everything must be bagged. If you need more trash bags, please call the store.
5. Please keep pets off the furniture.
6. Please crate pets (if possible) when you are out of the cabin.
7. Pets must be always kept on a leash when outdoors.
8. Please pick up pet waste and discard in garbage.
9. Most importantly, have a great time!
