Enjoy pristine waters on nearby lakes, rafting the American River, off-roading, gold digging, Amador wineries and many other outdoor activities. 20 minutes to historic Placerville town, where you can enjoy local cuisine and wine tasting. 1 hour 20 minutes to South Lake Tahoe. 1 hour to Sacramento. Also excellent for mountain biking, dirt biking, atv-ing, etc.

Great weekend stay

What a great house and location. Had a great long weekend. The house was just as pictured, great wood burning stove and hosts were great and responded quickly! Would stay again

Property nice and Host was responsive and helpful. Close to wineries. They have goats, sheep and chickens on property. However, property could be updated and we were unfortunately unable to get internet. Overall worked for us.

Short visit

The home was very comfortable for the amount of time we were there. Some instructions on operating the TV would have been nice. Our bedroom was dark because most of the light bulbs were missing or not working. Same with the other bedroom we used. Loved having ceiling fans in the bedrooms. It was fun seeing the goats and chickens the afternoon we arrived. We enjoyed the personal family touches.

Nice quiet getaway

Great getaway if you want a great home base, owners were accommodating, nice and very friendly. The home is well furnished, relaxing and accommodating all of our needs. They have goats that heard right up to the porch, Chickens and we also saw some deer running around. We will be returning to this rental next year.

Clean and quiet home, prompt responses from owners. Long winding road - a little tricky at night, but great to be out of town. Nice back patio with large propane grill, lots of birds to watch. Short unpaved drive & driveway, but a bit of paved area right near front door, with a small table & chairs there.

Far enough from the real world but still close enough to all your every day necessities (groceries, store, hospital, restaurants and within 8-18 minutes drive)
