We’re Gerald, Kip, and Randy — Gainesville locals who love hosting and creating peaceful, welcoming spaces for travelers. We’ve stayed in Airbnbs and vacation rentals all over the country, so we know how much thoughtful touches and a cozy, lived-in feel can make a place stand out.

Gerald is a massage therapist and U.S. Army veteran, Kip is a homemaker who keeps everything running smoothly, and Randy works as a traveling healthcare trainer. Together, we’ve made this home a reflection of the kind of stay we love to experience: comfortable, private, and easy to settle into.

The Duckpond is truly special — it’s one of Gainesville’s oldest and most charming neighborhoods, full of century-old homes, tree-lined streets, and neighbors who wave when you walk by. It feels peaceful and tucked away, but it’s just minutes from downtown, parks, and the University of Florida.

We chose this neighborhood because of its character, its quiet energy, and the way it holds onto Gainesville’s history while still being vibrant and walkable. It’s the kind of place where you can breathe a little deeper and feel like you belong.

Our home is the oldest house on the street, built in 1930, and still features original details like pine trees that were once tapped for sap during Florida’s turpentine era. We’ve remodeled it with care, keeping the character while adding modern comfort.

It’s fully fenced for privacy, pet-friendly, and designed with families and solo travelers in mind. Whether you're sipping coffee in the backyard, cooking in the full kitchen, or settling in for a quiet night, we want every guest to feel relaxed, at home, and well taken care of.
