Hurd Creek Cabin is a truly exceptional, secluded, four-bedroom log home with a separate one room cabin that, together, can host everyone in classic Western style. This custom-built home sits on the serene Hurd Creek and 97 acres of beautiful forest bordering Rocky Mountain National Park with an abundance of wildlife, located only minutes from world-class skiing and recreation in the Winter Park/Fraser area. Enjoy endless trails nearby for hiking, biking, ATVs, dirt biking, snowmobiling, cross country skiing, or snowshoeing!

The space
Hurd Creek Cabin

Upon entering the home, guests are welcomed by warm furnishings and sunny views of Byer's Peak and our quaking aspens. Enjoy your favorite meals in the gourmet kitchen with everything you need to prepare your favorite meals. Gather around the dining table with seating for eight to connect with family and recount the day’s adventures! There is an additional dining/card table with seating for four. You'll love getting cozy in the living room to read a book by the woodstove or watch your favorite movie. Adjacent to the living room, the main king suite has a private gas fireplace, a television, and access to the patio. The expansive en-suite bathroom boasts two sinks, granite countertops, a soothing steam shower, a custom walk-in closet, and lots of natural light.

Opposite the main suite, you will find the second main level bedroom with a queen bed and access to the patio. This bedroom shares a and jack-and-jill bathroom with the third bedroom. This bathroom is the main bathroom for the main level of the home and offers a jetted tub and lots of natural light. The third bedroom hosts a king bed. Make your way upstairs to the lofted bedroom where you'll find two twin beds, plus a queen bed. The loft bathroom has a jetted tub, a shower, and a vanity. Also, the home offers two washers and dryers.

Step outside to the patio to use the gas grill then gather around the wood-burning firepit. Soak away the day's adventures in the private hot tub. After a day of outdoor adventure, the little ones can meander over to the separate cabin that is a kids' paradise! This retreat boasts a pool table, a TV, and a PlayStation. There is a queen-size sofa sleeper in the cabin, included in bed count. .

Dog-friendly for an additional fee. There is a limit of 2 dog(s) max 70 lb each. No other animals are allowed without specific Reward Estates approval.

* Please note that while there is heat in the detached cabin, there is no running water or restrooms.

Parking notes: Plenty of parking in the driveway, up to 4 cars. Do not park in or block the road.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a damage waiver fee which covers you for up to $2,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. More information can be found from the "Additional rules" on the checkout page.

Guest access to the basement/garage area is not included in the rental, this is for owner use only.
***Please note If you have a need for additional guests please send message and we can discuss the costs for usage of this area, includes 6 bunks.

Other things to note:

Cleaning fee includes hot tub maintenance/cleaning fee per stay

Pet policy - up to 2 dogs @ max 50 lbs each - 1st dog $150 fee per stay, 2cd dog addtl $50 fee per stay

ALSO NOTE: 5 Bedroom count/3 bedrooms on main floor with loft that includes 2 twin beds, 1 queen size bed, and full bath and the detached cabin behind the house has a pull out bed that sleeps 2, total beds for 12....listing shows this and breaks down into 5 bedrooms.

We have noticed many guests like to rearrange the furniture/furnishings around the home. We ask that you please do not move any furniture/furnishing in the home, leave all in place for the next guest to enjoy as the cleaning crew does not provided this service. We have the home set up as we feel fits the beauty of it and its guests. Thank you!

We love children and they are welcome in our home but you must supervise them as this home is not necessarily set up for little ones safety and also for the many breakable items in the home.

PLEASE do not touch any of the wildlife in the home for your safety and for their preservation.

Hot tub:

The hot tub towels are in basket near front door. Adjust temperature upon arrival to your comfort level, recommended between 100-103 degrees. If you turn on lights/jets please make sure you turn off when not using and temp back down to 80 degrees upon check out. PLEASE do not adjust any other settings on the hot tub. Thank you!

Oven:

To turn on there are two knobs in the middle between the burner knobs, the one on the left needs to be turned to the "on" position and the one the to right of it sets the temperature...both knobs have to be on to operate the oven.

Dishwasher:

PLEASE remove all food from dishes and rinse before loading in dishwasher as food will clog dishwasher and back up for next guest.

Thermostats:

Master bedroom/ bathroom thermostats are for the heated floors please DO NOT adjust …these take days to heat and cool floors… in summer months we keep these on 60ish in the winter months we will bump them up to 70ish.

Main house thermostat, located at back door foyer area:
Set at 65 when not occupied feel free to adjust to your preference, we will adjust remotely upon checkout
Cabin thermostat, on shelf wall by desk:
Please adjust as you prefer while occupied but set back to 65 when check out...never turn the system off!

Master bath shower door: Please leave open to help prevent mildew in shower!

Before departing...please :)

Dishes must be cleaned for next guest, please start dishwasher and if time put dishes away.

Outdoor grill must be cleaned after use so ready for the next guest use.

Please strip all beds of sheets and leave lay in floor next to bed.

ALL trash must be collected in the house, bagged up, and tied off then placed in trash dumpster outside
upon departure. The container is bear proof and must be shut and locked appropriately with pin key on chain to prevent bears from accessing.

All personal items that you brought into the house must leave with you…as much as we love kids and their stuff we don’t have storage for their left behind toys and any of your personal items that you no longer want…thank you!

Please make sure there is no food left in the frig or out anywhere in the house or the cabin, dispose of in dumpster… attracts critters and also bears between guest stays.

Hot tub lid closed and strap latched...temp set back to 80 degrees.

ALL doors and windows shut securely and locked...house & cabin please!! Cabin key put back where you found it on metal stand by house back door. We have had many guests leave windows and doors unlocked - please check all before departing!

NO SMOKING anywhere on the premises, this is strictly enforced and will result in damage fees.

We would ask you to please be respectful of the neighbors as you are arriving and departing the property, the speed limit is 30 and ask that you please follow that. This is where they live and play, out walking dogs and kids riding bikes quite often.

- Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 25 years of age to book. Guests under 25 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.
- 2 dog(s) are welcome in this home, fees apply. No other animals are allowed without specific Reward Estates approval.
- The property shall not be used by more than the number of adults and children listed in your reservation.
- All guests shall abide by Reward Estates good neighbor policy and shall not engage in illegal activity. Quiet hours are from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m.
- If early check-in is available for your reservation, you will be notified by 9am on the morning of your arrival by email. Late check-out is offered whenever possible.
- No smoking of any kind is permitted anywhere on the premises.
- No commercial photography or filming is permitted on the property. Tents or other structures may not be erected unless agreed upon and included in an event venue agreement separate from house rental.
- Renter is liable for any damage to the property and agrees to accept charges to the card on file should damage occur during occupancy.
-We are now hosting events on the property, this is a separate agreement from the house rental. Please inquire about details and only the max of 12 guests are allowed in the house and to stay overnight. There will be strict restrictions on the use of the home for any part of the event and a restroom trailer is mandatory for all guests of the event to use.
