Quiet, Cozy Cabin

This was our first time staying here but it will not be our last. The cabin was unique and perfect. The owners are amazing and we had everything we could possibly need. On the way home, my husband made the comment that this was his favorite place that we have ever stayed. Thanks so much for allowing us to stay here!

Perfect Getaway

This is by far our favorite vacation destination! Karen is so attentive and made sure we were taken care of and had everything we needed. The cabin is so relaxing and peaceful! Our kids loved playing badminton and making a fire in the fire pit every night. We wished we could stay longer and will definitely be back again next year!

As soon as we arrived we fell in love with the place. Perfect get away for a few days. Much needed

Loved staying here. We enjoyed everything we could possibly need was there. Wonderful meeting Karen they bother we’re very friendly and checked in on us to make sure we didn’t need anything. Loved seeing the horses and the peacock. The sunrise was beautiful and couldn’t ask for anything better. You can tell this cabin was built with love.

Stunning!

Stunning hand built cozy cabin with a nice secluded porch and yard. The owners were extremely polite and provided everything needed for the stay. Cabin was spotlessly clean and comfortable and I would love to stay here again soon. Thanks for the beautiful cabin!

Treasure in the woods

This couldn’t have been a more perfect getaway for my husband and I! The host/ess we’re so easy to communicate with which made the “process” go smoothly. I would 100% recommended this treasure in the woods for anyone looking to escape and unplug!

Wonderful Labor Day weekend in a beautiful cabin

This was a wonderful weekend in one of Greg and Karen Visors great rentals. This is one of my favorites because it is truly Handmade by the owners with so much craftsmanship and details there is a great story book about building the cabin. You will not be disappointed. It is such a wonderful area with all the nature and Wildlife and beautiful scenery the lake only two miles away and a trout stream 100 yards away. We brought our boat this time and enjoyed a couple days on the lake. The Visors keep a very clean and well maintained rentals it's like home away from home. If you are ever going to be in the East Tennessee area I would highly recommend these rentals you will not find a better place and most of all you will never find a better host. We actually booked another trip before we left and I would be there every weekend if I could. Actually if I told you everything I thought about this place it would be a book thank you Greg and Karen and we will see you soon.

Unique and fun cabin

The location was very convenient to the outdoor activities in Johnson City, Watauga Lake, and Damascus. The story of the building of the cabin was neat to read, and the yard by the cabin was great for the outdoor games the owner supplied. The owners definitely put a lot of thought and effort to equip the cabin for guests, and we appreciated it. Great stay!

AWESOME!

Karen (owner) was most helpful in every way such as the ease to book her cabin; making sure every need was met; and providing complete privacy! The cabin was built by her 4 sons (with help from their father) as a high school project! One can sense the love the parents instilled in their sons! I understand now why Karen has a PERFECT 5-star review!

Another wonderful trip to our favorite place!

This is our 4th time staying at one of Karen & Greg's properties. They are the most gracious hosts and make you feel completely welcome! I don't think we will ever stay at another property. We will return to continue our retirement house hunting.

Comfortable, relaxing little bit of paradise.

This cabin is the real thing on a lovely piece of property. There is trout fishing and animals to pet. The hosts could not be kinder, lovelier or more helpful. Lake Watauga, Elizabethton, Roan Mountain, Bristol, Kingsport, and West Jefferson all make great day trips if you are staying for a week or longer.

52 Anniversary

This cabin has it all. It is so equipped, there is nothing you will need that is not there. Karen & Greg are some of the nicest owners. Enjoyed sitting on front porch in swing early in the morning listening to nature. This is one that you must reserve. I just cant say enogh good thing about this cabin. There is also a creek at end of driveway. You will not regret staying here.

Amazing stay

We stayed for 4 nights with our 3 little kiddos. It was exactly what we were looking for. A quiet, secluded, beautiful cabin where we could wind down and relax. We had horses and peacocks next door to us which was amazing for the kids. The hosts are so nice and considerate. You can tell, they really care about their guests having a good time! We dined at Monsoons Thai. Very tasty food. We went antique shopping at Butler antiques and in Mountain city. We ended our trip with visiting Watauga point which was so peaceful and absolutely breathtaking.

This cabin was built entirely by our four sons, with Dad's oversight, as a homeschool project. Working every Saturday, from daylight until dark, for nearly three years, was a tremendous family experience and educational opportunity. The result is a handcrafted cabin with unique charm.
