Stay at Beaver Lodge!

This secluded and private one-bedroom cottage has two gas stoves to keep you toasty in winter and A/C to keep you cool in summer as you enjoy the country views out of every window. Comfortably appointed and super clean, the cottage features an enclosed porch, a large outdoor deck, a cozy living/dining/kitchen area, and a fenced-in backyard, making it ideal for dog owners. The deck has lounge chairs, a gas grill, a dining table with an umbrella, and a fire table. You are centrally located to great hiking, lakes, skiing, and charming towns. The lovely town beach on Lake Garfield is a 3-minute drive away. And folks tell us the bed has the most comfortable queen mattress! Across the road, there is, in fact, a beaver lodge! Three-night minimum for holiday weekends.

Beautiful spot! Perfect for a couples getaway. Loved that we could bring our dog and that the yard was fenced. We also really enjoyed the gas fire pit on deck.

Great location near great hiking. 15 mins to Great Barrington, 20 minutes to Lee. Enclosed backyard was a perfect size for oir 2 dogs.

My husband and dogs and I had a great time here ! Perfect location near hiking and cute downtowns. Fenced in yard was a godsend for the dogs ! Very well equipped little place; everything had been thought of! Definitely would come back.

Best Vacation Rental Ever

Summer Getaway at Beaver Lodge

Wonderfully situated property with everything you need! Beaver Lodge supplied us with kitchen supplies, bathroom supplies, books, and cleaning supplies. The property was secluded and clean. Everything was great besides the lack of strong air conditioning, making the summer days feel very warm inside. Our stay was also during a very strong heat wave, so is quite an anomaly. The septic system left a pretty strong odor, but it was localized in the bathroom and cannot be easily helped by the owners. Overall great stay! Highly recommended!

Great little escape!

A very comfortable stay, not far from Great Barrington and hiking trails. The fenced in dog area was a welcomed surprise. The owner was very responsive and communication was easy.

Clean, cozy cabin in the Berkshires

This was our second stay at the Beaver Lodge, and we can’t say enough positive about this clean, cozy, well stocked getaway in the Berkshires. Joel was a very accommodating and attentive host, quick to respond to requests, and he made sure we were well taken care, especially when a large snowstorm blanketed the area. Kitchen and bathroom are modern and super clean, allowing us to prepare some fabulous meals over the course of the weekend. The backyard is fenced in, so our dog could run off leash. And the property is ideally situated, very much off the beaten path, but still close to all the modern conveniences of Greet Barrington (Guidos market!), the Norman Rockwell Museum (incredible!), and lots of walks and hiking trails. Can’t recommend it enough.

Berkshire Getaway

We enjoyed our long weekend at the Beaver Lodge. It was the perfect size for a couple and a couple of dogs. We had no issues, everything was as described in the listing. The location was great. In a quiet area, but still close to many downtown areas around the Berkshires. Mass MOCA was an hour away, but worth the drive. The Beaver Lodge was a perfect spot for a relaxing weekend.

Thanksgiving Weekend

Great cottage right in my home town for the holiday weekend. We spend so little time in the place BUT it was clean! Warm! Great space peace and quiet. The bed was amazing and plenty of anything we needed. Thank you! A must repeat for sure.

Beaver Lodge

Our stay at Beaver Lodge was a great getaway. The house was perfect for a couple. A great place to enjoy the quiet. Joel was very responsive. An easy drive into Great Barrington and other villages in the Berkshires. Would stay there again and would recommend staying there to anyone.

Country Cottage

This cottage in the woods has been updated and thoughtfully prepared, providing many comforts and amenities while still preserving rustic charm in a beautiful setting. We greatly enjoyed our stay and will return.

Lovely cottage in great area

The cottage was superclean and uncluttered, with a comfortable full size bed, nice deck, and wooded setting. It's set back in a private way on a road with little shoulder for walking and the occasional cars that go by drive fast. Monterey is a cute town. We went to the big used book sale at the library, which seemed to bring the whole town out. We recommend High Lawn Dairy in Lee for ice cream and Gedney Farm for dinner.

A cozy, easy getaway

Joel's property is a cozy little getaway with everything a couple (in our case, with a 9-month-old in tow) could need. The place is impeccably clean and well-equipped for dinner, lounging, etc...with a nice outdoor area. Neighbors were friendly - especially JoJo the dog who I got well acquainted with :) Easy access to Great Barrington, Otis and all you could need in the Berkshires. 10/10 would stay again

Charming cottage

Great stay at charming Beaver Lodge- small but has everything needed for two people with lots of extra special touches. Loved relaxing on the expansive deck and conveniently located to Berkshire towns and attractions ! Hosts are excellent and easy to communicate with .
